Run your phone without a SIM card :)

Ever want to have your phone on and functional without a SIM card?

Well, here's how.

Things You need:

P2K Advanced Editer
(http://www.host-n-share.com/files/433/P2K-Ae.rar)
RAZR V3,V3i,L7 may be some of other P2K Phones

What You Do:
1. open P2K Advanced Editer and connect phone

2. click connect in P2k Mode

3. go to Phone Services> SEEM Functions> SEEM 4a. in the menu at the top.

4. now in the filter box write sim and click find

5. click read from phone

6. in the top there should be something called SIM_ENABLED_PHONE

7. click it and the Dec should be to 1. if it is change it to 0

8. click write to phone

9. remove sim and restart phone ( no sim should be in while phone turning on)

Now you can use the phone without a sim, play games, camera etc.

You don't need. Just connect the phone in normal mode.

I think I followed the instructions posted above, but the phone still says INSERT SIM.........the phone is a Motorola V180.............maybe the phone itself is not compatible with the procedure??

OK..........I have now completed the procedure......something I discovered that wasn't in the instructions....
When you find the Sim_Enabled_phone line.........you MUST change the 1 to a 0 by DOUBLECLICKING on the 1.......you will get a small up/down arrow to select a 0 with...you can not simply highlight the 1 and change it to a 0.....it will make the line move.
But now, my next question.......as silly as it is......now that I have a phone that doesn't need a SIM card, what do I do with it??????:confused:

You can do everything, except calling or network related feature.
