Before activate 15 trial days from internet, set the following files as READ ONLY.

c:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\res\navkeys.dat
e:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\hk.flg
e:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\imei.dat
e:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\inbox.dat
e:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\phone.dat
e:\system\apps\route66_v8\data\maps\italy.map ( in this case)

Seems that with this trick the map will continue to operate even after the 15 day trial

Yes, I can confirm this work. My trail is over but my map is still unlock and usable.

Notice. You must do this before your 15 days trail is up. Once the trail is up DO NOT switch map or try to synchronized key.

thanks but I tried this and now I cannot activate the benelux maps at all. I have made the attributes for allthe files mentioend to what they were before but get the error "permanent Error: user already tried this service for free!"

I cannot get the maps to register now ... what do i do !

uses xplore or other file manager to set attributes the navkeys.dat

You have to do this before your trail period expire, if your trail is already expire it's too late and nothing you can do.

navkeys.dat is specific to your IMEI# so another person's navkeys.dat will not work for you.

you must activate 15 trial days from internet (with ur item) and THAN you will found the navkeys.dat in C:\...
the best way to found the file is use y-browser. i had the same problem.

i can not find navkeys.dat, i have navigator.dat but not navkeys.dat . c drive is my hard drive is this were it will be. many thanks

Use for example Y-browser on your phone and you'll find the navkeys.dat.

i can not install y-browser, it says expired certificate. i have nokia navigator(6110) i have installed v8 ,i have downloaded uk 15 day trial but i cant find navkeys.dat anywhere. any help please.
