How to:

SSH to: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileInstallation.framework/
Rename the MobileInstallation to MobileInstallation.bak
Always good to have things backed up, just incase http://img4.warez-bb.org/images/smiles/icon_wink.gif
Now copy the patched file over with 0755 as permission

Done backup of MobileInstallation
Copied and set permission of MobileInstallation

Tried iBeer and 300 Bowl iTunes accepted and installed on unit but no luck in making it run...

Error is can't run this application...

The cracked apps are working fine for me, but now the free apps from appstore are not working. They start to load up for about 2 seconds then just go back to the springboard. I am on 2.01, and if you have any ideas on how to fix this let me know. Thanks, Jared

I think you've missed something in process when you're trying to make your phone able to add those cracked app (cuz i did, hehe).

It happened to me, too. Maybe all those error messages above, I guess I got them all, lol. So, now after my three days of continuous restoring my Touch, here's the best way to add your cracked app to your phone or Touch.....

First, restore you phone again! (Yes, you need to.)

Second, follow this "How to" ;

** Btw, this "How to" missed something**

After step 9, you need to move "mobileinstallation.bak" (that had been created) onto your desktop or somewhere else. Then delete "mobileinstallation.bak" in your winscp.

Then follow step 10 and 11.

After that, * you need to delete all applications that you have in your iphone *, sync it again. Then you can continue step 12 and enjoy!

Only tried the DeadlySpace game, for it to work, not only have ya gotta set the permisions for app folder to 0775, but everything inside it aswell, well i did for my iphone 2.0.1 and it loaded fine, I dont get any sound on the game tho, not sure if its meant to be like that or not.

all ipa here are working with my iphone, i used (DISKAID 1.5 for WINDOWS) to install all ipa in my iphone. and bossprefs to set the permissions to 755, it so easy to install you can drag in drop the file to your iphone,:):)

sorry, but it doesn't work!
i probably do something wrong, i went carefully through the instructions.
i got an api file, it's not a folder.
i've set the permissions,... but when i try to open the app, i get an error: cannot be opened.

i've tried to install by double-click on the app, and installing through itunes. the installation seem ok, but it's still the same.
reboot won't help either.

can someone please tell me how to install those api cracked files.

well, than install something else which is from apple.

To my knowledge there is no OFFICIAL NON-JAILBROKEN video recorder available... I could be wrong. There is not one available in the Canadian App Store to my knowledge...

Dont send the .ipa to phone using ssh, just double click the ipa file and it will open in itunes, then sync to phone

yes its right, but its easy to install bossprfes in cydia. after download bossprefs open it. and press right upper box, then you will see the (fix user dir permissions) press it to set to 755. this is i used to my iphone 2.0.2, and now all ipa i download here is working fine.

İf you Have a "The application"...." cannot be opened". this error you MUST a install a few free games and play afew minutes for examp "aurora feints game" ;

Because you need alot of files and free games requires thid files instead of you to make manuel..

Try rebooting your phone.. see if works...

Nothing helps, i've tried to reboot, to change the privileges,... nothing.

I just can't make cubicman work, it's a real pitty.

BTW, when i unzip the ipa file, it turns into a folder, so i can't manage to install it with itunes.
Is there a way for turning it back to a real ipa file and install with itunes?

it's all the same, when i unzip the ipa files, they aren't real ipa files but folder, so you can't install them via itunes, but you have to ssh them to the iphone.

The problem is that for cubicman it doesn't work, it crashes.
i've tried to reboot, to set the privileges, nothing helps.

When I reboot the phone, it just sits there with the pineapple logo (phone tries to sync with itunes also), I can ssh and move my backed up MobileInstallation file back and the desktop pops up a few seconds later.

I did try to install another free app, and then replace the file again with same results.

Anyone else get this working on a 3g phone with 2.1 firmware?

after patch framework mobileinstallation
download IPA APPLICATIONS (some times rename rar or zip to .IPA)
try to click and drop IPA APPLICATIONS on itunes
then click synchronise applications !!! :D:D:D

HI,
I GOT MY NEW IPHONE JUST FEW DAYS BACK AND IT WAS ALREADY 2.0.2 VERSION N while trying to unlock the phone using pwnage tools the NPEBEA SCREEN CAME UP, a man with arms stretched is stuck on the screen and keeps comin back on by itself even if i turn off the iphone. however the phone can go to DFU mode and also i have tried to unlock using all the softwares (quickpwn, iliberty1.2, iliberty1.5,ziphone2.6, ziphone3.0, winpwn2.5 beta) and that didnt help either. it hapenned wen i tried to unlock using quickpwn. i have also tried to restore it using itunes and there's an error which says The iPhone"iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred(6). and also i have tried to restore by holding down the shift and click on restore on itunes and it gives that error. guys pliz help me. i am a dead man. dunno where to go:confused: it is not letting the fone 2 boot ..therefore i can't try other methods 2 solve it ..does any1 have this problem b4 as i have seen that in google lots of guys have this problem but no proper solution is given..its the old iphoneversion which is not 3G .As i am new to iphone i need step by step instruction to solve it

the solutions is hide the applications in your springboard then use dock 2.0 from cydia,

or install "categories" from cydia, with it, you can make folder on your springboard ;)
