1st problem resolved: put smartphone/PDA (htc touch in my case) in flight mode then install. i saw that the installation at the end put wifi on. why?

tomtom home is installed onto yolur memory card so when you pull your device into the pc you can install the pc version of tomtom home via the device :)

try using the dct file and if your lucky it might work depending on the maps ?

you can transfer music and video's to your tomtom device via the tomtom home software

or direct transfer via the usb cable and you will find folders on the storage device called

MP3 = Music Folder
PHOTO = Pictures / Images Folder
ART = Custom Cursor Folder
VIDEO = Video Folder

Thanks for all the responses. I've managed to download Western and Central Europe from the 'download.tomtom' link above.

Ive also managed to get it to show and to work following info found on another forum.

Ii's probably not etiquette to post alink to the crack but I can assure you that the many of the v7.10 and v 7.05 maps have been cracked.

v6 stuff with "mid" files all work fine, just not v7

BU did you have anything apart from the demo of the media prog ? It only plays video for 4 minutes.

As long as you have the newest firmware update, you can use the v7 maps. The firmware has to be version 7.something, you can tell if you have it because mapshare also becomes available at that version.

I downloaded the UK & ROI mapd from the link posted a few messages ago. It's small enough to fit on the existing card and it's reported as version 7.10p (or via the map reading program as 710.1561) the data for this isn't in the text file included in the text file though tricky & Bu, maybe it got overlooked or you just don't have it ? If not can you help with a link for the version that the text file does support by any chance ? :)

Ok, I generated a code having found the correct download to suit the meta.txt file. Removed the original map folder and replaced it with new one of same name. Now I get a no map found message even though the meta.dct file was put in the folder. :( Where did I go wrong ?

First i want to wrote a problem about missing only Western_Europe 710.1561 in the meta.txt files before.

BU, I found this thread and dl'ed the Maps from TT and the keygen file you provided. I took the meta file from the Map folder and placed it in the 'Meta_Files' folder. I ran the generate.bat, inputed my device code, copied the .meta and .meta.dct from the 'Meta_files" folder back into the Map folder. My TT 910 v.7.162 doesn't see the map. I ran the mapcheck tool you provided and got this

I can confirm this is a solution, had the same problem on my TomTom One V3, not enough space for 2maps.. The first keygen (in German) has the patcher, I copied the files to the root of the card and ran the Runme.bat. after a few clicks it went ok, and now it is working. Cheers guys this has made my xmas!!!

Same with me. I put the files in the root of my TT910, ran the 'RunMe.bat', and the Western_and_central_Europe Maps work! Now can someone provide an updated Meta.txt file that includes the North_America map that I posted earlier. I had the re-write mine so it can see it but looking at the build numbers its different.

I'm hoping for a bit more help. I downloaded the North America map from TrickyDave's link above and the BuMobiles keygen from http://www.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=470238&page=11

However, when I follow the instructions BU gives, I get this error:

"There is no such map in keyfile 'Meta.txt'

This text is in my meta.txt file

By "root" you mean the root of the TomTom storage? No. I was preparing the map in a folder on my computer's HDD, which should be the same as the HDD on my TomTom 910, shouldn't it?

Yes, all the contents of the keygen folder are in one root folder and I did copy the North_America-7.meta file to the Meta_Files folder.

If so, that is what I did. If not, can you clarify what I'm supposed to do to make the meta.txt file work for my North_America 7.10 map?

I planned to copy the map along with the newly generated meta file, to my TomTom after creating the meta file and copying it to the North_America map folder. It shouldn't matter what storage space I prepare it on. Hard drive space is hard drive space.

Hi your code for the Go510 is Q2TXG WLVAV BHJ8L ..... that's type in on your TomTom when you are not connected to TTHome. If TTHome claims it still needs activation when you connect, just select a manual activation and do it again via the keyboard. When you enter it in to activate, don't type the spaces, they are there just to make it easier to see :)

So you copied the dct file to the map folder, and copied that folder to the Tomtom.

Did you try the other patch?

Copy ttsystem.File from your Tomtom into the tt7-patch folder, and then execute the "run_me". Then copy the new ttsystem.file back to your Tomtom.
That worked for me.

Hi! I have no answer on question #1, but on the second question:
There is no dct in the map download. You have to generate one.
Read post #162 in this thread how to do it, and where to find the tool to generate it.

