I have a TTOne v3 and opened TTHome today and updated it. After the restart, it disabled my US & Canada map, but left my DE_AT_and_CH_plus_major... and FR_plus... maps in tact.

The US & Canada were version 7 something (-7.meta). The euro ones were version 6 something. The map files and folders are still on the device, I just can't switch to them.

I've ran the Map Patcher application and it says I have an unsupported firmware version, the patch firmware button doesn't show up.

The "installed application version" is 9180.

Any pointers on what I can do?

Thanks

one of two things you can do

downgrade to a lower firmware 7.161 (not 7.900)
or download and install a patched version of the firmware 7.900

It does NOT appear that Greece is included on any multi-country maps.

What model TomTom do you have?

I have a TT one, TT's website lists a Greece map V8.15 for sale but it also says consider Map of Western & Central Europe 2GB v8.15, Map of Western Europe v8.15, Map of Central & Eastern Europe v8.15 so I presumed these might also carry the Greece map.

As a result of the download, you now have a true unpatched APP. If your US & CAN map is patched, it will not run on an unpatched APP. You will need a patched ttsystem file. What APP are you running after the TT HOME update?

A new version of TT HOME just came out. It is Version 2.5.0.29. "Operate My TomTom" has been moved to the SECOND page.

OK, I see the Greek map. I stand behind my previous statement about Greece NOT on any multi-country maps.

Have you got a Europe 8.15 map installed? If so navigate a route to SPARTA to see if it works?

Sorry, I only have NA 8.15. If you look at "Show Detailed Map Information" for a map on TomTom.com, the dark green are detailed countries, & the light green countries that have major road network coverage. IE, Greece is light green on Central & Eastern Europe, as well as Western & Central Europe.

As the forum is slow right now and searching takes an age I will post this link to the v8.30 firmware again. It is a DLC file. You need Cryptload to open it.

3 downloads so far. Hint NOT taken. Surprise, surprise! :D

The post re. Navs 7900+7910+8.203+8.204 has been downloaded a total of 145 times. Thanks = 6.
I'm getting past bothering now. I can't post attachments so I can put the password in a text file but I don't believe that there were only 6 members amongst that 145 people who downloaded these links in any case. Ho hum.

I take pleasure in helping people and don't expect any thanx in return. I had rather see someone, that has been helped, say thanx by helping the next person. That makes for a much better world.

Except it's not an ideal world and the Gimmes take and take. They don't share. How often have you seen requests for a keygen or a meta file? That means they have a map. No mention of sharing that map!
If someone says, "I need a link to new UK map" which is/was a typical gimme post for here and you provide it with no response from them except. "How do I crack it?" and despite their manner you type out a long easy to follow instructive post and still they don't respond, they have reduced you to the level of a servant.
I am not prepared to take a subservient role. One hundred and thirty nine people have seen fit to take without comment (and that is just from one of the many posts I have made) This is the experience of all of the people who provide the majority of links in this forum.
You can tell by looking at the posting history of the gimmes. Lots and lots of requests for info, links etc. with no follow up post after they get the info, link etc.
It gives you pleasure feeding them. I don't share your view.

Hello, can anyone help me with these queries, also i wanted to know are there Maps for Dubai that are available, Thanks.

Mo

Hello Everyone, I have got a TomTom 520 and I have managed to install with the help of BuMobiles Firmware V8.010 and UK & Ireland Map V8.10, When i dock my 520 now i get an option to upgrade it to FW V8.300 which i have been told not to do because not patched. What i need is Help with Safety Camera's, A Computer Voice as all i have now is Kate she is only the voice that can't do Text To Speech. Also i have downloaded UK & Ireland map version 8.15 so i wanted to ask shall i download this on an external sd card and run it on FW V8.010 (The one i already have on my TT now) Or shall i just stick with what i have now or is there a patched Version of FW 8.300 so then after i install that then i can put the new map on. Any advice would be great.

Thanks,

Mo

Thanks to the efforts of rytenuff and johnnyboy I have a happily functioning Tomtom One patched with 8.204 and running an 8.15 2003 map.

What benefit (if any) would 8.30 ttsystem give me and indeed does it work ok, including TTS, lane guidance etc, on a TomTom One.

p.s. I always say thankyou as I enjoy the efforts people put in

And do you know where to find a ttsystem patched file for it or how to patch? Thank you to everyone helping me. Thanks.

