I have been looking around to get my Acatel 303 to be unlocked from Virgin and found a local mobile place which would do it for £10.
Its been with them over a week now and i have been getting annoyed about the way they have been handling it  They couldnt find a cable for the handset and had to make up one then they needed to upgrade the software for that model :(
After constantly visiting the shop to find out what been happening to my handset, they finally informed me that tried to unlocked the handset but it would no longer switch on
I was pissed off! I asked what caused the problem to happen and they said it seemed that my battery wasnt fully charged while the software was being flashed/upgraded/unlocked so must have died during the process  which killed the phone!
I'm sure my battery should have been charged but my phone wasnt used so could the battery ran down while it was off?

I'm really fuming about my phone and now asking them what are they gonna do about my handset? :( In the mean while they have given me a old bricky Ericsson A1018s to use and told me to leave it with them for yet another week to see if they can re-flash my Acatel in order to bring it back to life, if not then they will try to get the same model (proberly gonna be second hand) or if thats not possible then give me credit to but a new handset from the shop.
I know alittle about flashing that you need to backup the phones memory/software before flashing a new one, but if they have done it and flashed the phone again with its orginal software would it work again? If they didnt is they phone dead for good?
Could the battery failer have not compeleted the flashing/upgrading/unlocking causing the phone to die or is it they used the wrong or non-compatable software on the phone - killing it?
Could they use software from another Acatel - same model and re-flash it?
Please let me know any suggestions/ideas.
Thanks.
