TO INSTALL MAPS:
You have to create a folder on your memory card named "MAPS"
Then copy the folder of the map (like "GBR", "ITA" etc.) into the "MAPS" folder.
It will be like this:

e:\MAPS\ITA (for example)

then create a file on notepad with the name of the map like this (example for ITA map):
"[ITA]"

then save as ITA.mlm and copy it to "MAPS" folder.
just this.
you have to create every *.mlm for each diferent map.

It didn't had the DUTCH voice pack but i downloaded MAPORAMA 2008 en there is a voice pack with different voices, including dutch, which i copied and pasted in my sygic voices map and it works perfectly.:)

Did you put the gps module on?? in settings-----gps hardware-----
My n95 8 gig did scan the first time and found the internal gps immediattely.
i didn't have to do anything.

For those who need a language pack other then the ones in Sygric, just download Maporama on this link and unpack, then copy -- paste the language pack you need in to your Sygic folder "voices" and it should work.

Yep. No problem with finding the GPS. Seems to be something else though. Can't get a fix in other tools either so it seems no Sygic related. Going outside now so I guess this problem will solve itself.

Hi programm installs and runs but the maps are incompatible for UK, I downloaded the 2 parter Sygic_2007.07_GBR.part1_719x etc but just says incompatible with this version ??? could any of those that have a functioning UK folder please upload this preferably not rapidshare but I'm not fussy LoL

go into maps and delete GBR.pos, that worked for me and others. im useing the 2 part map and it works brilliant(just delete GBR.pos in gbr map folder, GBR.pos is 1 file you should be left with 19 files). hope this helps

i solved that by putting everything on my memcard and installed it from the memcard, not from the PC. Then it should work great.

Tried it a bit this morning. Looks good, but voice instructions come with a lot of pauses. "After 200......... meters........... turn left to....... the....... A.......". Instructions are correct but the pauses are annoying. Happens both with the Dutch voice and the original English voices. Anyone else experiencing this? Happens also with no programs running in the background (Nokia N82)

Got mine working on the N95 8GB download UK map and files from this post, load everything on phone 8gb disk in the folder Sygic but the Maps must go in \Maps\GBR on the main disk not the Sygic folder !

Delete the file gbr.pos from the GB map folder, put the All_maps.mlm in the folder Maps not the GBR folder. Using Binpda cracked version you don't need the license.txt, it should then pick up the maps at start up.

Hope it helps !!

Voila, this is how i did it and the moment the program was launched it detected teh internal gps of my phone and everything went ok.

you should uninstall everything and then:

1º install sygic
2º copy the sygic folder to memory card
3º copy map folder
4º inside map folder put the folder with your maps (e:\maps\czech) + CREATE ANOTHER FOLDER AND RENAME IT WITH TO slovak (E:\MAPS\SLOVAK) and after that copy mlm file to the folder maps too (E\MAPS\ALL.MLM)
5º RUN PROGRAM

I have installed the c*****d version and maps four my country, and all works just fine, find internal gps (on my n95) load maps and find street names and all:p so far so good:D

But no matter how i make different settings in 'plannings' (or anywhere als for that sake) it always give me a detour when i calculates route's, with several kilometers ekstra, route is ok but no way the quikest/shortest route! :eek:

Does anyone have same probs or is there some of the settings that can make a difference ??

Off course not only me, but all users want the shortest route, when set or what?

But some strange is that when the route is calculated and i select 'recalculate route' it gives me the CORRECT and SHORTEST route, every time:o how wird is that?

Well, I feel this nav soft is still a bit beta. More and more little issues show. I have been sent several times in a one-way street from the wrong side. The shortest way by car through a pedestrian area. All POI's need different sound signals to make them beep and can not share the same sound file. Voice navigation with too long pauses between instructions. When viewing the 2D map you can not zoom in up to street level. More reports emerge on the Internet. It's nice it works with the internal GPS of the N95 and N82, but I dare not to rely upon it yet.

To find a nice interface AND correct navigation isent all that easy :confused:

The most precise guiding i have gotten is with Nokia maps (im sorry to say)
Because its quite 'simpel' in any ways!

Navigon 6.3 symbian i cant recommend to anyone, because its very unprecise in guiding and a way to simple gui and options

Garmin does a ok job and is better looking than Nokia maps!
Nav wise its very accurate.
But surely dosent have the configuration options that sygic has :(

And Route 66 is the worst of all

Thanks for sharing that info. I worked with TomTom these past years and am very happy with it. But needs an external GPS. Besides Nokia Maps I haven't tried any others yet. Own a N82 since 2 weeks, my first device with internal GPS. Route 66 brings out version 8 one of these weeks, so maybe it improved. For now I stick with TomTom and my external GPS. I need accurate guidance. Spend a lot of time in the car and TT's traffic info is also a plus. I keep Sygic next to TT for when I'm walking around in a strange town and need to find my way.

dont know how it works on N95, ´cause i have N80....
first of all, program doesnt start in the vertical display mode...
that means i have to rotate it to horizontal every time before i want to use...
second... i have been sent to walk zone, whats not too good...
and third.... recalculating route... after that program navigates me to drive right... i did it left.... than program freezes for about 30 seconds... so it did not even show my right position for sooooo long.....
i did it all in my own area, which i know very well, and i cant even imagine what to do when that happens to me in strange town...
thats just my opinion....

My tests shows way of calculating (much longer than nessesery) in Sygic :confused:

But a very presice calculating in Garmin :D

I made all tests in my home area, which i now very well off course :p

Note that i use the new Garmin 2008 maps (newest avalible)
Think they are slightly more precise than the 2007 maps?

Only soft that never miscalculated when driving is Nokia maps, and Garmin with 2008 maps!

I have this problem with the program.. It takes about 30-40 min to get sat signal.. Could it be, because i dont have the newest firmware on the phone.... The firmware i have on my N95 is a little old...

Anyone where it works perfect with the newest firmware (Find satelites fast)

what you are doing wrong is you not reading instructions properly. sis file doesnt go in sygic folder, i put it in folder called other then on the phone file manager and open other file and install. the other files(open the zip file and you get 2 files sygic and maps)they go on root of card. you must unzip all files(bin5325.zip files from A-E)

Have loaded the software properly, have the sygic folder and maps folder and all.maps.mlm within that folder.Everything is up and running with internal GPS on n95 however only problem is that i CAN'T TYPE ADDESSES IN THE PHONE IT WILL ONLY ALLOW ME TO TYPE NUMBERS,

Hi. :-) thanx for sharing.
do i have to sign the sis first?

i have transfred the the files (MAPS and SYGNIC) to the root of my memory card and then i installed the sis-file. the software seems to work. But do i have to sign it? i am overqquestioned. :-(
i have uploaded the german MAP including the small text file to the MAPS File. When i start the software it tells me to activate the map. did i miss something?

would really appreciate if you could tell me what did i do wrong. :-)