Invalid Drive Fix
---------------

Run this Reg file to reset the current configuration of the TomTom Map Patcher

need to rename from TomTom Map Patcher.reg.txt to TomTom Map Patcher.reg

Did this and it got the program started. But when I try starting it again I get "runtime error 5 invalid procedure call or argument", I think this is to do with visual basic as some posts say (i have vista hp), but no-one seems to agree about whether installing it solves the problem. Has anyone got it to work? The microsoft page warns about installing it & suggests contacting the person who made the software, so I'm reluctant.
Would love this program to work as I've never got easyuse tools to get my maps to work despite months of trying on my htc touch diamond ....

I had this same problem. MY solution: Connect device to puter & turn it on. Then rerun TomTom Map Patcher.reg. TomTom Map Patcher.exe should now function. In future, ALWAYS have device connected and turned on, before opening TomTom Map Patcher.exe.

Thanks to all the expert postings and s/w on here I have now sucessfully installed v8.30 and UK & ROI v815 on my 12 month old TT720 via SD card booting. This seems to be a much more difficult task than I had when upgrading and re-mapping my TTN6 devices a couple of years ago. Anyway, after much sifting through the forum I found all the instructions and files required. I just need the WEurope map now, or just France as that's where I live. My 'net connection here is dire, so I have to go up the road and poach a wifi connection at 5 times the speed to do my downloads, which can be a problem with the links dieing so quickly these days.
Anyway, I have hit the thanks button on all the really useful posts, a new feature I think, as I don't remember that being there when I first came on here.
Once again thanks to all the experts for sharing their time and knowledge with the great confused masses, and ya boo sucks to TT for wanting nearly as much for a new map as a new machine.
Just one question, do X20 devices support lane assist or is that a feature only available on x30s?

Hi all, firstly im a newbie, this is my first post.
I found this site because I was having problems getting the new map to work on my tomtom go720.
I have 2 maps installed on it now, the working one (TomTomGO Map Western and Central Europe v720.1803 ) and the non working one (United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_v815.2024) .
When I select the non working one, I get the red screen (problem with map: you cannot use this map on this device) :-(

So I have just downloaded the patched 8.30 firmware from post #541 (thanks to tendriver), firmware works fine but still get the same error. So I thought I may need to run the tomtom clear flash tool from their site. I ran that and had to generate an activation code for the TomTomGO Map Western and Central Europe v720.1803 map, that now works again, but the United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_v815.2024 map comes up with the same error.
I have tried downgrading to the patched 8.10 firmware from this thread, and get exactly the same error. (It doesnt say it needs activating, just "problem with map: you cannot use this map on this device).

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

My device info
App 8.300 (9732/040301) os:1000
GPS v1.20, Boot 1.0012

Ive just noticed there is no .midi file for the non working map, could that be a problem ?

Ok, I had exactlty the same situation yesterday.
1st you need the keygen s/w
2nd you need the metafile data from post 534
3rd you need the file file SE_ttsystem.83009732\ttsystem from the 8300 .rar download. Copy that over the ttsystem file on your sdcard.
then
copy the .pna and .meta files in to the keygen meta folder
make sure the meta data line is in the file meta.txt
make sure the device id is in the id file
run the keygen
copy the meta file produced in to the map folder.
put map folder onto sd card.

It is a .2003 type map so should have lane guidance. This depends on your Navcore and map, not model type. i.e. it is available on a ONE.

I've not got either of them working yet. I'll let you know if I do.

It took me all day yesterday to get this far. See what happens when you take your eye off the ball?
I could upgrade and remap a TTOne in about 10 minutes last year. Made a tidy bit of beer money from all the other lads on the fleet keeping them up to date with new SD cards, maps, camera sites, bridge heights, truck stops etc, but it all fell over when the new TT security system came in, and then the trucking firm went bust and I left the country.

Coming back to cold Blighty tomorrow :( for a few days. I'll try out this new map. I bet the new bit of A2 at Ebbsfleet still isn't on it. It took nearly 2 years for new bit of A10 to get mapped.

I suggest you do a bit of reading in these threads to acquaint your self with what is involved and what you will need to obtain before tackling this.
Basically you will need to update your Navcore ( the TT's operating system) with one which is capable of using the latest functions and which is already cracked. Then you will need a map which is able to provide these functions. You will need a newish copy of a programme to patch the maps with a copy of the codes ( meta.txt) that the prog needs to patch the map. Finally, if you wish to use TT Home you will need a patched edition of the Home Navcore for that Device Navcore.

