PS. New versions of tomtom Maps will be out in less than a week if you want to wait a little ;)
Mo.
Thanks!
But I have a GO910, my navcore is 7.191 (or 7.161). I updated the navcore version to 7.901, I think, via TT Home as it didn't give me the 8.3 version but I read that navcore 7.9 doesn't support 8.15 maps. So I made a restore to the previous state as I had made a backup before updating.
So where do I get navcore 8.3 or 8.2?
And the most complicated question is how do I update my GO910 with that navcore version? This is quite a tricky task for me. :/ :(
Advice would be greatly appreciated:rolleyes:

Hi
I have GO910, too. I installed cracked NC ver 8.300 and it works perfectly. Now I can use the newest maps. You will find these cracked NC:s from these pages.

My Go 910 is running navcore 8.300.
All you need to do is to backup (copy) all your files (navcore & maps) on the Go 910 including any hidden ones to your pc via the desktop USB cable. This is just in case anything goes wrong & you have to put it back as it was.
Then delete all the navcore files on the Go 910 before copying over the new navcore 8.300 files.
Obviously, you will need to 'activate' any v815 map files to suit your device ID No., but a link to download that file is on this page I believe.
Someone else might have an active link for you to download navcore 8.300. It'll probably come down to you in a zip format, but just unzip it first before copying over to the 910.
Note - original TT navcores downloaded via TT Home can be made to work when put through yDGpatch, however certain navcores still use certain map versions. However navcore 8.300 can use the v815.2003 maps & most other v815.**** versions.
I hope that helps you.

I have made a backup of my device using TT Home. Is that ok? Or TT Home still doesn't add some files to the backup directory so it's better to Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V to a folder on my computer?
What are the navcore files? Are they those all files which are in root directory, i.e. not in maps and other folders?
Do you mean doing this http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=4092102&postcount=1800 ?

Thanks. So I think I have 2 options:
1. Download official newest navcore 7.903 and find v.8.15 maps that are supported by that navcore version e.g. 2023.
Do I still need to use the yDGpatch_1-1-0-3 tools to get the 8.15_2023 maps working in this case?
2. Downlad the cracked navcore 8.300 or 8.310 and put in my device? Should I search for 8.300 or 8.310 navcore in this case?
Will my Go 910 work fine with this program version as it is for TomTom GO x40 series only / TomTom GO x20 and x30 series only ? Will there more functions appear? And will my device be able to operate fine, i.e. there won't be the shortage of RAM memory etc.?
Thank you all in advance :)

Hey there, I have just uploaded the latest UK Postcode's for you, just put the 2 files inside the zip folder into your current zip folder over-writing the two files already in there, or you can just over-write this new folder with your old one.

Well Here is my first post!
I just got my TT One V3 last week. Running 7.903 Navcore and UK 810-1870 UK-ROI map (patched)
All going fine so far.
I see this post and its clear and understandable.
I have downloaded the files, extracted, and followed the instructions.
The problem is that whilst I can can see POI's that I have loaded from Tomtoms site, and also copied across from my PDA.
I cannot see the speed cams. I have the .ver, .ov2, and .dct files loaded in the Map folder. (the dct file generated OK)
Oh and I did use the meta.txt file from the Camera download.
I follwed the instructions, but cant see where I am going wrong.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks
PS... Great Forum... such helpful people.

These Speed Cams, are not like normal POI's, you can only see them as a POI on certain Navcore's (Firmware) I have found.
PS. Do you know if they are working? Try a Demo route on your TT where you know there is a camera, would do a route that is also on the correct side of the road where the camera is and see if you get a warning.

Thanks msubedar, really appreciate your help. :)
Thanks Mo... It didnt help... But it did... If you know what I mean:).
Have got some non TT Speed Cam POI's off a pal, not the latest, but they do work, so it looks like the TT ones have an issue with a TT One V3 - Navcore 7903. (or I have screwed it up)
Dont know if this helps anyone, or if anyone can prove its not the case. (I wont be upset if someone proves me wrong).
Again Thanks, I've read so many pages on this forum this weekend, I am going to have a lie down in a dark room!
Cheers... Its much appreciated
Next job is to figure out how to get the above posters Post Codes into the machine (No ZIP file on Navcore 7903) So where do they go?
Good fun isnt it

Ok with the postcodes, basically very simple, all you do is download this link: http://www.2shared.com/file/4830299/dfce340a/zip.html
And the folder "zip", just put it into the root of your tomtom where all the other folders and contents are, for example where your map folder is, but it does not go into any folder! Glad you think its fun, you get to learn alot.

