LG kg290 - Unlock Code

Bought a pre paid telephone thinking I could put any sim [post or pre-paid] in to it - NOT SOOOOOOOOOO LUCKY.

I can get the unlock code but the secret message is not coming up and I do not have the NCK Code.

I do not have the original sim that came with it but, registered it to its first pre paid sim 2 months ago.

Can anyone help as want to take the phone overseas.
