why BF phones are comming DEAD ?

A lot of guys are asking me for repairing of BF phones
I am telling them ALWAYS the same thing:

ALL BFx phones are checking flash checksums when are you trying to power ON them. When checksums are NOT OK, the phone will erase its eeprom area itself...

... so when you will INCORECTLY unlock or flash the phone, it will erase the eeprom itself and maybe that`s the reason, why you CANNOT read the phone again with FREE sw

I would like to say to ALL guys, who are crying about their DEAD phones, that there is NO WAY to repair such phone without CORRECT backup of flash and without REGISTERED sw, because i don`t know ANY FREE sw, which could connect to phone with erased eeprom. With my licenced sw, i could flash ANY phone (even if it has erased eeprom)

And last thing:
Try to calculate how much phones you will destroy with FREE sw and try to decide what is better:
1) **********. 3 phones = you will loose about 3*150$=450$
2) Buy 100% working sw = 450$ and you will NEVER **********. any phone ;):D

1. You must have backup of your BF phone (verfied, compared).
2.You must know what you do.....

.....and you no have a dead BF phone.

Backup save your phone.

Hello,

Before unlocking you will need backup your flash severall times then compare it ....and if it OK then you can try to "kill" your phone :-)))

For comparing fllash's i understand,but HOW TO VERIFY ???

I am not agree with din.I have no problems to erase all flash and then to connect end write backup.In the beginnig there was Angelo flasher,that read corect, but can't flash corect for me.But with BFX2 - no prob.

Hi,

i agree with making backup of full flash, but not with Omega. The other softwares reads correct. But take care wich soft you use to write the flash. The saled softwares don't have this problem but a lot of free softwares has it. Mine had it too so beware of BF Unlocker v1.08. Now is done. The problem is that there is a area of flash that cannot be erased with the normal command. For this reason when you write over a different flash than the one is backup you can kill the phone. Not permanently. Nothing is permanent. Other hint is to verify your cable not to have the pins 1,2,3 on GND.

Here is the hint for repair BF3 phone destroyed by angelo.and works only if you saved eeprom before unlocking
step 1:upload locked log
2:read full flash
3:open flash with hex editor
4:insert original eeprom from address 001A0000 to 001FFFFF
5:if necessary unlock with bf3 flash tool by mobitel and save
6:upload the bin and good luck
may these phones die cause flash CRC is hold in eeprom or i don't
know
Ps:note that you can simply use full flash readed from dead phone no need searching on the net
