How did you get it working? All the info to install it is contained in these threads. Presumably you read them more thoroughly than you did the first time?
Look in your TomTom for a folder called, "ephem". Read the text file inside called, "ee_meta" . It will say something like, Expiry= xxxxxxxxx where x equals numerals. Copy these numerals into the box HERE (http://www.onlineconversion.com/unix_time.htm)
It will tell you when the GPSFix expires. If it is less than a week, HOME may not give you an update.
They are limiting the updates from time to time when their servers are busy.
You can try deleting the files in ephem ( save them somewhere first) and see if HOME will give you an update then.
Thanx. Any reason you can't use this same site to create a NEW Unix timestamp and replace the expiring one in the ee_meta file?

I've seen a couple of guys claiming that they have Loquendo working with One vs and 8.204 but on further questioning they admit it is VocalizerTTS.
You know from asking yourself in another place that no one has given an answer about HOW they got it working. If they have managed to fix something others have not they would be posting about it all over the place.TTUser has not posted a fix for it either. Enough said.
I will have to agree with you on this.

Hi there, I have got a query, i have got my brothers TT300 here which is still running the original V6 NC & UK & Ire Map. I wanted to know which New NC and Map is stable for the TT300. On my TT520 i am successfully using a patched Navcore V8.32 and UK & IRE Map V815.2003. I copied all my files from my 520 and put it onto another memory card and patched the map to the TT300, when you enter the new card and switch it on it all works fine untill your normal screen comes up where it shows you recent place (the map screen) when you tap the map it just sort of freezes and will restart after a few seconds and will work fine again till the map screen. If you tap the bottom right of the TT300 screen that all works fine because it says that it is running NC V8.320 and Map V815.2003. Any suggesstions?
Thanks again, Mo

Hi!
After reformatting the SD card, using TT's Clear Flash Tool, then recopying johnnyboy147's card dump and finally applying the KG on v8.15.2003 UK/ROI maps everything's come on fine with IQ/ALG, but I'm still not sure how to enable the Safety Cameras!
As I'm using UK/ROI maps only can I use the UK .ov2 & ver files only from the 18-12-08 download?
Where on the TomTom do I need to copy 'em & how do I enable 'em?
Many thanks,
Chris Williams

Using the easyusetool which can be found on one of the earlier threads if you have not alrady got it, copy from the map folder 2 files which will be for example mine are "United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-19.meta" & the "United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland.pna" so basically the .pna file and the .meta file, be sure not to copy the .meta.dct file as then it will not work. Then place these 2 files into the folder where all the camera files are, (I just updated the ones you are trying to update and it worked fine). Then click on the RunMeforDCT icon in the easytools folder and follow the instuctions, make sure you choose the option which says files from "insert_meta_from_Map_here" and the correct one for you Navcore version. Then you are done, this will then create some new camera files in the camera folder, copy all the files in the camera folder except the 2 .meta and the .pna file and paste all the files directly into you Map folder and it should now work. Hope it all goes well,
Mo

Hi, first of all you cannot run a V8 Map on a V7 Navcore (firmware) and any features like Lane Guidance or IQR will not work. There are two ways of getting the new Navcore, either see if TT HOME will let you update it to a version 8 firmware (latest one is the V8.320) and then simply download the patched files on some of the earlier threads making sure that it is for the same Version that Home is giving you. Then replace the patched ttsystem file on to the root of your newly downloaded firmware. In the patched download you will find 4 folders, one of them will contain the patched ttsystem file and another folder will be called for example "SE_ttsystem.8320.9901", inside this folder you will need to copy and paste 2 files which are the "Outsourced.8320" and the unextracted "switchfiles" file into the root of your tomtom and overright the files.
IF TomTom Home is not giving you an upgrade to a new firmware then you can find the latest one on here a few pages back (V8.320). If you download this then just follow the steps earlier and you should be fine, One other thing, I am not sure on the TT One's but the map you have got V815.2024 is not very good as you do not get the Lane Guidance and the full IQR, the more stable map is the UK & IRE V815.2003, Hope this helps, Also the new Camera's are also available a couple of pages away. Hope all goes well.

Hi,
I would just like to say thankyou to everyone who helped me out upgrading my TT go 510. (i have clicked the thanks button on links and advice i have used)
I now have v8 firmware and maps on my TT. I'm really enjoying receiving the mapshare updates, iq routes and lane guidance. I used my TT the other day when i went out with a friend and he was so impressed with the latest updates he asked me to try and upgrade his TT one, and sure enough ive managed to do it. Again thanks to this site and its users.
I will be sticking around and try and help any new users who hit the same hurdles that i did during my initial upgrades.
Thanks again,
Russ

Nav 7.9xx is really a cut down version of v8. It will read some v8 maps but not all. Look at the table posted by tendriver recently.

The GPSFix is the positioning of the satellites for the period the fix is valid i.e. until the expiry date. Changing the date would not affect the positioning of the satellites.

Thanx. I misunderstood. I read your post as meaning that after the expiry date, GPSFix updates would no longer be received. I continue to learn.

Had it been I, I would not have copied files from one device into the other. I would have started fresh by putting the downloaded cracked NC 8.320 on the memory card, then creating a .dct with the downloaded 815.2003 map and putting the .dct file and downloaded map files on the card.

Then from the folder "ttsystem.8320.9901.mappatch" I am copying the ttsystem file and the data.chk and over-writing these 2 files with the one's on the new SD Card. Then I am getting the Map folder and copying it to the SD Card and then patching it. Can you notice anything wrong here???

Not sure I understand the need for all the overwriting. I would start with a clean SD card. Install all the 8.320 files and folders from here: http://download.tomtom.com/sweet/navcore/navcore_8.320.9901.gox20.cab (http://download.tomtom.com/sweet/navcore/navcore_8.320.9901.gox20.cab)
Then install only the ttsystem file from here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HCLO34FX (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=HCLO34FX)
Then install your patched map folder.

Hi msubedar (http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/member.php?u=904772). Having read through your recent posts it looks as though you may have had the same problem as mine. All i did is keep updating the navcore in stages which seemed to give a different bootloader. To see the bootloader remove the sd card, then hold in the power button. You should get a black screen with all your devices info. Record the bootloader number to see any changes after each update.
As for which versions and maps i used scroll back to page 60 #893. There`s everything i did. However i didn`t bother with any special voices but lane correction,speed/safety cams,fuel prices all work. All done for a TomTom Go300 which now has navcore8204 + v815_2003 maps.
ps ive not yet mastered uploading any content so all ive got is from this site so all the thanks is due to the help from others on here good luck mate.:)

Is TomTom v8 the version which works on Symbian Mobiles?
Also if it is or isn't; does it provide or have the ability to give turn-by-turn navigation?!

Hello,
I have a TOMTOM GO710.
Is it possible to run a navcore 8204.9718 on it?
I now have the 8010 downloaded from one of the threads here but it will not work with the maps I have.
Central_and_Western_Europe_2GB 815.2003 and 815.2034.
For what I know the 2034 should work with the 8204 but does my GO710?

