Hi crew, his thread mainly applies to the 'trade' repairers who regularly use ultrasonic cleaners. I use a proffesional u/s cleaner,and high quality chemicals, but find my failure rate of ingressed handsets has increased suddenly over the last few months from 90% success rate, to approx 50%. I notice it mainly with BB5, and if I ever need to U/s a board twice, the board is dead , every time.Are these lead free solders affected by ultra's, and is there a better chemical or any hints on cleaning lead free pcb's??
