Hi Sorry for worring 2mch but im unable to load the new file in the Tom Tom One Device. What is the procedure to load new map on device.
However i have dowloaded your two parts link from www.megaupload.com on PC but how can it be loaded on Tom Tom Device.
How will i know what is the v of Tom Tom One eg is it V1, V2, V3 or V4. Please help

It is in the readme file but basically if using XP, show hidden system files


To see hidden files:
1.
On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
2.
Click the View tab.
3.
Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

Note To access Windows Explorer, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.

Then go
My Computer/C:/Documents and Settings/Johnny?You/Application Data/Tomtom/Home/Profiles/***xx.default/Extensions/Navcore.716.8493 . Take a note of the exact name of the original'dll
Now Delete or Move the 7-163-8493-3.dll out of that folder. Copy the 8-011-9374-2.dll from the download into the folder to replace it and RENAME it to 7-163-8493-3.dll (or whatever was the exact name on the original.dll you removed
Done. If Home is still not happy then just hit "Back" and it will continue to search for new mapshares etc.
Get back to me if that doesn't make sense.

NB so you don't have to go through all that path again just make a shortcut to Home default on the desktop.

It won't matter which version of ONE you have when it comes to installing your map, it is the same for them all.
ALL the info you need to do this is contained in these posts

I manage to crack the MAP now please can you tell me how I can transfer the Cracked MAP to the device so I can able to operate new one, should I delet the old map folder and replace with new cracked one

Also I need to do this whats the procedure of it.

You now need to crack the Navcore ttsystem file
If your device is attached to your PC via USB then you now select option 2 . And wait until you get the finished or done message.
So that your cracked v7maps will show on TTHome you now select option 3

I downloaded the Western and Central Europe 2GB 805.1801 but cannot for the life in me get it to work.

I tried the "runme for all automatic" on the keygen and it didnt work.

so i then tried the individual keygens with the map files in the insert map files folder, still no joy.

What could i be doing wrong? mu UK and IReland map is fine using same keygen etc

Any ideas?

Open the PNA file in notepad to see if the map is what it says it is. i.e. Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB_805_1801
If it is then check that you have this meta.text in the EasyUseTools folder.

Make sure the map folder has NO SPACES in its' name like, Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB_805_1801

Make sure you are using option 1 "Run it for Navcore 8.010 and higher".

Please can any one help me. I have cracked the map and copied to the device, I am able to see the V720. i.e. the updated one via PC connection on My Tom Tom but when I disconnect the device from PC it says Map not found. Whats the problem can any one help. On top rleft side it says Select Map:

i have checked pna file and it says its Western and Central EUROPE 2gb 805 1801.
There are no spaces in folder name (it did flag that up at first so i renamed folder and replaced space with underscore)
i am using option 1 for 8010 and higher.

here is text from mc.txt file after i have run keygen and it looks like its worked according to that (i think)

Did you use the v8 EasyUseTools from the linked download?
When you touch tomtom time box and it goes to version what does it say?
When you touch version what does it say?
Do you have both maps on the same SD card?
If so, when you go to change preferences/manage maps/switch maps what does it say?
If they are not on the same SD card are ALL the files the same except for the map folder?
Look in the non working map folder is there a DCT file? Delete it and run the RunMeforAllAutomatic again. Is there a DCT file now?
Depending on the method you chose did you put the meta.file PNA.file and DCT.file back into the map folder?

Thanks for all your help. As per your instruction i had followed the cracking method and able to crack it but the problem is that when we switch on the device it says No Map Found. However when it is connected with PC the updated version of map is seen in the Tom Tom Home and also accepts necessary changes command.
Please can you tell me what may be the problem and how can it be rectified.

You haven't patched the system. Remember when you ran "RunMeforAllAutomatic" ?
You chose option 2 Run it for Navcore 7 up to 8.002 (or you should have!)
It then gave you 3 options .
You need to run all three
So, do 1
when it is done do 2
when it is done do 3

Seems you only did 1 and 2.

Hi.

I'm new here and have been reading quite a bit through this thread, and am dizzy ;).

I have a Kaiser phone (actually an AT&T Tilt). I've been using TomTom for a while, v6.032, and purchased 6.75 maps just a month and half ago.