Choose 8.204 it is the most stable of the two.

You will need to download and install Cryptload in order to download the map and Nav stuff. Here: http://cryptload.info/

Choose 8.204 it is the most stable of the two.

Thanks for your help Tuppy. I managed to get it all working thanks to help from peeps on here.:)
It turned out the I had the wrong version of the map. I had 2024, I was meant to have 2003 for the GO720. So if yours aint working, put a map ver 2003 on and try that :)

You can change the bootloader file to one which will allow this. This file is called, "system".
system 5.5106 will work fine with the ONE.
You cannot downgrade a bootloader only upgrade to a higher number.
It is not without risk. It is a little like flashing your bios on your PC.
If anything interupts the flashing then you will have a brick.

Yes. In your own post.
As it says, it is a dlc file You need to download and install Cryptload or jDownloader to make use of the dlc. You download the dlc which is an encrytped link and the prog will connect to the link and download the map. This has been mentioned many times in these forums. Links are removed very quickly. That is why uploaders now mostly use dlc.files. It helps protect the actual link from being found and removed.

If you look at the date of the post you quoted you will see that it predates NC7.900 by many months.
The post was made to draw the attention of the many posters who were making numerous enquiries as to whether their phone could run v8 firmware when v8 was first released.
As you can imagine it gets monotonous pointing out the same answer over and over. That is why it was put in colourful big bold type.

The system file can be found here:
http://www.2shared.com/file/4386226/94f96e5e/system5.html

It is called system5.5106
It should have these properties:

Size: 779 KB (798,386 bytes)
Size on disk: 780 KB (798,720 bytes)

To install you simply copy it into the root of your TomTom card allowing it to overwrite your existing system file if it exists in root. Place the SD card into your Tomtom and switch on.
If you decide to install it, remember to fully charge your TomTom first. Do NOT interupt the first bootup of your TomTom and allow time for the flashing to complete, about 10 to 15 seconds. Use a working SD card. i.e. the one you normally use, not a new one that you are not sure about.
It is done many times by many people without mishap but there is always the possibility that something may not go as planned. Sod's Law.
I take no responsibility for this. Do it at your own risk.

Yes, but I have no experience with a 910. FW 8.30 should be the current FW for your device. FW 8.204 is for the new X40 units. However, you can use either one on a 910. The latest maps are v8.15. With the current FW & a 8.15 map, IQ is automatic.

Hi all:

I have a Go300 and a Go700. I want to update them to the newest possible version. I've read pages and pages for hours and I'm willing to try, but I just want to confirm what I understood before I start all the work.

1. I must update the firmware by copying the contents of the Go_One_8.10 folder posted in the forum to my devices.
2. I must download and patch the maps with the Tomtom_Map_Patcher free edition
3. I can add functions like the vocalizer and high speed cameras.

Could you confirm if these are the right steps? Could you confirm if my devices are capable for the new software/maps? Your advice will be greatly appreciated.

Although this * says for the One, it will work for your 300 and 700 too. It is a dump from a working device and has a later Navcore than the 8.10. ( remember to click Thanks on Johnny's post if you use it)
You will need a map. Go for an 815,2003 to get all the features.
The keygen posted by BU
here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=3606913&postcount=2
does not need to be installed and works fine.

MAKE A BACKUP of your present devices. Make sure your devices are fully charged before first boot.

Look for a file called system in the dump. Remove it and save it. Replace with your own system file. This file is the bootloader and cannot be reversed once updated. All other changes can be reversed.
Once you are happy everything seems to be working fine you can then replace your system file with the one from the dump.
The above is not essential it is merely a precaution. Belt and braces approach.

You will need other than NC 7.900 to use 815.2003 maps. That Nav will see 815.2024 though. Your NC8.300 will see the .2003 maps.
Also, try Johnny's post as mentioned previously post #612 which has Nav 8.204 which will see 815.2003 maps. (Click Thanks on HIS post)

You will need a map. Go for an 815,2003 to get all the features.

Rytenuff,

I just downloaded an earlier 815 map. Where can I get the 815.2003 map? Do you have a dlc file for it? What features could I be missing?

Your link goes to a Johnnyboy147 post?
This is a multinational site. There is no way of knowing in which country anyone is based from a forum name.
i.e. There is more than one country with a 815.2003 map for it so I don't know if I have a dlc for it and if I had I would probably have posted it already.

What options did you choose in the dct genererator?

What options did you choose in the dct genererator?

