Looking for a number of Level 3 Mobile Phone Repair Technicians in the London & Manchester areas. The right applicants will have recent previous experience working to this level, and strong diagnostic skills.
Attributes and Abilities:
The L3 diagnosis technician will be able to cover all the duties of L1 Support and L2 Diagnosis technicians and in addition will have, or be able to;
Communicate and demonstrate good practice in ESD precautions to less senior staff or colleagues.
Communicate and demonstrate good ESD tool use, maintenance and calibration where appropriate.
Communicate and demonstrate good ESD component handling and identification capabilities.
Demonstrate good reading and comprehension of circuit diagrams and show practical ability in communicating information obtained thereby.
Excellent general knowledge of GSM network and protocols, particularly for the air-interface part.
Operate automatic and manual test equipment (GSM multi-mode test sets, DVM's, oscilloscopes, power supplies) and verify calibration or calibrate where appropriate.
High manual skills in solder / desolder, BGA experience an advantage
Be able to work on own initiative in all aspects of their work.
Be able to learn new phone product operation, layout, theory of operation and faults in short timescales, documenting information, and work with the NPI (New Product Introduction) Team where appropriate or possible in the introduction of new products to the main workshop area.
Be a mentor to less senior Diagnostic Technicians encouraging personal and technical development in all areas of their work.
Repair and/or maintain a wide range of support equipment such as label printing machines, printers, test jigs, RF cable tools, scope probes, power supply adaptors and torque screwdrivers etc. In short the range of equipment liable to need ongoing or 'in-service' maintenance.
Must elegible to work & live in the UK ideally.
