ZTE A139 Back Engineering - Ingenieria Inversa sobre ZTE A139

Hello everybody, please excuse my English. Im newie on this forum but i wanna contribute with ome usefull information, i recently bought and cheap ZTE A139 from movistar, and before very large search i found some codes to works on it, this post is centred on engineering mode: *#3646633#

Then the first thing i searched on this awesome menu (lol) is to enable the COM transmission for flashing or do something interesting whit the phone.

In the options: Device - Set UART exist 2 options:

UART SETTING and UART POWER ON/OFF

first: is used to manage the port setting, you can select for TST configuration and PS configuration any option from UART 1 , UART 2, UART 3 and USB

the second thing is for porwer on/off UARTS


there is a dude... what is TST means for? and what is PS means for?

Can anyone help me there? i dont kno more about it. I wanna download the original firmware to analizate it. I ise linux but have acces to a windows pc too. Thank u!.

Hola a todos, me compre un ZTE A139 de esos baratos y pues de inmediato me entro la curiosidad y tratando de averiguar como hacerle ingenieria invers ay modificar sus funciones me tope con el codigo *#3646633# que me permite acceder al menu de ingenieros. En este menu lo primero que busque fue como activar el modo COM para establecer comunicaciones seriales con el dispositivo ya que deseo bajar el firmware para analizarle, y logre ubicar dicho menu en la opcion Dispositivo - Definir UART

Aqui adentro tenemos 2 opciones en el menu, UART Settings que te permitira seleccionar la redireccion de los puertos o la data, teniendo para modificar las opciones de TST y PS (no se que significan exactamente) la velocidad (baudiage XD) y por supuesto seleccionar entre UART 1, UART 2, UART 3 y USB para cada una.

La segunda opcion en UART power on/off permite habilitar y deshabilitar la comunicacion UART.

Espero que les sea de ayuda y que a la vez aporten algo para seguir aprendiendo ya que en este punto em tranque y realmente deseo obtener el firmware para modificar cosas como el tema, etc.

News: I tried using a software called FlashTool, inserting the mobile phone in off status it said: Problem identifyng processor error 2002 and if the phone is on its said something like : Bus cant be open.

new: i already tested the phone modem using the configuration: TST Uart 1 and PS USB port

Really easy!. But i cant download the firmware from the phone yet. any help?