I was about to answer your post, but then I realized I just answered it here (http://www.gpsunderground.com/forums/showthread.php?p=27664#post27664). You can also see my screenshot there. But to expound on my answer there, first I took the meta information, copied and pasted it into the "Meta.txt" file in the "Progs" folder of the KEYGEN. I moved the "USA_and_Canada-22.meta" file into the "insert_meta_from_Map_here" folder. Then I ran the "RunMeforDCT.cmd", and chose option 1 both times. Keygen runs okay, and then I move the meta and dct in to the map folder. I select the map in Tomtom, and I'm good.

Of course, even though this map works, I'm still waiting for the North America v8.15 maps that'll work with Navigator 7.910 because those maps are more detailed . . .

ok im not sure if im asking a stupid question here but ive tried looking at the whole thread and i still dont understand lol

basically i have a tomtom one v2 (new edition)

and i have just downloaded the 8.2 navcore, that seems to run fine.

but i have these maps and NONE of them work at all, keeps saying something like ' this map will not work on this tomtom version' or something similar

here are the maps i have literally just tried.

v8.15 western and central europe
v8.10 western and central europe
v8.05 western and central europe

surely one of these should have worked because navcore 8 + v8 maps???

Thanks

Not a dumb question.

Have you replaced the Navcore ttsystem file with a "patched" Navcore ttsystem file?

Next question: Which Navecore 8.2 do you have, 8.203 or 8.204??

My 910 works fine with the v8.3 Navcore (maps NA 8.10 and UKROI 8.10) from here:

http://www.4shared.com/file/70801885/b970415b/Navcore_8300973SE_basispack__SE_ttsystem__ASR__dll .html

Thanks.

How did you do that? I won't get the v8.3 navcore to work. Yes, I have this patched one, but my go910 just freezes and it won't start. I have tried almost every instruction I had found here, but no....nothing happens. Hmmm..and stupid question: where exactly this navcore must put? Only to the go910 root folder called Application for go910 and/or this tomtom home program folder called extensions (have put this navcore .dll file there, but no good...nothing happens)?

My go910 works only with nc7.900 and i have map western and central europe 810.xxx. I have tried map v815 (.2003 and 2024 if I remember right), but it won't work and I don't know why. I would be very happy if someone can help me with this.

I have had help in this topic and everytime I had press the thanks button. So I have to say THANK YOU ALL for nice work and I hope you all keep going!! (and sorry for my bad english)

Just downloaded the above most recent easyusetools and still shows no maps found on my TomTom One 2nd Edition.

Look inside your map folder and locate the files called META and PNA
Copy both files to the easyusetools folder "insert_meta_from_Map_here"
Make sure the meta.txt text document, with your map listed, is in the folder called Progs.
Now click on the, "RunMeforDCT" command script.
You should see 3 options
Select number 1 which says Run it for Navcore 8.010 and higher.
You then get 2 options
Select 1 which says Run Keygen for insert_meta_from_Map_here.
You should see a DCT file appear in the insert_meta_from_Map_here folder.
Copy all the files in the insert_meta_from_Map_here into your map folder.

Unfortunately for you the big deal is that for months now people have wound us up by not having the courtesy to say thanks with the thumbs up thanks button when they take our uploads.

This has got worse and worse and we can often see our uploads are downloaded hundreds of times and only 1 or 2 of those people have said thanks.

So a word to the wise, in order to get continuous help the best bet is to just thank anyone whose download you use so they can feel appreciated (you may not know that we often have to upload these files over and over as they keep getting removed and this takes a lot of time).

In what way is part 14 not working? I have just downloaded that part on it's own without problem.

It contains:
pio.dat
North_America.pna
North_America-19
mapinfo.dat
faces.met
faces.dat

The PNA of that map says it is :

ID=North_America.pna
1634427783
815
build=2019
id=225369

So it is an 815.2019 map.

What is sarcastic about, "You are looking in the wrong place?"

No sarcasm, just fact. I just downloaded the map from post 212 on page 22 of the site in reference with no problem. It took 10 minutes.
Click on the post 212 link. When you have Logged In, left click on the "Download DLC" button in the middle of the page. Save the DLC to your desktop. Left click the DLC on your desktop, Cryptload will open and a second window will also open asking to add the package. Click ADD. A third window will open with "Package Settings". In this window you can specify where to put the download. Click OK & you are off and running.

