I don't know why Toshiba Europe's Bluetooth Information Center is outdated. The current version on the page http://aps.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/ is still 5.10.12
The new 6.10.02 version can be found on Toshiba America's page, download section. A direct link is http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/su/su_sc_dtlViewDL.jsp?soid=2021764
It seems to support Bluetooth 2.1 version, but I don't have such dongle to test. Regarding the trial patch... the current patch for versions 4 and 5 does not work, however I found what the patch is doing and I manually modified the jump :) The file is attached in a split archive.

The european site has been updated as well. Here are the new features :

Yes, it does!
This version work with both Dell BT 350 and BT 360 beautifully.