I have installed a TT7 7.45.9028, that has been referred to as 'repack 3'. I don't have any idea if that means it is a 'cracked', 'Patched' or what. But it does run with just one of my maps, the 6.75 map I recently purchased.

I have read there are newer maps, and it has been suggested I put on 7.2. I need US and Canada.

I don't seem to find them on TomTom.com to download for my phone. I've seen posts here on maps, but all links I've run across for U.S. and Canada maps seem to be dead.

Anyone with any thoughts to steer me would be appreciated. (Maybe I can't run them on this device...I don't know).

OK done that all seems ok in text that appears as keygen runs, no errors

i used the method where i put SD card in card rerader then ran runmeforallautomatic, i chose drive letter of sd card
and let it run so didnt need to move any files after.

AFTER THIS I REPLACED SD CARD IN TOMTOM ONE AND BOOTED UP, WHEN BOOTED I SWITCHED MAPS AND THIS TIME , HEY PRESTO IT WORKED.

Same maps. Navigator 6 uses v6 maps. Navigator 7 uses v7 maps.

This thread isn't the best for mobile phones info though.

Just had a thought.
When you attach your tomtom to the PC via USB it needs to be switched on.
It will say do you want to connect to the computer touch YES. (TomTom reboots)
If Home starts just close it. (Home not your tomtom!)
Check in My Computer to see that your tomtom is seen as a drive. It should be given a drive letter by your PC. Watch in My Computer as you connect your TomTom to see which letter it is assigned.
( If you have an SD card and you are using a card reader, instead of the tomtom, the SD card should also be seen as a drive and given a drive letter)
In EasyUseTools when you use RunMeforAllAutomatic and chose option 2
"Run it for Navcore 7 up to 8.002"
then again option 2 "Run ttsystem Patcher"
It will ask, "Enter Driveletter of TT Devicestorage: "
You must put in the drive letter that your PC has given your tomtom or SD card as described above.
Wait until you get the finished message.

I am still strugling with the same problem, while processing through Option 2 from 3 choices I am getting same error message "An Unknown Error" and while Option 3 it does not ask for device location i.e. which drive. But I am still able to access through PC showing the updated Map V720.***.

What may be the problem why its showing properly on Tom Tom Home and on device "Map Not Found"

If you are using this version of EasyUseTools http://rapidshare.com/files/13241233...W_8_KEYGEN.zip and are following the instructions properly I cannot understand why you are getting, "An Unknown Error" when you select option 2 "Run ttsystem patcher"
If you are getting that message then your ttsystem file in your Tomtom device is obviously not patched.
I cannot think of anything else to try except go over your steps making sure you have followed the instructions exactly. Apart from that I cannot help you. Sorry.

The reason it is showing on Home is you have patched the Nav.dll in Home. It is not your actual tomtom you see on Home just an emulation.
What letter does your PC give to your Tomtom when you connect it?

Have easily upgraded my TomTom One v2 to v8 Navcore and put on v8 Western and Central Europe Map

Working a treat except (and you knew it was coming) I cannot update via Mapshare using Home. I can add voices, sounds, arrows, colour schemes etc etc but when I try to get the Mapshare updates I get the following message:-

'TomTom HOME cannot install the map connections to your device. Invalid response from server'

Anyone got any ideas. I've even wiped the card and started again.

I didn't have this folder at all so I created a Navcore.8.011.9374@tomtom.com and stuck this file in it

I really hate to ask this, but ...

I downloaded the fiels from that link. 9 Downloaded. It appears that maybe they are a collection of split files.

But with the RAR utility I have, if I click on any of them and select combine, it says "Cannot detect file as split file". And when I extract them individually, I get extractions, but errors saying "Data error: File is broken".

I am using 7-Zip File manager.

Am I thinking wrong about these files? need a different RAR tool? Or do you recon these files are really broken?

I've got a snaeaky feeling this is something to do with the info in ttgo.bif and Home saying, ermm well this is a TomTom One it shouldn't have Navcore 8 on it.

I placed a copy of tomtom v7522 on an sd card put it in a card reader then ran tomtom home and it updated my map to W.E 720 which i was entitled to free upgrade but it would not give me upgrade with patched tomtom system plugged in. It also gave me mapshare updates so i will just cut and paste onto system to see if it works.