I have a go 920. I have downloaded the australian and new zealand maps and have them on an sd card inside the unit. when my unit boots up it sees
north america map in internal flash
western and central europ map in internal flash
australia map on sd card
newzeland on sd card

all the maps are working. the TTsystem files was replaced as in prior posts and the new dct files generated no problem

The Problem is that I get no sound runing the north america maps from internal flash while the sd card is inserted. If I remove the sd card I get the sound (map instructions)?

any ideas

please copy all content excluding the maps from your internal memory to your memory card, the reason for the sound not working via the memory card is due to the files are on the device and it can only read from one at a time

Thanks I got it to work by recopying everyting back to the sd card. I have 2 questions

1. how does the speed camera cab and the meta txt for them work. how do you activate the speed camera or install them. Is any of them for the USA
2. on your 1st page you have the tomtom 6 for window mobile. I assume this will work with window mobile 5 on a pocket pc. If not which one will. Also what maps do you use with the application. should the map and application be installed on the sd card

a dct file was generated without any problem. I put the map with dct file in my device (TT910). After I switched on my device, TT found the new map but when I tried to load it, the device was blocked !!! :mad:

When I replaced the map by 2GB-7 version with the generated dct file. TT loaded it without any problem :confused:. So I think that the meta entry(26 C6 D0 27 03 10 8B AE E0 57 99 A0 01 BD 88 34) works just for the map version North_America_2GB-7 and not for the complete one (North_America-7).

So I'm looking for a meta entry for a map version North_America-7 (710.1609).

PS.: My TT system is already patched and it works well with maps; North_America_2GB-7 and Western_and_Central_Europe-7.

i have a nz map but need to activate it. i have looked through all the postings but as yet have not found one. i can give you a copy of the nz map if you like? as they are just now released in nz. can you please give me clear instructions?

1. Copy your Meta File from your New Maps into the Meta_Files Folder (e.g. Western_Europe_1GB-7.meta)

5. Copy the Meta File into the Maps Folder
6. Copy the Maps Folder to the Device

now you need to patch the TomTom File System

So tell me if i got it right you guys , TOMTOM new sofware will support the internal GPS in N95, but its not relesed yeat ?

and there is a point gets the one confused here .. many PPL says softwares work , Manny says about the same software it dosent work , and it really gets me lost reading this and that in the same Thread , Couldnt you Manage it guys to post for example a none replay therard which explain all the options about a program , what OS it work for , and whats good and bad about it . now am lost between TOMTOM , GARMIN .... which of them fits with which OS :D you guys doing such great job !! Ty all .


1, TomTom 7 is only available for TomTom One and Go Devices it doesn't support Symbian, Windows Mobile, Palm and PDA yet!

speed camera database can be found but not on this forum, there was a little upset with PocketGPS.com and Maft due to there database of speed camera's

being posted so the best advice is:

pay PocketGPS.com
or
search the internet and you may find what your looking for :D

1, patch your tomtom file system
2, patch the meta file for the selected maps
3, copy the patched meta file to the new maps and install them to your device

what I am syaing. and obviously I am still missing something is that I have to do 2 patches, one to add the voice to text and the second to add the new map.

so to add the txt to voice I use the navcore 7.162 floating out there which adds mp3 and liquendo and replaces the ttsystem file.
then I put the new map, do the meta conversion on the map and then what original ttsystem file should I use to convert. (the one from the text to speach conversion?)

5/ Voices

I successfully installed Navigator 5.2 on Nokia 9300. But don't know how to arrange Voices, Maps and activate them. Could you please give step by step instructions how to do it ? Thanks.
The app Nav 5.2 is installed on the phone. But maps and voice files are still on PC side , and I don't know where to place them so that Nav 5.2 could see them.

i believe there is a program you can download to change the cursors on tomtom via your pc, providing that youve updated your tomtom device with new v7 firmware,
have updated my old tomtom one v2 with v7 firmware and used proggy called tomtom heaven to change the cursor via my comp, is easy to use, from what ive read on this forum cant give exact links but search on google for tomtom custom cursors should direct you to pocketgps where you can download the program from,
dont know for sure if works on all tomtom devices but it defo worked on tomtom one v2

to change custom cursors you need to put bmp files into the art\cars folder but only works on tomtom go 520/720 not the go 910

the software from 720 device can't be installed the 910 device

you can try and download a cursor editor from pocketgps.com and use there tool to edit the picture from the main system file

yes i did it once of a customers device but have never had another go510 to convert it too

i believe it's very simple just follow all info

copy the folders from the go510 to your pc
copy the selected modded files and folder from the go910 zip file to the same folder on the pc (remember to overwrite)
then copy all files back to device

yes just buy a new memory card and install tomtom 6.0 windows mobile onto it and download a set of v6 maps and install them to it