Thanks. So I think I have 2 options: - Am I right?

Ok mate, Best advice for your 910 is to Upgrade to NC V8.310, Your 910 will be fine with it and you will also have more flexibility as to which maps you want to install and more features will be available. Link for NC: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=4087872&postcount=1773
How To Install:
Make a Backup of your tomtom first incase.
Once you have downloaded the new NC, Delete all your file contents from your tomtom so you start fresh and copy over the new NC contents into the root of your tomtom card.
Then copy over the patched ttsystem file which is in one of the folders in the download link, over-write it with the one in your tomtom. If you don't do this then your map will not work.
Then copy over the Map folder into the root of your tomtom, NOT into any other folder!
From your map folder copy over 2 files which will be called something like "Western_and_Central_Europe.pna" & "Western_and_Central_Europe-19.meta" (MAKE SURE IT IS NOT THE .meta.dct FILE!!!), paste the 2 files into the Keygen folder called "insert_meta_from_Map_here".
Also In the Keygen folder you will find a notepad file called DeviceID, in this notepad file write your Device ID correctly all uppercase and with no spaces. (When you run the keygen you may have enter your Device ID in manually)
Then run the command program called "RunMeforDCT" and follow the options - (It will normally be option #1 then option #1 again)
After that is done, from the "insert_meta_from_Map_here" folder, copy over the newly created ".meta.dct" into your Map folder and your map will now work.
If you get stuck then give me a shout. Good Luck.

I am a little confused on if I have to patch an existing and working
fine navcore if I add new maps that I patch?
I really needed a easy to follow how to if all I want to do
is upgrade maps.
Once I learn how to do that then I can learn upgrading nav.
Then I can move on from there.
So much great info but it's got my head spinning!
For starters, I have a 720 running latest nav and maps
for North America. If a new map should come out
and I down load it here, what would the steps be
to add it to my 720
Thanks, this forum is awesome!

Hey Gadget, 8.310 will work fine on your 510, With the 8.204 version NC I found that the 540-740 had some problems and so I changed to the 940 version. I would recommend doing the same as I am using now 8.310 (940 Version) and it is great.
Once you have downloaded it, from the basicpack folder of the new NC, just copy and paste the contents over your 8.204 contents and let it all overwrite and just add the new patched ttsystem file and your ready to go.

Hey there, some of the UK postcode databases flying around also have 2 other files which includes the netherlands postcode database which boosts up the size of the zip folder to around 10 Megabytes, Maybe thats what your talking about, because I doubt in the matter of 6 months the TT UK database of postcode will increase with over 3 megabytes of postcode data, I have only uploaded the Latest UK Postcode's but if you feel you have a newer one then please feel free to upload it :)
Thanks,
Mo.

Good Luck.

These were good instructions. The only problem, I have noticed, is that the remote control won't work, but it is possible to buy new one, which will work.

Yes, it will fit, after you remove your current map folder. You also can put it on a SD card, if you want more than one map.
how do i install it on a mem card, do i just copy and paste the map folder to the root?

Yes just put it in the root of the SD Card, make sure you make a meta.dct file for it with you Device ID if you have not already done so. Also accompanied with a Patched "ttsystem" if you have not already got one for you Navcore.

Thanks, but I still can't get my tomtom working :/
here's what I did:
Made a backup.
Copied ALL files and folders that were in navcore_SE_8.310.9760_Basicpack to the root directory of my TT.
Copied ONLY ttsystem file to the root directory of my TT from the SE_ttsystem_8.310.9760.
Copied the Western_and_Central_Europe map folder to the root directory of my TT, then patched the map successfully and copied the "meta.dct" file to the mapfolder on my TT.
But when I unplugged the device from my PC, it didn't load: what I seen was the usual picture when I pressed the Power button, then a green loading line at the bottom loaded and finally a black screen with a tomtom logo ( two handprints and "tomtom" was written below) that stays all the time. :( And that's it. Just waiting for 10 minutes didn't help.
What did I do wrong?

Hey there, i would suggest trying to do it again but delete everything off your tomtom internal and then start from scratch and copy over the NC contents from Basicpack and then the patched ttsystem file. Also, the 8.310 comes in 2 versions, 540-740 and a 940 version, try the 940 version if you have not got that one already.
Good Luck & Let me know how you get on,
PS. I am pretty sure it is not the way you are creating your meta.dct file for your map otherwise your 910 would have come up with a message alerting you that your map is not for your device, I think it is the way you are installing the NC.

