I want to transfer data from pc to phone and vice versa using MPM software that came with the cable but it gives error
no mobile phone connected
I have also tried other software such as Simoco VisSie and Universal mobile manager but no luck. The phone is not recognized . All it says is
connect your mobile phone After connecting the phone still the same error.
While I was installing MPM software I could see something like usb to serial bridge. I am connecting one end to usb slot and the other fits in mobile phone. I am sure someone might have gone through this .So please help this newbie to overcome this problem.

...before connect your phone with DCA510 cable you need to install driver for this cable (depending for which chipset you have inside in the cable). After, you need to set in MPM (or other phone manager) COM to port 3 (or 4) - see in Control Panel ...

I downloaded and installed the driver.
Device manager shows
siemens usb data cable (com 4)
When I restart MPM it still shows no mobile phone connected. The phone explorer under MPM shows no phone connected ....please connect your phone. What would be the next step?

...Siemens software MPM have manny versions (for the common phone types). Maybe your version not is for your phone, I don't know...
Try to use other phone manager (Mobile Master;Mobtime Cell Phone Manager; MobilEdit!) and post results.
