Phone Not Respond After Loading Boot

Apply some liquid paste and heat on CPU. Be carefull not to apply too much heat!

I often found that there are two types of Audio (Ringer) ICs used in Chinese Phones (atleast MTKs):

>> Glass IC (BGA)
>> 8-Leg Dual In Line IC

Glass IC could be replace by Ringer IC in Nokia 2600. As you know Nokia uses three types of Ringer ICs. One for 2600, another for 1600, 1110 and another one for 3100, 3120 etc.

8-Leg Ringer IC could be replace by Chinese phones only.

In MTK based phones, MIC input and Audio output is from CPU.

If you find that track is OK till very first component in route, try to apply some heat on CPU as it comes from there.

If you find that phone is showing Headset Mode even if no headset is connected, following these steps:

> Check Charging connector for damage, dust or carbon (unless phone has separate Headset connector). Wash it thoroughly with thinner and brush.

> If it does not help, check HEAD_INT pin connection. In S2, S3, NKTEL 5310 etc. phones the first pin (Component Side + Right Side) is HEAD_INT. If it gets shorted with GND, it will make phone to sense Headset. Try to remove short.

> If you have checked every component in HEAD_INT signal route and found that every component is OK but short is still there, then problem lies in CPU bcoz HEAD_INT comes directly form CPU. Nothing to do (Unless you can reball CPU but I did not found BGA plate to make one :( ).

Sigmatel and some other phones sometime show 'Camera Module Not Ready'.

Try this solution:

> Press *###
> It will open Engineering Menu.
> Select <select type sensor>.
> Now Select Second Option (Gwakei).
> Press OK

Now test if camera works.

If still not working, check camera connector, clean it and fit properly.

Try the following solution if you encounter Headset Symbol even if not headset is connected.

First of all try to check out Charging Connector because it may also cause this kind of problem.

Actually if in any case HS_DET singal of CPU gets shorted with ground, phone will assume that Headset is connected.