First of all thank you so much for your great work.
I have a TomTom One v3 USA and Canada (1GB internal memory, no SD - at least for now ;) )
I want to be able to run the latest Western_Europe map. what would be the right FW and NC combination?
I have tried with the 8.10 from previous messages on this thread, everything works except the .OGG files to warn in the proximity of POIs.
Anyone has a FW/NC for One v.3?
Thanks in advance!

The USA & Canada 8.15.2022 is pretty useless. But if you insist:

Why do you say this map is useless? Also, I dl'ed the North American map you posted earlier (pg 57 or so) and set up the meta file but the Easy Tools tell me there is no key for the map in the meta file. Any ideas?

If it is this map, I inadvertently put RAR after the meta. Like this:
North_America_815_201910 F4 DA DE 4F BC 35 BD A8 A9 B1 3B 34 FC 2D 9B North_America-19.metaRAR
Delete the part RAR so it reads:
North_America_815_201910 F4 DA DE 4F BC 35 BD A8 A9 B1 3B 34 FC 2D 9B North_America-19.meta
Copy it into the meta.txt which is in Progs folder.

It is very small & basic. It is for devices that have 1 GB internal memory and no card slot.

The map directory on my GO720 is "North_America_2GB". Do I leave the directory name the same same and just copy the new 815.2019 data into it, or do I have to change the name of the directory?

If you use BuMobiles EasyTools post on page 1, it has the meta text already included, so you shouldn't have a problem. Once you have successfully patched your map, ALL of the files for 815.2019 should be in a FOLDER. I named mine North_America_v8.15. If you use your internal memory only, you must remove the North_America_2GB FOLDER first, to have enuf space, before you copy the entire 8.15.2019 FOLDER into your device memory.

I have seen where a couple of guys say the auto switch to night mode is functioning on their 910s with 8.204. Comments?
Yes, it is working....although I got it working in my go910. I put nc 8.204 and it seems to work fine, but my remote control still won't work and maybe this lane guidance neither.
Do you tendriver know if lane guidance pictures option will work in go910...and the remote control too?

I have ZERO knowledge about TT remotes. On page 3 of your 910 preferences, there is the option of having lane guidance on or off. If that option is grayed out, then you don't have it. If it is not grayed out & reads "Hide Lane Images", then it is ON.

Yes, I had this lg button with nc 8.320, but as I wrote, it wasn't working. Now, I have nc 8.204 and I just found out, that lg is working (map w&ce 8.15.2003) :D !! Ok, now it's looking good: most of the problems is fixed and only problem (for now) is the remote control. I just have to live without it...for now..or go back to nc 7.903.
One thing is missing in nc.8.204 menu and it's the compass options. It can be shown in the screen, but there aren't any options for it. If I remember right...that can be fixed, but how?

With "Voice Command", the neccessity of a remote should be diminished to a degree. If you elect to show the "compass" on the map page, all it does is point to North. NO fix that I know of. You can go to the second page of Status Bar Preferences on Change Preferences page 4, and select Direction. That will give you your heading direction in degrees in the lower right corner of the map page.

Hi Guys,
A few weeks ago some of you great guys helped me instal Western Europe Maps on a Tomtom ONE Version 3 (I think It was V3!!) Anyway it had an SD slot in it. NOW... my question is.... I am thinking of buying a Tomtom ONE V4, but from what I can see it has internal memory. So is it still possible to hack these. Or does it have an SD slot that is not mentioned anywhere I have looked?
Thanks for all your help guys.

