The only way to get this program working is to put a license key in the maps folder and there is teh big problem. The only place to find this key is a russian forum that has the keygen and they wont share it; They generated on demand but stopped now because of the huge demand. For the moment it is not possible to have a key :(

Both files do not exist in the map folder. No .pos files.

And just now I see the Olanda map. Downloading it and will see if this map works.

Nope, no .pos file in the Netherlands map. Seems the UK map is the only map working with that solution.

if a map doesnt have .pos file in it it will work as it is, if the map has .pos in it then delete .pos file and it will work. netherland map works as it is bcause it doesnt have .pos file in it. i think the uk map is the only map to have .pos file in it . i hope this helps

Cant get the map working. Im using n95 8gb.

I've tried to put the map folder called: Maps and then GBR folder within that folder on the root of the memory as well as within the sygic folder both didnt work.
Then I just tried the GBR folder on the root as well as the sygic folder again didnt work. No maps found.

What am I doing wrong? What should be the name of the folder and where should I exactly place it?

I signed program in Symbian Signed and placed it on empty memorycard.
Then I extracted there also zipped file 'memcardzip' and now there is folder MAP where I copied my map.
Program installed fine but couldn't find map. So I opened notepad and wrote [FIN] (in my case) and named it Fin.mlm and saved to same MAP-folder.

Now everything works except that there is no finish voice available.

When you save .mlm file in notepad use all files format not text.

OK heres what you do to allow your programme to use any map you so wish.
Example for UK map named GBR.

SIMPLY DO THIS - open notepad, then in notepad copy the following text >>>> [GBR] <<< MUST BE AS SHOWN WITH THE BRACKETS.

(If you want to activate any other maps then just add their 3 lettered name within the notepad - ie for the greece map named GRC add [GRC] etc underneath so it would look like this >>> [GBR]
[GRC]

Then save the notepad file as "allmaps" without the speech marks obviously.

THEN this is the important bit, you will see the notepad file on your desktop namely "allmaps" file.

You need to go into your windows settings and disable the option "Hide extensions for known file types."

To do this open any windows folder and click on "tools" then "Folder options."
Now click on "view" and look at the list and untick the box next to "Hide extensions for known file types."

Go back to your desktop and you will now see the notepad file "allmaps" shows the letters ".txt" next to it.
Simply right click on the file and then rename it to allmaps.mlm and save and accept / say yes when prompted to change file type.
Right you should now have a file named "allmaps.mlm."

Make sure you have a folder names "Maps" placed directly onto your phones memory card and not in any sub directory. Inside that folder you should have another folder containing your map files. 1 folder for each country within your initial "Maps" folder.
Simply copy the "allmaps.mlm" file you have made into the "Maps" folder on your memory card and not in the actual secondary folders containing your map files.
Now open your programme and you will see it will say allmaps activated.

Installed Sygic onto my N95 8GB, Firmware 15 took a life time to down load from Rapid Share, but, once down took 5 mins and all installed and working like a dream, I have not tested out on the road as yet but I have a great signal in 10 -15 sec in the back garden,

I thought I would share what I did and how it went so smooooothly ;)

1/ I created a Folder on my sd card and called it Sygic
2/ I then unzipped the Sygic.Mobile.v7.0.89.S60v3.SymbianOS91.Unsigned.Cr acked.Read.NFO-BiNPDA.zip
3/ then unzipped all of the bin***x.zip files, this leaves you with 6*.rar files (hope your all still with me) now I then extracted bin-5325.r00.zip this is the important one as it contains the Sygic******.sis that you need to sign.
4/ I signed this sis file and the copied all 6 rar files and the newly signed sis file to the Folder i mentioned in point (1) Sygic.
5/once they are copied over I then went onto the phone used file explorer found the Sygic***xx.sis file and clicked it to install.
6/ after install completed on my phone I then deleted the folder off of my SDcard as it was no longer needed.

7/in your directory on your pc where you unzipped all of the files that you copied to SDCARD there is a file called bin-5325.r00 if you extract this file you will then see another zip file called MEMORYCARD.zip you need to unzip this which will create two folders MAPS and SyGIC.

8/next I went to a DOS prompt and created the allmaps.mlm really easy (go to start run and type cmd in run box. when at DOS prompt type cd\ then type edit allmaps.mlm this opens an edit screen on the top line type [GBR] and the hit the alt key then the F key and then the exit to basically just to save this file.
after the file is saved it is now in c:\ of your pc, you go back into windows find the file and copy it to the MAPS directory that is on my PC.