The control side through Home works fine. The problem is with the Map Corrections when you run the update. It found the GPS update and applied it and also some voices updates so that side of it is fine. It then thinks about the Map Corrections - says they have been correctly downloaded to Home but then wont go any further to apply them. Daft really.

No - just the 7.163.8493@tomtom.com

If you remove the Nav8 folder you made then run Home it should say you need to download a file. Allow it to do this. It should download Nav8.dll and other files. Replace the Nav8 dll with your cracked one.

This is a nice program for making waypoints and routes, it's made for Garmin but you can use it with TomTom if you are clever. I wish TomTom would make a program like this for us. Also check out www.geocaching.com for GPS Treasure Hunts you can download waypoints to treasure hunts around the world, a great hobby I've been into sometime now. They have some great third party programs there for making and converting waypoiints and Poi's.

So I was right it isn't a 1803 map. You can be reassured that the DCT will be the correct one and that it is not the problem with activation.
Your best bet now would be to post on the 'pocket PC forums. I don't know too much about PDAs

I have Nav 7.54 which I downloaded from TomTom Home (couple of days ago) should I be using a different version of NAV? also should maps go in root like 6 maps or do I need a directory? Someone please advise! This is like the 5th version of a 7 map and all aren't being seen. I'm losing my mind...

I really hate to ask this, but ...

I downloaded the fiels from that link. 9 Downloaded. It appears that maybe they are a collection of split files.

But with the RAR utility I have, if I click on any of them and select combine, it says "Cannot detect file as split file". And when I extract them individually, I get extractions, but errors saying "Data error: File is broken".

I am using 7-Zip File manager.

Am I thinking wrong about these files? need a different RAR tool? Or do you recon these files are really broken?

Have we to guess which firmware you are talking about? Give us a clue, is it for a Tomtom PNA or a pocket pc. Do you think it might help if you said which device you want the firmware ( presumably you mean Navcore) for?

Read posts 1915 and 1916. If you download the keygen from that link (still active!) and follow the instructions properly it will work.

The map folder (which must have NO SPACES in the name) is placed in root. Name your map folder

First make sure that your map folder is named without spaces like, Western_and_Central_Europe_2GB_720_1802 (it matters)

This will crack 7 and 8 maps though it will not patch Nav8 ttsystem files or patch Home dll version 8.
When you open it up it will have 3 folders and 3 command scripts and 2 text files. One of them is called Meta, ignore it for now as there is another Meta text in the folder called Progs. (leave it there)
The other is called Device ID. You should type your Tomtom device id in there. It can be found by tapping in the rightside box where the time is and then tapping the version box. you will see SOMETHING LIKE " Device AD2RW AY3TR
You must type YOUR device ID into the Device ID text file in CAPITALS with NO spaces like AD2RWAY3TR ( important)

Connect your Tomtom to your PC via USB. If Home starts up shut it down.

Open your map folder and find the file called ( I'm guessing here as you didn't say which map you have!) Western_and_Central_Europe-14.meta META File and drag it into the folder called, "insert meta from map here".
Double Click the Command Script called, "RunMeforAllAutomatic"
You are presented with options 1 and 2. As we are assuming you have Navcore 7 you type 2, and press enter.
You now have three options 1, 2, and 3.
You type 1 and press enter.")
You are asked for a drive letter. This is the drive letter that your PC gave the tomtom when you connected it. Look in "My Computer" for it when you connect and before you begin the crack so you will know what letter to type in.
You type 1 and press enter.

NB Don't get confused by the Basic Explanation messages. They are NOT what is happening only explanations of what the messages would mean IFyou got them,

A DCT file will be made in the "insert meta from map here" folder. Copy BOTH files META and DCT back into your map folder
The map is now cracked.
You now need to crack the Navcore ttsystem file
you now select option 2 . And wait until you get the finished or done message.
So that your cracked v7maps will show on TTHome you now select option 3.

Done!



You do not need to connect your Tomtom If you only want the DCT file to crack your map.
Place both the META file and the PNA file from your map folder into the, "insert meta from map here" folder and your device ID into the Device ID file as before but run Command Script "RunMeforDCT" this time.
Select 2 (for Nav7) then enter, and then 1 and enter. Copy all 3 files back into your map folder."

After running Tomtom7 once, it will generate a file called ttnavigator.bif in the root of your SD card. Open this file with a text editor, eg notepad, and you can read your Device Id off there.