Hi guys. I've been going crazy with my TT One XL and trying to put a euro map on a sd card.
TT Home....2.5
TT One XL.... 8.010
I backed the unit up then installed everything on the 2gig card via TT Home. I deleted US and Guam folders and installed the Western_and_Central_Europe-15 folder. I downloaded this map from a members post so I don't know if it's been patched or what not.
I follow the tutorials everywhere and the forum instructions using Easyusetools but with no luck. I copy the meta and pna files to the proper folder, copy the device id to the text file then run "RunMeforAllAutomatic", choose "1", then choose the letter of the drive my card is in....(I have tried with the card in the TT and directly at the PC, no difference)
### Run Fake meta.txt Check ###
Western_and_Central_Europe-15.meta v810 bld1907 Key seems to be OK
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
### Run Keygen ###
f:\WCE_810_1907\Western_and_Central_Europe-15.meta.dct exist already
f:\WCE_810_1907\Western_and_Central_Europe-15.meta.dct exist
Used DeviceID from ttgo.bif = (deleted)
Used Option 1 Hint: you need also a patched TTsystem / TomTom Navigator.exe !
Press any key to continue . . .
Then what?
I'm always getting the red screen when booting up with the card. It sees the map but says it can't be used.
Any help would be great.:confused:
-Thanks
Hi, can someone help me to get my new map working?
I have a tomtom one 1GB with app. 7.903 and the original map: Western Europe v660.1256.
Now I want to update to a new WE map. I have downloaded both 'Western Europe 815.2024' and 'Western Europe 715.2024'.
I tried to get both to work, but didnt manage, I think I get stuck at the patching of 7.903, but I'm not sure.
Could someone fix an idiot guide, or something for me?
Thanks for the replies. Now I'm starting to understand. I had the 7.xxx on it before the update so I couldn't figure out why I needed it. It's starting to add up now.
I downloaded the link you gave me and I find three folders. I understand about patching TT Home with the dll file as I have read about it before. I also notice the other two being with x20. x30.910 difference. I would assume the regular file is for my One XL TT unit.
I would make a copy of the current Navcore files before I did an overwrite. Then copy (overwrite) the files in the "navcore_SE_8.204.9718_basicpack" folder into your TT device. Open the "SE_ttsystem.8204.9718.x10.x20.x30.rev.1.3.3" folder and copy the ttsystem file into your device. To operate your TT from TT HOME on your puter, copy the "Home_Navcore.8.204.9718_tomtom.com" FOLDER, not just the contents to here on your puter: C:\Users\XXXXXXX\AppData\Roaming\TomTom\HOME\Profi les\bgmv5oco.default\extensions
That should do it.
Indeed that did it.
My GO710 is now updated to 8.204 and run's with the 815.2003 2GB map.
This after a lot of reading and downloading (with Jdownloader).:cool:
Easyusetools for Keygen, Mapcheck, Metacheck, ttsystem-Patcher
by TTuser
It is better to Extract it directly to C:\Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck_ttsystempatcher or similar
NOT to TTDevice!
ttsystem Patcher does NOT work with Navcore 7.900,7.903, 8.010 and higher!
You need to use the already patched ttsystem.
It is important: to run your Device first, to have a valid ttgo.bif / ttnavigator.bif
With RunMeforAllAutomatic the prog. should read the ID from File ttgo.bif or ttnavigator.bif
Option "Search Home Emulator dlls and patch each dll" will Search your complete HD for TTHome Emulator dlls and patch each dll.
You will see nothing, simply wait until you are told to press a key........
To activate Speedcams it is better to do it manually with "insert_meta_from_Map_here" Folder.
The Keygen will possibly fail to do it the fully automatic Way.
__________________________________________________ __________________
It is recommended to use: RunMeforAllAutomatic.cmd
The program will try to search and select the correct Settings,
Examine the selected Values, if they are correct press Enter, if not then press N
(To select Option 3 press also N)
First select which Navcore Version you are running.
Available Options:
1. For Version 7.451, 7.910, 7.900,7.903, 8.010 and higher
2. For Version 7 ( but NOT 7.451, 7.910. 7.900,7.903, see above) up to 8.002
3. For Map Version 6
for Option 1. Navcore 8:
You need only to enter the TT-Driveletter.
Enter your Devicecode. (only if it can't read ID from ttgo.bif or if it is not in DeviceID.txt)
Read Output
Done
for Option 2.
1. run Keygen for all Maps at your TTDevicestorage
2. run ttsystem Patcher for ttsystem which is in your TTDevicestorage
3. Search Home Emulator dlls and patch each dll
Enter your Devicecode. (only if it can't read ID from ttgo.bif)
Read Output
Done
for Option 3. Map Version 6:
You need only to enter the TT-Driveletter.
Enter your Devicecode (if not written in deviceid.txt)
Read Output
Done
__________________________________________________ ________________________
For use with the Folder "insert_meta_from_Map_here" and RunMeforDCT.cmd
The Manual Way:
Write your Devicecode into File DeviceID.txt and the Keygen will use this automatically.
Copy the *map*.meta [found in the map folder] (NOT the meta.txt, leave that in Progs folder) and if you wish, also *.pna (also to be found in the map folder) into "insert_meta_from_Map_here" Folder.
First select for whichever Navcore Version you are running.
1. For Version 7.451, 7.900,7.903,7.910 8.010 and higher
2. For Version 7( but NOT 7.451, 7.900 7.903, 7.910.see above) up to 8.002
3.For Map Version 6
for Option 1. Navcore 8
1. Run Keygen for "insert_meta_from_Map_here"
Enter your Devicecode. (if not written in deviceid.txt)
Read Output
If OK Copy the new *.dct into your Mapfolder from Device.
Done
for Options 2. Navcore 7
1. Run Keygen for insert_meta_from_Map_here
2. Run Keygen for all Maps that are in your TTDevicestorage
3. Run ttsystem Patcher for ttsystem that is in your TTDevicestorage
4. Search Home Emulator dlls and patch each dll
Enter your Devicecode. (if not written in deviceid.txt)
Read Output
If OK Copy the new *.dct into your Mapfolder in your Device.
Done
for Option 3. Map Version 6:
You need only to enter the TT-Driveletter.
Enter your Devicecode (if not written in deviceid.txt)
Read Output
Done
_______________
Needed Files:
for Metacheck you need the map*.pna and map*.meta inside "insert_meta_from_Map_here" Folder.
for Keygen you need only the map*.meta "insert_meta_from_Map_here" Folder.
for Mapcheck you need map*.meta, map*.dct and maybe if you wish map*.pna, and the correct Devicecode/serial associated with the *.dct
__________________________________________________ ______________________
RunMeforMetaKey.cmd
If you have a bought Map you can create the ****fish Key with this.
Options
1. Run Mapcheck for all Maps on your TTDevice
2. Run Mapcheck for Folder "insert_meta_from_Map_here"
Option 1 you need a valid TTgo.bif.
You find the Mapkeys in meta.txt and the complete Output in File mc.txt or/and mcseri.txt.
You can also write your Serial or ID in DeviceID.txt.
For original Maps you need your Serial.
For stolen, activated with Keygen Maps you need your ID.
For Voices you need your ID.
About HOME:
7.451, 7.900,7.903, 7.910, 8.010, 8.010 and up Home dll you cannot patch with this program.
You need an already patched "Emulator .dll" only for the emulated (virtual) TTHome Device.
You need of course to let Home first download the original Files first.
You can for Navcore 7, (But NOT 7.451, 7.900,7.903, 7.910) use Option 3 (RunMeforAllAutomatic) or 4 (RunMeforDCT) to patch all dlls automatically. It may possibly take a long time to search your complete HD.
If you run it somewhere from HD C: it will search only on C: for the dlls, If you have the dlls on an other HD, run the Tool from the other Drive.
Manual Way:
The Path to the dlls is different for XP, Vista and Home Version. You will not find the dlls by using Windows Search.
For XP normally:
for an old Home 1.x:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\ApplicationData\TomTom\HOME\Navigator Dlls\
For a Home up to 2.1 :
C:\Programfiles\TomTomHome2\xul\plugins\emulator\n avcore\
For 2.2 - x.x :
You can see inside Home under Help > Systeminfos > Profilfolder
XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\????\ApplicationData\TomTom\HOME\Profiles \????.default\extensions\Navcore.7.?????@tomtom.co m
Vista:
C:\Users\???????\AppData\Roaming\TomTom\HOME\Profi les\?????????.default\extensions\Navcore.8.?????@t omtom.com
MAC:
User's_Home/Library/ApplicationSupport/TomTomHOME/Profiles/????????.default/Resources/Extensions/Navcore.8.002.9117.mac@tomtom.com/8-002-9117-1.framework
You select the dll from your used Firmwareversion (7.162,7.221...) example 7-221-8572-3.dll and copy this into Folder "insert_meta_from_Map_here" and execute RunMeforDCT or RunMeforAllAutomatic and wait a short while, you will see on top of the Screen what is now happening. When it is finished you can close the Window with X if you now only need to patch the dlls. Copy the dll back to the Homefolder and overwrite the original.
OK = dll now patched
Cant find= dll already patched or old V6 dll or 7900,7.903, 8010 and higher
Is this a One XL with NO internal memory & only a SD card?
It does have internal memory. About 1 gig or so me thinks. It came with the US and Guam maps. I don't want to touch them and just try to keep the TT unit as stock as possible. I fly to Europe and back often so a single unit that does it all would be great for me. A friend from business does the same thing and he bought the 920 with US and Euro maps but I can't afford that right now.:)
OK 1. IF you install a map from this or any other forum, you have to patch it. To use a patched map, you must have a cracked/patched Navcore.
2. Put anything to do with your Navcore in your internal memory. Put your patched map only on your SD card.
3. You do not need the Outsourced.bin folder. I don't know of any reason you would need the switchfiles.
Hopefully the use of the Outsourced folder May be better understood with this text adapted from the original to English syntax. The essential meaning remains unchanged.
.................................................. .................................................. ....................................
With Outsourced. xxxx you can save RAM. Drop the complete Folder in root.
With a File ttgo.bak, with the latest OFFICIAL Navcore-Numbers for your Device in root Home will think you have the correct version installed, not the Version that is actually installed. You only need this if your Device has the Official Version NOT this Version here.
You can create a ttgo.bak yourself with correct Numbers or use the inbuild auto Creation.
Use version.txt in root or /Config with your required Official Numbers.
Currently 22Dec '08 these are for:
TomTom GO, GO x00, GO x10, ONE 1st Edition, ONE 2nd Edition
A:7903
B:9183
Rider
A:7901
B:9181
ONE 30-Series, XL 30-Series, ONE XL, ONE 3rd Edition
A:8010
B:9369
x20,x30,630
A:8300
B:9732
With the Switchfiles in Root or in Folder Config you can configure yourself your Device.
Copy the Files from switchfiles.zip to root or /Config. Only root or Folder Config, NOT both!
TTSoff = switch TTS off
FMon = FMTransmitter on (for x10)
btoff = disable BT, if you do not need it , you may then save a little more RAM
bton = if you not have BT, enabling this will show Button for Speedcams in Menu
noqfixdel = disable Quickfix erase after you have pressed reset, if you wonder where Qfixfiles have gone.
delgns = remove (Start,supend) old TMC-Data (gns/gnsdata)
cleanflash= delete all from Flash that is possible (*.mac etc.), Settings will be lost
viewmsg = enable BootHelpMessages
noclean = disable the "remove all unneeded Files" to save RAM
rm = remove a few additional Files (these may be needed for BT) to save RAM (experimental)
runcheck = check a few "important" Files, view config.txt for Result
changedtext.txt = you can change the Text on Status/Info Screen, write your own Text in the File e.g. "Jim's TomTom"
poweroff = Device switch really completely off, not only sleeping.
SDid = write for each SD/Memory another Number inside and you can for each use your own different Mainsetting. Handy if you use more than one SD card.
usesetting= use always Settings from SD, not the in Device saved Settings
The Following
Does not apply to ALL Navs (this was adapted from 8.070)
model.txt = write one from following inside
ori = switch to your real Device
xls = switch to ONE XLS Emulation (for ones)
onettssdk = switch to ONE + TTS + SDK
onettssdk2= switch to ONE + TTS + SDK
x20 = switch to x20 Emulation
Standard is x30
cycle.txt = switch each reset between Setting from cycle.txt <> model.txt
It BacksUp also the Mainsettings between both Emus.( Emulations)
OK 1. IF you install a map from this or any other forum, you have to patch it. To use a patched map, you must have a cracked/patched Navcore.
2. Put anything to do with your Navcore in your internal memory. Put your patched map only on your SD card.
3. You do not need the Outsourced.bin folder. I don't know of any reason you would need the switchfiles.
I never bothered doing anything to the internal memory. I thought I could do it just to the 2 gig card. I just put in the two Navcore files(ttsystem and mctx) into the TT memory and now it doesn't go past the TT dashboard picture. Just frozen until I hard reset it. I didn't delete the old files, just added some extra letters to the original files so it's easy to go back to them and added the new ones.
Should I be using a 8204.9718 ttsystem file when my unit is 8.010?
On a side note, TT Home does see my card and I can even use "Operate my Device" on it for the euro map. Pretty cool.
Thanks to everyone, I'm one step closer...me thinks.:)
1. You don't need to fool with the mctx file.
2. You have to use the ttsystem file for the Navcore that is on your device.
3. Rather than "renaming" the original files, cut them out of your device & paste them somewhere on your puter.
Yes, it is working....although I got it working in my go910. I put nc 8.204 and it seems to work fine, but my remote control still won't work and maybe this lane guidance neither.
Do you tendriver know if lane guidance pictures option will work in go910...and the remote control too?
Hi, With the new Navcore, the GO910 does not work any more with the RC. You need a new RC with Buetooth with these new Navcores. (€. 49,**).
The RC was for Navcores 7.XXX.
(Mine has also become obsolete because of this).
I would not bother to change. NC8.3 is about the last one except for some newer builds. Maps 815.2003 is the best with lane guidance as yet!
Only reason to change Navcore could be that you can use downloaded maps.
If you are fine with your actual maps, leave it until you need new maps.
### Run Fake meta.txt Check ###
Western_Europe_1GB-22.meta v815 bld2024 Key seems to be OK
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Basic Explanation:
OK = All good and copy now .dct into the Mapfolder.
Wrong DeviceID symbols = Devicecode wrong written
There is no such map in keyfile Meta.txt = Your Map is until now not supported
Cant find file = no *.meta file inside Folder "insert_meta_from_Map_here"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
### Run Keygen ###
'Western_Europe_1GB-22.meta' - OK
^^^^^^^^Keygen Output here!^^^^^^^^^^
Keygen says OK , copy now the new *.dct into your Mapfolder
Used DeviceID = (deleted)
Used Option 1 Hint: you need also a patched TTsystem / TomTom Navigator.exe !
Press any key to continue . . .
Is this normal guys?
I have tried several cards, different maps, different Navores. I pretty much stumped. The DTC file looks exactly the same when made even when I put in the wrong info such as keys in the meta test file.
Any other ideas? Thanks.
Now we need to know which version or what kind of a remote control we should buy if we want one? So, the original rc won't work with nc 8.xxx. I asked Tomtom if nc v8.xxx is coming for go910, but they said there aren't any interest to make that...for now. So if I want that rc, do I have to buy rc made for example for x20, x30 or x40 series? Which one will work with go910 with nc 8.204?
Juhani, ifyou are using nc v8.3xx, do you have any problems? (execpt rc)
Make a folder for your map with all the map files in it and name it WITHOUT spaces, like North_America_815_2019 and leave it on your PC for the moment.
Look inside that folder and locate the files called .meta and .pna.
Copy both files to the folder "insert_meta_from_Map_here"
