View Full Version : Pinfinder Adaptor have powering problem ..

HI,

Thanks for this great tool.
My pinfinder have some problem which it cannot power on some china mobile even i silent start up tone. I already check the pinfinder power output which 4,3v-4,6v to the power clip.

This problem make me cannot detect some CECT model which i must use manually to find the pinout at the connector..

I did try the mobile phone which can power on with normal power supply at 4,0v

Is there any solution??

try this, put 470/10v capacitor in + to - pin.i am success this fault.

you can try it without disassembling pinfinder and soldering:
just attach capacitor to free pair of crocodiles and check if phone now can be powered from box power or at least blink.
if it can be powered- proceed to pinout search

Guyz,

Does improved only and far from stable.
Still not enough power up to start up the screen.
But already improved some auto pinout detection ..3/10

Infinity Team,

Is there anyway we can improved the voltage current(A/mA) like using external source or any modification to the pinfinder..
I'm willing to help out to test as my infinity pinfinder already finish it warranty ...

After removing the diode, the voltage reach around 5,3v-5,6v already. Will this step kill the phone???

Really thanks for your effort..I didn't mean to hurt your feeling due to my english are not very good..

Almost all phone can reach until 5v, but after 5v the phone power management ic will starting to heat up and china mobile so much quality inside...so just worried only...

Your guide has help a lot of user at this forum..
Anyway I'm making some MOD to my Infinity Pinfinder using external power..
I will post result ASAP..

thanks mate.you just answered my question.coz i thought it only works with 5 volts.now i wanna make sure bro so as not to damage any phone and my pinfinder box.so once and for all capacitor 470 micro farade with 10volts can be used as modding for pinfinder box right?we add this capacitor inside our pinfinder box?

The powering problem solved after removing the diode and and doesn't effect anything ..

Just a suggestion..
Is there anyway to increase the delay of powering rather increasing the activation try..
This will improved the pinout detection and detection speed as now a lot of china mobile have slow startup ..

Example
Some China N77 need to increase until 20 activation try to find the pinout and the process are super slow ...
