Hi!

Emmi (also referred as full emmi box) is a clone of original device used in motorola services. It has a COM connection to the pc and incorporates a motorola CPU, some memory (it's size determines which phones can it flash, as flash data first sent from PC to the box, and then from the box to the phone). AFAIK there are boxes with different firmwares and they have SW with not so user friendly interface, but this one is best for mass unlocking of phones of same type, as flash goes from PC to box once and then transferred to many phones one by one at high speed.

RoEmmi is a very simplified device compared to full emmi, which has no CPU and memory. It has one specific motorola IC called BIC, which carries out the communication to the phone on DCS bus, and some other components. It uses LPT interface to the PC.
There are two versions : 1.0 and 2.0 -- difference is AFAIK in eeprom contents and LPT pinout.

RoEmmi1.0 is an old device and can be used with it's own SW.
RoEmmi2.0 is an interesting thing. It can be used with a lot of older unlocking SW. It is also supported by PEMASTER for unlocking, flashing and READING FLASH OUT OF PHONE -- this is what even FullEmmi can't do! The point is that service centers never need this operation, so it isn't supported by any original SW for service centers.
RoEmmi2.0 can also be used with EMMIDROID with appropriate adapter (schematics was posted here in forum), MotoWin with motokey dongle and TAU with TAU adapter.

MotoFix is a TAU and a RoEmmi2.0 built together.

As your HW has no connection to PC at all, it is a simple unlocking clip. AFAIK it should have a BIC inside just like RoEmmi and some CPU (maybe PIC) with SW to carry out unlocking process.