Make sure the meta.txt text document is in the folder called Progs.
Now click on the, "RunMeforDCT" command script.
You should see 3 options
Select number 1 which says Run it for Navcore 8.010 and higher.
You then get 2 options
Select 1 which says Run Keygen for insert_meta_from_Map_here.
You should see a DCT file appear in the insert_meta_from_Map_here folder.
Copy all the files in the insert_meta_from_Map_here into your map folder.
Place your map folder in the root of your TomTom i.e. NOT inside any other folder or on a SD card.
I use nc8.3xx and I haven't noticed any problems except rc, but I haven't used nc8.3xx and new maps a lot. I have only used it about 100 km range of my hometown. I might travel to Lappland and after that I will know more about problems (if there is). I will tell here, if I find any problems.
For anyone wishing to patch a Navcore which is the correct one for their device i.e. downloaded properly from HOME, this new patcher is for them. It will also patch the properly downloaded dll of HOME for that Navcore.
This patch is NOT meant for Navcores which are NOT meant for their device and will NOTallow maps which are NOT meant for use with that Navcore to be run.
For that, you will still need to use TTUser's, "SE Editions" of cracked ttsystems.
Re.above.
This is from the Readme file:
If you want to run a standard device system, as per TomTom official download, recommended for your device,
ie.. 8300 on a 520 - THIS is for YOU.
If you want to run a new, shiny, latest version navcore or upgrade to run 'unofficial' functions,
ie.. have ALG on a One - USE SE VERSIONS.
REMEMBER: This is to enable 'compatible' maps to run on 'official' App/Navcore direct from TT via Home. It will make your device run as STANDARD, not emulate another 'higher' device.. ie..
A 520 will run App v8300 & v815.2003 map & look like a 520
A 910 will run App v7900 & v815.2024 map NOT v815.2003, & look like a x10 NOT an x40
Your device will have all STANDARD functionality as per 'Original'/'Official' TomTom release. If you require non-standard features, use the pre-patched SE versions.
HOW TO - Simply navigate to the required ttystem or PNDNavigator file and apply patch.
HOME DLL
If you are running a standard system, NOT an SE version, read this..
You can use this tool to patch Home DLL's.
HOW TO - Simply allow Home to download the emulator files/folder with 'Operate My Go' & then apply patch to the .dll file.
Can you patch home with dlls when you use navcore 8.3se on a go510 as mine keeps telling me to upgrade to 7.9 also if i try to operate my tomtom from home it says i have no maps
8.10.1940 maps may not be compatible with Navcore 7.90. The latest maps are 8.15.
I have upgraded my GO 910 to Nav 8.300 with maps 815.2003 and the TT works perfectly.
The only thing that still is complaining about wrong files is HOME.
I have changed the .dll for the 'fixed' one but home does not agree.
I basically only want ¡t for the GPS fix data and the Mapshare.
How did you patch your HOME... and I mean step by step ?
I have upgraded my GO 910 to Nav 8.300 with maps 815.2003 and the TT works perfectly.
The only thing that still is complaining about wrong files is HOME.
I have changed the .dll for the 'fixed' one but home does not agree.
I basically only want ¡t for the GPS fix data and the Mapshare.
Cheers, joseph64
See rytenuff's post 1116 just above!!
Now we need to know which version or what kind of a remote control we should buy if we want one? So, the original rc won't work with nc 8.xxx. I asked Tomtom if nc v8.xxx is coming for go910, but they said there aren't any interest to make that...for now. So if I want that rc, do I have to buy rc made for example for x20, x30 or x40 series? Which one will work with go910 with nc 8.204?
Juhani, ifyou are using nc v8.3xx, do you have any problems? (execpt rc)
And tendriver I had map w&ce 815.2003 and all is functioning just fine...even lane guidance pictures :D. And if I can fix this rc issue just buying new rc...I'm happy :)
UPDATE!!!
I saw this on another forum. I hope it helps ya.
8.10.1940 maps may not be compatible with Navcore 7.90. The latest maps are 8.15.
Go here for a map 8.15 & Navcore compatibility chart:
OK I have downloaded Western_Europe_1GB_815_2024 which looks like it is compatible. What is the best way to load these files on? Just copy and paste the files I have replacing the ones which were loaded on the tomtom originally? Thanks
Ran out of edit time - I replaced the files and it worked great. Im not running 815.2024.
If I want to add extra maps on SD card what do I do about that? Thanks so much for your help so far! Btw - how did you know where to find the patched navcore file? Would be good to know for future reference. Thanks
Just add the entire extra map folder to your SD card. To use it, on your TT, go to Change Preferences, Manage Map, Change Map and select the map you wish to use.
If I start the tomtom with the SD card inserted I get an animated image of a big X on an SD card.. the tomtom wont load with it in.
All thats on the SD card is Australia_815_2086. I think it did it without anything at all on the card as well.
Do you see the button at the bottom right marked, "Thanks"? Click on it occasionally wherever you get the stuff or help you need. You have taken links to Navcores, and maps without comment to these posters.
Tendriver has given a lot of help to you and you have said thanks but next to your username it says Thanks = 0. In the future it will appear like you don't bother to thank your helpers.
Tendriver doesn't mind, but some of us just look at the number of posts made, then the number of thanks and if there aren't any, we walk on by.
It takes much less time to click on, "Thanks" than it does to source the software and post links to it.
Hi folks I am relatively new to all of this. I have two PNAs :TT720 and TT730. I have successfully upgraded both units and tried a few different navcores (Thanks to tendriver and rtenuff's posts mostly). I have tried navcore 8.02, 8.204 and 8.320 - with patched TTSystem. I haven't played a huge amount with them but can see that the the best navcore seems to be 8.204 since it has more voice recognition options. I have installed NA 8_15_2019 and it works on all the navcores stated. I also installed UK_ROI 8_15_2003 - It seems to work but the speech recognition does not seem to work. I was wondering if anyone else has tried this? Am I missing or have corrupt files somewhere? The last piece I have installed is W&CE 8_15_2034. It does not appear to have Lane guidance or speech recognition enabled. Is there a map of W&CE that does have these features? What a great place for information this is! The info is a little hard to find in this thread but most of it is there! Thanks in advance!
Is it right the TT cant read from internal memory and the SD card slot?
If that is the case then I will have to load all the files from the root of the TT onto the card (including my extra foreign maps) i'm guessing?
NO!! TT will always read Internal Memory first!! Leave your Internal as it is. Just add additional maps to the SD card. To use the additional maps, in your TT, go to Change Preferences, Manage Map, Change Map and select the map you wish to use.
re. Speech recognition. You require a complete ASR folder in root. You need a file called support_asr.dat containing the numeral 1 in that folder. Your maps need to contain cspeech files. You may not get the mic icon in 8.204 if you have a "model" text in root.
Have a look on page 66 scroll down to #983 for cams from 18.12.08 .
Im not sure which Meta txt is correct but one from below did work for me...
1# If you copy the safety cam text below and open your (Easyusetools_for Keygen) folder.
2# open the folder named (Progs).
3# open the file named (meta) then paste in the text you have copied.
4# now copy the two files you must have for speed/safety cams and paste them in the folder named (insert_meta_from_Map_here).
5# now try the (RunMeforAllAutomatic), it should do the same for your camera files as it did for your maps by creating a DCT file in the (insert_meta_from_Map_here) folder.
6# copy the files from the (insert_meta_from_Map_here) folder into your map folder.