Hi all

I got Garmin MobileXT installed in my HTC Tytn II but it doesn't seem to work properly as it was. It is trying to scan attached GPS Device which never happened before.

I've switched the Program Port into COM3 or 5 but it did nothing at all.

Could you please advice on what is going on because it's really troublesome.

As you have a tomtom One v2 you just switch on your device, tap on the box with the time, tap where it says version and it will say on the next page amongst other things something like Device: AH3DT A3SYE

The post I pointed you to # 2159 contains this already, "The other is called Device ID. You should type your Tomtom device id in there. It can be found by tapping in the rightside box where the time is and then tapping the version box. you will see SOMETHING LIKE " Device AD2RW AY3TR"

I know it's not a TomTom proggy but it's very usefull... scan my posts and get a copy... also try the link I gave to www.geocaching.com and check out the third party programs there as well as the cool treasure map waypoints... Geocaching is a cool sport where you can use your GPS to find treasure etc... They have lots of third party GPS programs for Waypoints and routes... I've been at it for years, two years ago Jeep was giving away 100 Jeep Cherokees in Geocaching Hunts! You can find treasure hunts from all over the world there. a Great way to see a new place on your vacation.

You cannot downgrade the bootloader it is an irreversible system change. 5.5012 is fine for fw 7.162 It allows use of 4GB HDSD cards is all.

If you are running Nav8 higher than 8.002 i.e. 8.010 or 8.011 you should select option 1 in the EasyuseTools run me for all automatic.
Which version of Nav8 are you using and where did you download it from?

You cannot "patch" Nav8. You need an already cracked ttsystem.file
This cracked ttsystem.file is contained in this download:

Delete your official ttsystem'file and replace it with the downloaded one.

No I was mistaken there. You can make a DCT without the ttsystem file. The above post you mentioned is from an 8.010 and should be fine. The johnnyboy147 post is for 8.011

It is in the readme file but basically if using XP, show hidden system files


To see hidden files:
1.
On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
2.
Click the View tab.
3.
Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.

Note To access Windows Explorer, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Windows Explorer.

Then go
My Computer/C:/Documents and Settings/Johnny?You/Application Data/Tomtom/Home/Profiles/***xx.default/Extensions/Navcore.716.8493 . Take a note of the exact name of the original'dll
Now Delete or Move the 7-163-8493-3.dll out of that folder. Copy the 8-011-9374-2.dll from the download into the folder to replace it and RENAME it to 7-163-8493-3.dll (or whatever was the exact name on the original.dll you removed
Done. If Home is still not happy then just hit "Back" and it will continue to search for new mapshares etc.
Get back to me if that doesn't make sense.

NB so you don't have to go through all that path again just make a shortcut to Home default on the desktop.

19/08/2008 updated fixed cam sites in Western Europe from TomTom. Any point in posting them here?

Yes, please. I presume these sites are meant to be used with WE-maps? Usually I'm only using these maps when travelling. On a daily base I'm using just the country map, so fixed cam sites for country maps are more important.

I took the Plunge today and bought a new TomTom Go 730 with TMC, got it from an indoor market in Bury. £150. lovley bit of kit.

Just place the cams for your country in your map and activate with the Easyusetools keygen. I.e. if you are in UK use the UK cams. (two files ,obvious when you view the unrared file)

I have a treo 750 that I have ttn_7.450.9028.cab and the 2 folders raster and voices installed to the root of the storage card. It says to start tomtom and look up your device id for tomtom but how can I do that when it goes to activation failed sorry this is not the correct activation cod for the product USA_and_Canada. and does not go to anything else but select a map: I don't understand where I get this device id from. am I missing something in the directions. Please help.

Re.activating Radars (Safety_Cams)
Simplest method:
1. Copy or place the map .pna and .meta files and ALL the safety cams you wish to activate in the, "insert_meta_from-Map_here" folder .
2. Click on, "RunMeforDCT" Command Script.
3. Follow the prompts. The keygen will make DCT files for the map and ALL the safety cams you placed in the "insert_meta_from-Map_here" folder.
4. Copy or drag ALL the DCT files and the .pna and .meta files into the map folder. Done.

If you look in root there is a file called Navigator.bif
Open it with Notepad or other text editor. your Device ID is there.
