Very Bad news about DCT4 phones

Hi guys,

Do you remember the good old image and PPM files in which you can see everything that's comming on the phone's screen ?

Sorry but that's history. The MCU and PPM files in the new phones (like 8310) are encrypted !

There is a header for decompress in each file ( mcu or PPM pack) or the second loader decompress the files before write them to the Flash memory...<br />( maybe ?!? )

So it's getting rough again ( a memories are comming back to my head ). Will live, will see <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

Other thing is that there's no more Cobba !

The Cobba and Ccont are one chip now, called - UEM. The 12 bit parallel data bus between MAD2 and Cobba used for retrieve the contents of Cobba IMEI Register is gone as well !

They insert two serial buses - between the new MAD chip and the UEM chip.

The question again how is the indentity protected:

- by OTP area in Flash <br />- IMEI Register in UEM chip<br />- ROM in MAD chip<br />or

- 10.7 MHz ceramic filter in the FM Radio (that's a joke <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> )

hi<br />the answer to your first is yes but he is not sure what u mean about the other 2 be more plain!any way he asured me that he is going to give me partial for 8310 which only work with wintesla so if he is wright as soon as i get the partial for 8310 and 3330 ver 4.30 i will post it here but please do not spread this untill i am in possetion of these files so lets wait!