Now try your tomtom, you might need to press the tomtom services button then safety cameras, change warning preferences to adjust the desired warning sound you want. or under p.o.i you can do the same to change the sound . All depends on which cameras you have.
Good luck.
Certainly delete Guam, if you don't need it. Go into your TT Change Preferences, Manage Maps, Change Maps, and you can see what maps are still on your device. Or with your TT hooked to your puter, in windows explorer, you can open the drive for your TT to comfirm what map folders are still there.
Tendriver, are you sure that you are right on this one???
on my TT1XL if i put a memory card in it ignores the internal memory so to get it working i have to have the program on the SD card also.
What i have done is left original internal memory intact (so its all legal if i ever need it to be) and used updated navcores and maps on SD card.
In the UK_ROI map, the icon shows up for speech input but when I select it to input an address, it hangs saying something like " Map switched to UK please wait" and just gets stick there. Thanks for the Europe Map, It's not that easy to find good links on this thread since they get taken out so fast. BTW left THANKS for both Rytentsuff and tendriver! Thanx for the Thanx. Feel free to hit the Thanks button anytime you see a post that you think deserves it. There isn't a CSPEECH folder. Only cspeech dats in your map folder. The ASR folder is in your TT root directory. If you open your TT with windows explorer, it is the second folder you will see after the art folder. There isn't one for each map. If you have voice recognition on one map, then you have what you need. There is something else amiss.
Hi tendriver
Thanks again! Actually, the version I had downloaded DID have a seperate CSPEECH folder(not sure why). In it were two CSPEECH.DAT files - cspeech_GBR.dat and cspeech_IRL.dat. The same two filenames existed in the map directory too but were of zero byte file size. Once I copied the valid ones across(from CSPEECH to map directory), everything worked perfectly! I am really doing this for my dad ...so my dad says thanks to you as well :D. Now I just need to download the Central and Western Europe ones you posted. It's taking forever since I don't have premium account. Hope I get them before the links go bad!
Hi tendriver
Thanks again! Actually, the version I had downloaded DID have a seperate CSPEECH folder(not sure why). In it were two CSPEECH.DAT files - cspeech_GBR.dat and cspeech_IRL.dat. The same two filenames existed in the map directory too but were of zero byte file size. Once I copied the valid ones across(from CSPEECH to map directory), everything worked perfectly! I am really doing this for my dad ...so my dad says thanks to you as well :D. Now I just need to download the Central and Western Europe ones you posted. It's taking forever since I don't have premium account. Hope I get them before the links go bad!
That is good news. We both learned something. Good luck with the W&CE download. Those links have been up for a good while and shouldn't good bad.
I plan to upgrade my GO510 with nc 8.204, maps 815, and should like to have my bluetooth remote fully working.
REPLY.....
With navcore 8.204 : bluetooth remote works
Thanks for this tendriver! This was a very good news :). I assume this dude has same rc that you linked for me before, or is it so? It seems this new rc is required if you have go910 with nc 8.xxx and if it works with go510, it should work with go910.
please post the speed camera#s you have installed and we can test them ;)
I can confirm that that the Safety camera work I test them on my GO510 before posting them.
As I have subscribed to the service.
All you need to do as stated on previous post
1. Copy the 'Safety Camera' files to the insert_meta_from_Map_here folder
2. Run the RunMeforDCT
3. Select the navcore version you are running
4. Select 'Run Keygen for insert_meta_from_Map_here
5. Enter device ID
6. Copy all files in the insert_meta_from_Map_here to the map folder
And your done!
Tested on numerous Tomtom's
Hope this Helps :)
Yes, same RC, a Tomtom Bluetooth unit. I have since seen several more post confirming that this unit works with NC8.xx and many different devices.
Hi there, I have just updated my TT 520 from NC V8.320 to V8.204 & I have got UK & IRE Map V815.2003, My previous NC (V8.320) was working fine with pretty much no problems. I was having the same problem when installing V8.204 as some other members where as I wasn't getting the Mic icon so i could not use Voice Commands but with thanks to Rytuneff & Tendriver I have got that sorted, I am just playing about with my tomtom and have found that My MP3 Player doesn't work, i have got some songs on the Internal in the mp3 folder but when i choose to play through internal or even through the FM Transmitter i get no sound, i can also tell that there is something wrong as when you select a song, the actual mp3 player does not come up. Any advice on this??? Thanks, Mo.
On page 6 of Change Preferences, tap Music preferences, tap Show music button in Driving View. Then in Driving/Map View, when you tap the musical note, it should take you to TomTom Jukebox, which gives you six options. Tap Song to see if your music is there. Or go to page 2 of the Main Menu, Music & Media, TomTom Jukebox, Song and see if your music shows up. I know your volume is on and turned up.
The song list appears but it does not seem to play anything when you tap on a song, neither does it take you to the player mode where you can change track etc.
When I play a song in my 720, there is NO player mode to change tracks, either with a single or an album. Connect your 520 to your puter. Open the 520 in windows explorer. Open the 520 mp3 folder and click on a song. If the song plays in windows media player, then we can rule out that it is a bad song file.
Oh, one other thing that i can think of is that from the link you gave me for the patched NC 8.204 files, the only file I used was the "ttsystem" file. I didn't copy over the "Outsourced.bin" or the "Switchfiles" or this other file which was called "mctx.dat". Do you think this has anything to do with the MP3 Player not working???
Nope, there is nothing wrong with the songs, Just opened all the songs from the mp3 folder and they all work fine.
Bummer!!! Wonder if something was missing from the 8.204 that you down loaded. Not counting the map folder, I have 31 folders & 37 files in my root directory.
Safety Alerts is a standard part of the 940 in the UK & Europe. Just for jollies, go here to see what is included and see if you are getting all of it.
Everything you need to know is already on this thread. You just have to look. To make it easier, here is a link to the archives for this thread. It is 5 pages instead of 80.
Hopefully the use of the Outsourced folder May be better understood with this text adapted from the original to English syntax. The essential meaning remains unchanged.
.................................................. .................................................. ....................................
© TTUser 2008
With Outsourced. xxxx you can save RAM. Drop the complete Folder in root.
With a File ttgo.bak, with the latest OFFICIAL Navcore-Numbers for your Device in root Home will think you have the correct version installed, not the Version that is actually installed. You only need this if your Device has the Official Version NOT this Version here.
You can create a ttgo.bak yourself with correct Numbers or use the inbuild auto Creation.
Use version.txt in root or /Config with your required Official Numbers.
Currently 22Dec '08 these are for:
TomTom GO, GO x00, GO x10, ONE 1st Edition, ONE 2nd Edition
A:7903
B:9183
Rider
A:7901
B:9181
ONE 30-Series, XL 30-Series, ONE XL, ONE 3rd Edition
A:8010
B:9369
x20,x30,630
A:8300
B:9732
With the Switchfiles in Root or in Folder Config you can configure yourself your Device.
Copy the Files from switchfiles.zip to root or /Config. Only root or Folder Config, NOT both!
TTSoff = switch TTS off
FMon = FMTransmitter on (for x10)
btoff = disable BT, if you do not need it , you may then save a little more RAM
bton = if you not have BT, enabling this will show Button for Speedcams in Menu
