I have seen this problem in many sets. Tried different Baud Rates but still same. Will it cause damage if we try formatting :confused:
Is the read firmware file could be used to flash :confused:
In Sigmatel S1, S2, S3 and S4, after formatting, phone says 'Error' instead of 'Insert Sim' and in NKTEL XpressMusic 5310, after formatting phone says 'Bad Software'. Is there solution available for these problem?
It is causing a lots of problem.
Please check it out soon.

But my porblem is not that. First, you have posted only a few (4 or 5) flash files, second, I want to know why unknown version is displayed and a flash file read with unknown version will work or not.

version detection has nothing to do with flashing,, so u can try flashing even or formating even if ET-BoX detects the version automaticallly or not.

Tried with a phone and it works OK.
But what do you say about "Bad Software" and "Error" instead of "Insert Sim" in many sets after formatting with ET-BOX?

FIRSTLY BRO BAD SOFTWARE AND ERROR INSTEAD OF INSERT SIM IS NOT ONLT THE PROBLEN OF ET-BOX IF U FORMAT IT WIH OTHER BOXES ALSO THEY WILL ACT LIKE THAT AS ITS THE PROBLEM OF FILE VERSION. AND U R NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO IS FACING IT. WE ALLARE FACING THIS PROBLEM

In my opinion, these phones have either different formatting addresses or they have some system data (software's part) in formatting area.
When we format phone, It goes wiped and phone show the "BAD SOFTWARE" error.
Is it possible?

I never said that this problem is only with ET-Box, but I want my box to be the ONLY to solve these problems.