Hey,
I deleted absolutely everything from my tomtom ( E:\ ), and tried doing the same thing 2 times, but in vain. ://
At first attempt I downloaded the OFFICIAL navcore 8.310 for GO 940 that I found earlier in this thread, patched the ttsystem file with yDG patch and put it into the root directory of my tomtom where it should be.
Then I patched the Eastern_Europe_8.15.2003 map and put the meta.dct into the mapfolder in my tomtom device. Next I unplugged the device from the PC and turned it off. When switched it on, the Tomtom device loaded and there was written "Loading. Please wait" and then again I only saw tomtom logo and written word "tomtom" in the black background.
At the second attempt I did everything again as you've written in your previous post. And nothing.
What could cause this.?

With the NC download, you have 4 folders, the basickpack folder which is the NC then another folder includes the ttsystem file, try using that file instead of patching your own.

maybe you mean there are four archive files?
there is no ttsystem file in the basickpack archive file. it is only in the SE_ttsystem_8.310.9760.rar .
and should I extract the ASR archive and put its contents onto my device? or maybe only the ASR folder is enough?

You cannot patch a navcore with yDGpatch to on a device that the navcore was not meant for, ie 8.310 on a GO 910. You have to use a patched ttsystem file.

Its more hassle for you but at least you can determine if they have done their bit on here before they get to download it.
It will also stop it being any use to others who get hold of the link....unless of course they get hold of the password..lol

I think maybe a better solution is to be more selective in who you help.
It is often easy to spot the users. Sometimes by their posting style. Gimme.
Looking at their previous posts, seeing if they have bothered to respond to the help they "plead " for once they get it.
Posters asking for solutions which have already been posted just a few posts ( not pages) before. They want to be spoonfed. They don't want to spend any effort in looking for things themselves. Unfortunately they all too often get exactly that.
First time posters who have just joined that day but ask for answers and re-posts of maps etc. like they are entitled to it as if they have been here contributing for ages.
e.g. "Anyone got a new UK map?" The answer should be, "Yes, thanks for asking". Not an immediate post of links and a detailed description of how to install it.
If you are willing to act like a doormat you will be used as one.
I have been guilty of posting stuff without waiting for someone to ask for it in the past.
No more.

Good avatar pictopicto - I was born 'n' bred in beeston.
Agreed though about some way of stopping leechers. I might not post updates very often but like to think I give valid feedback if any issues arise regards when I test it. Some on here simply want the latest stuff without any contribution. Would making a mandatory contribution say of £5 / $5 / 5 euroes via paypal or whatever possibly deter the true leechers.

Mo
Seem to be working, thanks one again for your help & everyone else who has me on this forum.

I have NavCore version 8.010 for TT ONE XL device. Is there a more recent version that I need to patch into the device? What's added features if any?
Thanks,
Samuel.
Can you not just read some of the previous posts or even do a bit of research yourself?

Hey Gadget, 8.310 will work fine on your 510, With the 8.204 version NC I found that the 540-740 had some problems and so I changed to the 940 version. I would recommend doing the same as I am using now 8.310 (940 Version) and it is great.
Once you have downloaded it, from the basicpack folder of the new NC, just copy and paste the contents over your 8.204 contents and let it all overwrite and just add the new patched ttsystem file and your ready to go.

Use the command TomTom Map Patcher (Free Edition).exe /ResetConfig
or create a shortcut with the option /ResetConfig after the "TomTom Map Patcher (Free Edition).exe"

Did you change anything in the tomtom files? What device do you have? Sometimes doing a soft-reset fixes it if you say it was just working ;)
Anymore detailed explanation, does the green bar load?, red cross etc, get stuck on tt logo at startup????

YES....... that did the trick.
I had just figured a way around it as you posted that.
my problem seemed to be that i unzipped the original files in to my tomtom folder on a slave hard disc (drive H) and not on to my main hard disc (drive C).
When i copied all over to drive C it threw up an error but worked ok.
Your new file however works direct from my slave hard disc (H).
Thanks BU excellent support as ever.
Hope the above helps.

The only thing in mappatch.zip is the ttsystem file. It is also in the SE_ttsystem_8.310.9760 folder, so there is no need to download mappatch.zip.

Also, the 8.310 comes in 2 versions, 540-740 and a 940 version, try the 940 version if you have not got that one already.
Hmmm...I have same problem with my go910. I deleted old nc folder (had nc8.204) and extract this navcore_SE_8.310.9760_Basicpack to the root menu. How do you know which version do you have? I need this 940 version and I downloaded all the stuff here http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=4087872&postcount=1773 and I did everything by the book....and my go freezes. I noticed that when I use my go via TThome, it says that I have Go520, I wonder why. When I put this .dll file to the TThome folder, was it just this one file which was enough? Any ideas? I will keep trying to get this nc 8310 to work..

