I have a samsung that says insert sim card, can help resolve this.

does it have a sim card inside of it?
if yes...........this problem mainly happen when the sim card is not locked down properly on to the circuit board.....so what you need to do is one of two things
1. get a piece of paper and place it on top of the sim card then put the battery on it
2. use a knife and gently crap the sim card and the pins on the circuit board