No BU this is exactly the same as the EasyUseTools I posted. It is the latest from TTUser, the man who wrote it. He is German. His English is difficult to understand, that is why I spend a while translating it into easier to understand English.
If this forum wasn't broken and would allow everyone to post links there would only be one post/link for the EasyUseTools.

Ok I have another problem. Since updating to the new firmware on my tt720, and the latest UK map, I cannot setup the "wireless data connection" to my n95. Before upgrading it set itself up automatically when connectining to the n95. Now all i get is a message
"An error occured, unable to complete task. Do you want to set up your wireless data connection manually?"
I have tried entering all details as per the tomtom site. and when attempting to use any data services, it fails straight away, like it doesnt even try to connect.

I have tried deleting the gprssettings.dat and gprscom.conf from the tomtom, and it doesnt fix it.

Any ideas ??

Thanks in advance.

Sorry, I got it working in the end.

I connected tt720 up to tomtom home, and noticed "phone connection settings" were stored on the computer, but not the tomtom device itself. Clicked "Add", it installed to the tt720. Then tried connecting my n95 again, and it all worked automatically again.

So now that is working. Is it possible to use live weather/fuel price updates etc from the "live services" without paying a subscription.
I know its a lot to ask, but I did have a patched tomtom on my old nokia 6600 and all the "live services" worked without paying a penny to tomtom. Just wondered if its possible on the tt720 ??

TIA.

then you can see the speed cameras on screen when driving

This is my 1st post here. I've searched through many of the threads. It seems that some use Macs. All the guidance to install N8 software and maps are through a Windows setup. Anybody do this with a Mac? I use a Mac because I find it more user friendly. I read through all the suggestions with Windows apps. and I only get more confused. Can I do anything with a Mac? I do use Virtual PC on a G5 but man it is slow. I tried to do some stuff w/ the TomTom on my son's Intel based Mac w/ Parallels. The speed was fine but I still got lost. I even tried to follow videos I found on the net.

Any direction or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Please don't hate me because I started with and stuck with a Mac. Thanks!

Here is the dlc as I downloaded it: http://www.2shared.com/file/4406930/45a16eb2/USA_and_Canada_v81512022.html
Give it a try and see what comes up in your copy of Cryptload. If it fails, I suggest you delete your copy of Cryptload and download another fresh copy from here: http://cryptload.info/download/ ( click on "Schlieben" ) to get rid of the ad.
If you followed the below instructions exactly and were unsuccessful, then I can't offer any further help.

Done both of these guys and the new cryptload gives me the following message

File 'C:\Users\Steve MegaUploadCom.jpg' not found

I presume this is the same error message as before but in English any ideas anyone?

@ Emailpatch.
When you Rt. click on the dlc file and select properties what do you see? I see under General tab:

USA_and_Canada_v815.2022
Type of file: Container File
Size: 1.12 KB (1,156 bytes)
Size on disk: 4.00 KB (4,096 bytes)

Have you tried using jDownloader instead? Do you have the same problem with any other dlc files?

Is your name Steve by any chance?
When a dlc link takes you to a MegaUploadCom site a small box with the captcha letters like RTV or whatever is is for that file appears in the bottom Rt hand corner of my screen. I wonder if that is what it is referring to?

Does anyone else see this box when the dlc link goes to MegaUpload?
It doesn't happen when the dlc file takes you to a Rapidshare site.

See what you see!, yes downloaded jDownloader yesterday, I don't get any error messages but it just hangs and doesnt download. And in answer to the other point Cryptload has been working fine up until this point. It's annoying to say the least.

Does every dlc that leads to a MegaUpload repository give you this error or is it just the ones that have been posted here?
Do dlc files that lead to a Rapidshare repository give the same errors?

Rapidshare seems to work OK, but thats the only DLC tried with MegaUpload.

Can anyone who is able to post attachments to this forum tell me this? When you click on attachments I get a list of icons with the maximum file size allowed. Two of the icons don't display, they have a red x cross through them. They are ask 2.9 KB and rpl 2.9 KB
Do they display an icon for you?
I ask because just before the upload fails the message at the bottom of the box says:
(2items remaining) Downloading picture http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/images/attach/ask.gif...
If you type in http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/images/attach/zip.gif you can see an icon of a zip file but ask.gif and rpl.gif are not there.

This is how to post attachments, see if you can succeed where so many of us cannot:

To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.

On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.

To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window. You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.

What files types can I use? How large can attachments be?

In the attachment window you will find a list of the allowed file types and their maximum sizes. Files that are larger than these sizes will be rejected. There may also be an overall quota limit to the number of attachments you can post to the board.