9/Next step was to unpack maps into MAPS folder on PC, I used the 2 *.rar versions once unpacked they created the GBR directory in MAPS for me I then went into the GBR Directory and deleted the GBR.pos.

10/ Last step was just to copy these two folders MAPS and SYGIC to the root of my SD Card.

ran up the app and hey presto......

Hope this helps anybody that is struggling with any stage of the process.

these go into your icons folder which is in sygic folder on the root of the memory card, these are just picture files you also need the speed camera files upi files for them to work.

i suggest downloading the crack first if your not a rapidshare premium user otherwise you have to wait between downloads if you download the program first.

this uses the maps in the same way as as symbian version, so just put maps on memory card as per symbian instructions, for the program just copy folders "drive" & "2577" folders to root of memory card,
to crack just overwrite "drivecore.dll" in "drive" folder with one in crack file
then to run just go into your file explorer, sd card -- drive then click drive.exe to start.

at first it will say map not activated but just enter any code and will work.

am just in stages of testing version 7.6 of sygic for pda / windows mobile smartphone,

I have a "Invion" PNA (Origin: Shinco)
I copied all things from the CE verion on the root of a mem card, renamed teh Drive.exe into Alturion GPS.exe (the original start exe) and it works :D:D
The i made a dir called maps and inside i pushed a map and made a mlm file... now it asks for activation... i hope galaxy< can help me with this also :cool:

OK heres what you do to allow your programme to use any map you so wish.
Example for UK map named GBR.

SIMPLY DO THIS - open notepad, then in notepad copy the following text >>>> [GBR] <<< MUST BE AS SHOWN WITH THE BRACKETS.

(If you want to activate any other maps then just add their 3 lettered name within the notepad - ie for the greece map named GRC add [GRC] etc underneath so it would look like this >>> [GBR]
[GRC]

Then save the notepad file as "allmaps" without the speech marks obviously.

THEN this is the important bit, you will see the notepad file on your desktop namely "allmaps" file.

You need to go into your windows settings and disable the option "Hide extensions for known file types."

To do this open any windows folder and click on "tools" then "Folder options."
Now click on "view" and look at the list and untick the box next to "Hide extensions for known file types."

Go back to your desktop and you will now see the notepad file "allmaps" shows the letters ".txt" next to it.
Simply right click on the file and then rename it to allmaps.mlm and save and accept / say yes when prompted to change file type.
Right you should now have a file named "allmaps.mlm."

Make sure you have a folder names "Maps" placed directly onto your phones memory card and not in any sub directory. Inside that folder you should have another folder containing your map files. 1 folder for each country within your initial "Maps" folder.
Simply copy the "allmaps.mlm" file you have made into the "Maps" folder on your memory card and not in the actual secondary folders containing your map files.
Now open your programme and you will see it will say allmaps activated.
There you go, hope that helped. Any probs post on here.

I can confirm it's working perfectly, very precis navigation inded, atleast as precis as Garmin XT, witch i until now must say is the best satnav.

Only minus i have about Sygic is the lack of details in maps (where garmin is superior)

It's all a matter of personal preference.
I have route 66 v 7, route 66 v8, Sygic mobile, Garmin Xt all installed.
I generally always end up using route 66 v7 or v8 as the software seems to run very smoothly and the voice is clear.

I find Sygic a little strange as when it tells you to go onto a certain road - it will say the numbers individually ie - the A1001 = "A" "one" "thousand" "and" "one" which can be like a robot talking and a bit slow.
Sygic does however have a search facility a little like tomtom but slower. For example you type in the first 2 letters of the town, street etc and it brings up a list of available places unlike route 66 and garmin which require the full name before you can search.
The maps on sygic look similiar to tomtom but in my mind nothing compares to tomtom.

Garmin however has better search facilites for points of interest near to your location and even provides you with the telephone number of the place - ie fuel station. You can also use a poi loader with Garmin to put on additional speed camera files. GARMIN is quite heavy on resources on the phone and can be a bit slow at times.

just installed gps application on series 60 v3, activated using the keygen, placed the uk map (GBR) folder in the map folder, deleted .pos file inside UK map folder, created a .mlm file containing [GBR] inside file name allmaps, it loads up the allmaps, but when i click on the "browse the map" option it gives an error message "USER 47!" and the applications quits automatically and also when trying to search for addresses the application freezes. Hi there, i have question for author of post #38: I got sygic working on my N81 and am now trying to add maps. I'v followed your instructions but program keeps asking for a licensefile. (sygic finds the maps but I have to activate them) How can i get passed it?

Correction: I've used the keygen to activate the map and it works, but now sygic keeps saying "not enough memory" and shuts down.
I have a N81 with 2Gb microSD.
Any help?