noqfixdel = disable Quickfix erase after you have pressed reset, if you wonder where Qfixfiles have gone.
delgns = remove (Start,supend) old TMC-Data (gns/gnsdata)
cleanflash= delete all from Flash that is possible (*.mac etc.), Settings will be lost
viewmsg = enable BootHelpMessages
noclean = disable the "remove all unneeded Files" to save RAM
rm = remove a few additional Files (these may be needed for BT) to save RAM (experimental)
runcheck = check a few "important" Files, view config.txt for Result
changedtext.txt = you can change the Text on Status/Info Screen, write your own Text in the File e.g. "Jim's TomTom"
poweroff = Device switch really completely off, not only sleeping.
SDid = write for each SD/Memory another Number inside and you can for each use your own different Mainsetting. Handy if you use more than one SD card.
usesetting= use always Settings from SD, not the in Device saved Settings
The Following
Does not apply to ALL Navs (this was adapted from 8.070)
model.txt = write one from following inside
ori = switch to your real Device
xls = switch to ONE XLS Emulation (for ones)
onettssdk = switch to ONE + TTS + SDK
onettssdk2= switch to ONE + TTS + SDK
x20 = switch to x20 Emulation
Standard is x30
cycle.txt = switch each reset between Setting from cycle.txt <> model.txt
It BacksUp also the Mainsettings between both Emus.( Emulations)
Hi Rytenuff,
I have upgraded my GO910 to Navcore 8.300.9732 and installed some 815.2003 maps and sofar all fine. I was quite a shock when starting up the 910 and it started to talk to me about no routes planned, but it was nice to realize that his function worked right away, though I din't expect it.
I also have 'patched' my HOME on the computer, but still when connecting to home it moans about errors found like :"
"ERROR: HomeBase/Unknown: Se ha producido una excepción desconocida.
@ .\framework\DeviceItemScannerThread.cpp(75)
bad allocation
in .\framework\DeviceItemScannerThread.cpp:75
Stack:
0. function errorAbortTask chrome://tthome/content/logic/ttTask.js:445
error(e);
1. function error chrome://tthome/content/ui/bindings/ttwizard.xml:1109
else if (errorNonFatal)
2. chrome://tthome/content/ui/bindings/ttwizard.xml:520
},
Time: Mon, 28 Dec 2008 16:24:33 GMT"
Would it help to make a "ttgo.bak" file and copy/paste the first bit of the "ttgo.bif" file and than changing the 'DeviceName' to 930, 'DeviceVersionHW' to 930 put in a 'fake' DeviceSerialNumber and blank the 'DeviceUniqueID' and than in the ApplicationsVersion your A:7903 and B:9183?
In the root I do have a "text" folder with a "config.txt" saying :"Current Emulation:X30 :1 Run in Save RAM Mode, Cleaning disabled."
Should this not take care of making the guy's at TT think that my 910 is another device?
Now that I'm asking I also see another weird thing in my root.
In the ttgo.bif file and in the device, I can see that my 910 is using bootloader 4.8600, but in the root I see two "system" files, one is system5.5022 and the other one is system5.5106.
Are these not bootloaders?
What are these 2 files doing there?
Can I just remove them?
Thank you for all your time and effort spend on this forum to help us out.
Cheers, joseph64
Hi msubedar,
What Navcore is that and... will it work on a GO910.
Perhaps this could be the solution.
Hi there, I installed Navcore V8.204 but you get two versions, one for the 540-740 and one for the 940, I first installed the 540-740 and i wasn't having any luck with the TomTom Jukebox so i installed the 940 Version of 8.204 and now everything works fine. I would recommend installing the 940 version on your 910 with a patched ttsystem file available from the patched NC 8.204 files that you can find on earlier threads, i got mine from tendrivers post, and then don't forget to patch your map to the new Navcore. Connect after all this is done, connect it to your computer and see what Home says, What i did when i installed the new NC was that I completely un-installed TT HOME, but beware as uninstalling it does not remove all HOME files so if you are running vista then in the search bar, type in "appdata" and go into "roaming" an inside there you may still find a TomTom folder, delete that folder, then type in "HOME" in the search bar on Vista and you will find a folder called "HOME" which will be in your Documents folder, Delete also that HOME folder, after you uninstall HOME and delete these two folders then you can re-install a fresh version of HOME from the tomtom website. After you install HOME connect your 910 with the new Navcore and Your Map and you should get updates like also Safety Camera's, QuickGPS updates, and if you want Map Share Corrections then you have to press the "Get Map Share Updates" button on HOME and those will also then be available. Home may try to give you a new Application which on mine it says NC Version 8.300, be sure not to tick that. It may seem like a lot to do but it actually very simple. First Try connecting you 910 with the new navcore and if Home is being strange then do what i said and all should work fine. If you get stuck just let me know.
You created an awful lot of unnecessary work for yourself when you uninstalled TT HOME. All you had to do was add the correct folder in the correct location. In your case it was the "Navcore.8.204.9718_tomtom.com" folder. It takes about 15 seconds from start to finish. Also you don't have to repatch your map because you change navcores. You patch a map for a device, not for a navcore.
That's why I can't be bothered to post anymore. Too many Gimmies.
I finally got it to work!!!
Thank you everyone here. I have finally got my TT One XL to work right.
What I did for my TT One XL with Navcore 8.010.9369 and bootup 5.5
The One XL doesn't see maps by themselves on the SD card. It only boots from it when the card is there. It can only go internal or external in the beginning of the boot up. With the SD card in place, it automatically chooses the SD as boot up. I could not figure any other way other to do it.
I added all the files found in TTUSers "navcore_SE_8.010.9369" folder (These files will make the card able to boot)
Then added the "ttsystem" file found inside the "SE_ttsystem.8.011.9373.go510-710-910" folder. (the one only that worked till this day for the my One XL)
Then added "Western_Europe_1GB_815_2024" folder.
Then ran "RunMeforDCT" in the "Easyusetools" folder (after adding PNA and mata files in "insert_meta_from_Map_here" and making sure the meta txt files in "Progs" is updated)
Copied the new DCT file to the Map folder.
Took out the SD card from the PC then put it in the One XL.
It boots from the SD card like a factory system and I retain the TT One XL in factory spec. Take out the card, it reboots, now I have the US and Guam maps and factory system again.
Just like I wanted!!!!!!!!:D:D:D:D:D
Thanks to everyone here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They don't 'show up' as such. On your TomTom go to services and select 'TomTom Safety Cameras'. If you haven't generated the correct .dct files or they are not there then you get a message about subscribing, if they are there but this is the first time you have selected them you get an agreement page that you must agree to. After that you get a page with 6 (I think) options - Report, Update, Change warnings, Disable/Enable, Enable auto updates and Enable report button. Depending on your Navcore version you might be able to 'see' the camera positions if you select 'Report' and then browse the map. I think with Navcores earlier than 8.204 you can see them but with 8.204 and later they don't appear here (they appear on my PDA running 7.910(9185), but didn't on a One I upgraded last week to 8.204(9718)).
However with all versions they appear on your route (if they are enabled) as well as demo routes.
In one post you say you have nav 8.300, then in another you say Nav 32**. What Navcore do you actually have??? What operating system is on your puter??
Hi Tendriver,
Sorry for the confusion, but I do have Nav.8300.9723 on the GO 910 with Maps Ver. 815.2003.
The 910 works A-OK so no problem there.
The problem is the HOME on my Win XP-Pro SP3.
Obviously I have in "C:\Documents and Settings\Jos\Datos de programa\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\q9ktmbkq.default" the patched "Navcore.8300.9732tomtom.con" folder with the dll and another 10 files in it like "chrome manifest" 8x" *.data" and "install.rdf".
