View Full Version : Old phones FW4,0J - 4,0U repairing
Does anybody know how to repair phones which shows only world map when switching on? Phones without external eeprom chip?
Can them be re-flashed? When can i find flash files for them?
Can Telech flash them in such condition?
Yes it can help to some phones but not to all.

And what do you think about that phone:
It was Simlocked with/without card.
I repaired the checksums with sagDr,
> Sim not present with/without card.
I cannot restore original IMEI,
when i change IMEI with sagDr, checksums... OK, but
*#06# > the last digit changed
from 0 to 2. Tried change to original again, than enter manually
field 0 to valid, correct checksums > nothing.
Finally i've tried change the lenght of field 0 to 0 (empty)!!!
And phone died. Cannot turn on, just light, displays world map, and continously restart. I think the phone dead.

If you have restarts after power ON, try to solder flash or even processor with hot air!

I have been killing my phone with SagemDoctor by setting the lenght of field 0 to 0 <empty> (it was a very stupid idea).
Battery charging and Bootstrap mode cannot activate too, because the "mcu" doesn't run, only the world map displayed again and again. I must restore field 0, but there's no external eeprom. I think the only way is to remove the flash chip by hot air, program with a flash programmer, and resolder it. But its too difficult, and i havent falsh programmer. Anyway i bought the phone for only 20$. So i will sale the lcd, speaker, case, keyboard...
NEVER TRY TO SET THE LENGHT OF FIELD 0 OR ANY OTHER IMPORTENT FIELD TO 0 <EMPTY> WITH SAGEMDOCTOR,
BECAUSE IT CAN BE REPAIR ONLY BY PONYPROG, IF EXTERNAL EEPROM EXISTS!!!!!!!