Hi!

Sorry if I'm in the wrong section - I've only just joined!

My Gaffer has been given a TomTom One V2 with UK/ROI V6.6 (or thereabouts!) Application & Mapping, and I'd love to upgrade it to 8.15 Western Europe & add "IQ Routing/Lane Guidance" for him as he hates driving in traffic these days!

I have a set of V8.15.2003 maps which I understands supports IQ/LG, but I'm stumped with:-

1) How do I enable X30 emulation to add these features?

2) Which NavCore & Firmware Package do I need that One V2 can run without lockups, etc?

3) Will the One V2 take a 2GB card needed for the maps?

4) What BootLoader is needed? - All the links seem to have gone again! Does a BootLoader come with the Firmware V8.10 Package? - I have this 38MB file by the way!

I have a copy of the Video Tutorials and TT Home v2.5.1.36 - do I need an earlier version of TT Home to patch files etc?

Many thanks,

Chris Williams

To run that map you need a later Navcore. 8.204 see this post by Johnnyboy. It is a complete dump from a working One v2:
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=3887373&postcount=490 Remember to click Thanks on HIS ( not this post) Bootloader 5.5106 will allow SDH cards of >4GB

you don't patch files with Home . You need a v8 keygen. See post #2

The ask and rpl files are from the mobile side of thing (used for the calculation of corrupt lock data on nokia phones, you create a ask file then the server / client can convert the ask file to a rpl)

None of these files are needed in the GPS Section but i have had a word with the super mods / admin of GsmHosting and they are trying to sort this attachment problem

Thanks

Hello there, I have got a tomtom 520 with Navcore 8.300 and UK&IRE Map V815.2003, Everything is fine but i have noticed that when i added some new POI's from TomTom Home then the feature which when you navigate to.. POI.. POI Near You.. Search any POI... does not work, For example if i do Asda then it says POI not found but if i go under the supermarket section of POI's instead of doing the search by poi button then i can navigate to an Asda, which is strange, now even the original POI's do not come up if searched under the Search By POI button. Should the new POI's be put into the Map folder or a seperate poi folder in the root? The only thing i can think of is re-installing a map so atleast hopefully the original POI's come in the search by POI or one thing i have not done is I have not put the Home .dll file in my computer files, is this why?, i am now also not getting any map correction updates or Quick GPS fixes for the past 3-4 days. I thought before doing anything i should ask you guys. Any suggesstion or advice would be greatful?

Thanks alot,

Mo

I can't help you with the POIs as I don't have that device or Navcore. Someone else hopefully will.
TomTom have said they were going to cut down on the updates to once a week. I think their servers are getting too much of a hit.

I get daily Quick GPS fixes & weekly Map Correction updates. Unless you have a "patched" Navcore, you don't need a "patched" HOME.dll file.

i have no probs uploading text ,rar , or zip as these are the only ones i use but all are listed as valid file extensions so i can only think that the red cross is because there is no picture to display.

What have they done to the compass? Before I 'up'graded to navcore 8 I had a compass arrow with straight line distance to destination. Now I have a compass arrow pointing north and a direction of travel bearing on the status bar. Very useful for cross ocean navigation but useless on the roads. I've gone through the settings but it seems there are no other options.
Any ideas?
Other than blasting emails at TT complaining, which I will do if someone on here doesn't call me 'thicko' at points me to how to change it.

Hi everyone,
I have read right through this thread over 2 days & tried to take in as much as I can, but you have to admit there is a lot to take in for someone that is new to this stuff.

I have a TT One v2 and have tried the above with a v815.2003 map that I have. Howeve all I get is the start up screen ….the unit won’t go past this.

So at present I’m running
Navcore v8.001 Go X10
Map UK & ROI v8.10.1870

Could anyone advise me what is the best v8 software & map to use on my unit please?

Many thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to answer that. We now know that is not the problem. It seemed to be relevant because it always fails just after that appears on screen.

I have successfully installed BU's Go_One_8.10 Navcore and added Usa_and_Canada_815_2022 to my ONE 125 v.8.014. The only problem so far is that once I disconnect from TT Home and device reboots and then if I turn it off it doesn't turn on. I get white screen and that is it. I can see that brightness changes to low once I try to shut it down just like on normal screen. It starts when you reboot it by pushing the button on for 15 seconds and works fine untill next shut down. Any suggestions why it does that?
Thanks in advance.