nevertheless, HOME keeps complaining about the above mentioned error.
I have also tried with only replacing- overwriting the dll before, but the result was the same.
I hope that where you mention 15 seconds to have HOME working, you don't mean to just copy the patched dll to the profiles\Navcore folder as I have tried that before.
It still would be nice to get the GPS Fix and Mapshare data.
I would appreciate some suggestions from the Guru's.
Cheers, Joseph.
Make a copy of your BIF file. Paste it to your desktop. Open it with notepad.
Change: ApplicationVersionVersionNumber= ( the official latest nav for your 910) 7900 I think?
ApplicationVersion= (as above) 9180 I think?
Select: save as
Change name to: ttgo.bak
Place file in root of your device along side ttgo.bif.
On reboot your device will create a ttgo.ori file as well.
Home should see the bak file and work.
Sorry for the confusion, but I do have Nav.8300.9723 on the GO 910 with Maps Ver. 815.2003.
The 910 works A-OK so no problem there.
The problem is the HOME on my Win XP-Pro SP3.
Obviously I have in "C:\Documents and Settings\Jos\Datos de programa\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\q9ktmbkq.default" the patched "Navcore.8300.9732tomtom.con" folder with the dll and another 10 files in it like "chrome manifest" 8x" *.data" and "install.rdf".
nevertheless, HOME keeps complaining about the above mentioned error.
I have also tried with only replacing- overwriting the dll before, but the result was the same.
I hope that where you mention 15 seconds to have HOME working, you don't mean to just copy the patched dll to the profiles\Navcore folder as I have tried that before.
It still would be nice to get the GPS Fix and Mapshare data.
I would appreciate some suggestions from the Guru's.
Cheers, Joseph.
I believe I see your problem. According to the file path you gave above, you have the folder in the wrong location. It should be here:
C:\Documents and Settings\Jos\Datos de programa\TomTom\HOME\Profiles\q9ktmbkq.default\ext ensions\Navcore.8300.9732tomtom.con
Except you can't post unless you are logged in. So he could see the thanks button perfectly well.
I click Thanks on "Useful posts" not just any old post to get my thanks quota up! ;)
BTW The THANKS button is a fairly new feature. I know for a fact that I was the first to click THANKS on a BU post on 23rd May 2008. I am sure BU will verify that.
Except you can't post unless you are logged in. So he could see the thanks button perfectly well.
Don't call me a liar. I read most off all pages here and never ever seen a thank you button....ever. I click on quote then a log in. Then I'm out and reading other forums. Honest to *** I haven't seen it so don't say I did. If I did, I would have thanked those involved but I didn't so I thanked them in my posts.Wouldn't be easy to just click thanks instead? To me it makes no difference how I thank people as long as I do it but you have a different opinion. As if you want to count thanks as brownie points or something to make you feel better or bigger. It's your logic that I rather not know.
I cannot find any other place on earth that people bitch at how they would like to be thanked. Do you want it on a silver platter to? Have a nice day.
And to all those that helped... thank you even if it's not the way you want to be thanked.
If that is true, then I apologise to you. Perhaps it is the way you log in. i.e. clicking on quote, then logging on. Curious way to do it but there you are. I will try that myself after I post to see if the THanks buttons are missing from all posts.
Have a bash at finding links, uploading stuff for hours, answering the same question many many times. Making sure you have the correct information, double checking that information to the best of your ability(usually, sometimes you get lazy) typing it up and posting it.
Now, sit back and watch how the xxxx doesn't even bother to reply, and the many other xxxx's who just take what they want never to return and help others. Until they need more stuff.
If you never click the Thanks button you look like a gimme. Someone who only comes to the forum to feed themselves.
I agree about those who come here and feed off. I spent several days after the last question here to figure this issue out elsewhere on the net. Once I finally figured it out still came back and posted here on this thread just in case anyone else in the future has this same problem but I got flamed instead.
PS. This is my third time logging onto the forum in the last hour or so(in order to post). I'm sure admins can find out if it's true or not. I think i have my FF browser set not to save any info at all like cookies and stuff like that.
I have a happy installation on my 910 of 8.204 with maps North America 815.2019 and US_Canada 815.2022 (NA has IQ routes and lane info, US-Canada does not). Voice recognition works fine.
When I connect to home and request mapshare corrections and gps updates, the files apparently load correctly. But when I disconnect, turn off, then turn on my 910, the "choose language" screen appears, as though it's a new device. I have to do a pin reset once or twice to bring back my normal screen. I put a patched dll file in the appropriate folder but haven't been able to operate my 910 with home. I have installed several patched navcore upgrades and added new maps without difficulty but I don't understand why I'm having so much trouble connecting to my computer. Any suggestions?
Try deleting the entire folder Navcore.8.204.9718@tomtom.com from Home Or putting it in another folder called Store or something so Home doesn't see it and replace it with this ready made patched one.
Hey guys I don't think we should be having arguements, If we take something then we should also give in return whether it is just by saying or clicking thanks to the great guys on here who are just here to help us, they should also feel as if they are getting a reward in return so it doesn't take much to appreciate their kind work. And Plus Christmas has just passed by and we are very close to the new year so lets all be happy and cheer up.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MEMBERS IN ADVANCE!!!
Thanks & Kind Regards,
Connect your 910 to your computer, open windows explorer, open the drive for your 910 (mine happens to be on the k: drive) and you can see what is on the device. You may only need to delete and reload the Navcore.
That is good. We are making progress. Now with your 910 turned on and connected to your computer, in TomTom Home, click "Add Maps, Traffic, Voices etc", then "Maps". If it shows a map located on "My Computer", then click the add button.
I must be missing the obvious since no one else seems to be having trouble with tthome and connecting to a computer. I followed your suggestion and kept track of my steps - and still failed. Here's what I did (sorry for the detail):
1. Attach the 910 to the computer
2. Open the 910 in win explorer. .bif file has version 7903, .bak file has version 7903, ori file has version 8204
3. eject the 910
4. disconnect the 910 (yellow bar loads across bottom)
5. turn off 910
6. Copy the folder you reference above (navcore.8.204...) into the extensions folder.
7. turn on 910 (it's not connected to computer; the screen display is the language selection menu).
8. Pin reset the 910
9. turn on 910 again (yellow bar loads), legal notice splash appears, [I agree], 910 starts normally
10. turn off 910
11. Start TTHome; select "Operate My Go"; connect 910, turn on 910
12. TTHome says " Home needs to d/l file", [Yes]
13. File loads and language screen appears - same as in step 7)
While file is loading, I watch the extensions folder and see folders for v7162, v7900, and 7903 appear. Folders v7162 and v7900 are empty.
14. Select [Done]; eject; disconnect (yellow bar loads);
15. 910 waits, then displays language screen
16. Turn off 910
17. Turn on 910; language screen appears; pin reset; turn on and all is ok again although this time I have to do a pin reset twice.
I'm out of ideas on this - but at least the 910 works beautifully when I need it. I just have to keep a paper clip handy ;)