Hmmm...I put the nc8.204 back to my go910 because this nc8310.xxx didn't work at all. But when I use go via TThome it still says that I have Go520, and the weird part is, I have Bootloader v.10012. I think it was 5xxxxsomething before. Lol, am I missing something or is my device f***ed up?

Hi Mo,
Have gone though installing navcore 8.310 (940 Version) again as per your instructions. But all I get now is it loads OK I can open the device info screen but as soon as i touch the map area it freezes. I am running maps v8.15.2003 could this be the problem.....

Edit: Now my go910 tells it has bootloader v.5.5106 and it's knowing it's a go910, so this is good. But TThome still thinks it is go520. I put this nc8.204blaablaa.com file to the tthome folder, but it wont help. If I use go via tthome, home changes my settings (car icon for example) So, what i'm doing wrong?
mmm after updating to the new maps, lost the option of voice input for the destination??? it's greyed out.... help!!
Also if the camera data is not viewed as a POI, when do you see them?? confused....
system is 720 and running nav 301 core/patched. also done a camera update and inputed files in map folder.

Firstly with Map version 815.2096, Voice Input will not work, Check this:
Map Compatability Chart: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...postcount=1603 (http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=4051827&postcount=1603) (CSpeech)
Secondly Camera's will be viewable when you get close to one, Create a navigation and in the route summary, click on the "Route Demo" option (I would speed the % up to 500%. Also i would create a route on the correct side of the road where the camera is, and then as you get close to the camera it should warn you.
Hope this helps,
Mo.

Hi Mo,
Have gone though installing navcore 8.310 (940 Version) again as per your instructions. But all I get now is it loads OK I can open the device info screen but as soon as i touch the map area it freezes. I am running maps v8.15.2003 could this be the problem.....
Regards
Gadget
Hey Buddy, the map should not be the problem, The only problem from my side is that I have not got my 910 for a few days so I can't check and test it for myself with 8.310. I remember having the same problem on my 500 where it all used to load and get to the map screen and you could also view the Device Info but it would freeze when I tap to get into the Menu so I just changed the Navcore to 8.204 which that works fine on.
I'm not sure if changing the NC to the 8.310 (540-740) version will fix it cause again i can't test it on my 910. This is also not the first time I am hearing someone having problems with the 910 on 8.310. My 520 is running the 940 version of 8.310 perfectly though.
Sorry about not being able to give you a proper answer, I would recommend returning to the 8.204 as their is not a huge difference between the two in terms of running it on the 910. If someone has a solution to this problem please stick it on here.
Thanks,
Mo :)

You are doing nothing wrong!! Because you have a patched TT HOME folder on your puter, when you click on "Operate my GO" in TT HOME, then click in the lower right blue section, you get the "Status Summary" page. If you will notice, there is a red box that says "DEMO". Because of this, in TT HOME, Your car icon will always be the blue widget, bootloader will be 1.0012, and identifying you device as a 520. This is normal.

Ok I have read through about 40 of these pages. I am running on my TomTom 710 Firmware 8.010 and Map 815.2022, Boot 5.5010 What I am trying to figure out is how to get TTS to work. When I power up it says something about save ram and emulator NO BT NO TTS. For the Navcore. I attempt to enable advance lane guidance but it says that is not available on this map. I also was having a problem at one point i have nice polished buttons the next i have old looking ones like it keeps reverting back to an older firmware even though it doesnt say it. Thanks for any help, I just can't figure it out I have tried everything I can think of.

Hi Mo thanks for the shorter version of only twelve links to the above maps. But i seem to have a problem unzipping the rar files. The Password : demonfatal worked fine to enable me to get all twelve files. But when i use it to unzip the lot it gets near 99% then says wrong password. Can you or any others confirm that it needs a password to unrar the maps. Just so you know my version of winrar (RAR 3.42 32-bit console version) does seem to have the odd glitch lately in failing to open zipped files, So the problem could be at my end.
Thanks again.

copy cspeech.dat files from a similar map into your new map folder and the icon lights up!!! bingo!
have the latest camera file from 12-2--09 and the created dct file.... but they dont appear :-(
Is it possible to use cspeech function on TomTom 7 version for Windows Mobile ?
Thanks.

I don't think Rytenuff could have written an easier way of installing camera's on a TT, it should work fine if you have correctly patched them and installed them, If your talking about not being able to see them on the Map as a POI then that is normal on some Navcore's.
Just for you I have written how to install them in a different way to Rytenuff's, even this way of patching cams works fine for me.
1) Download easytools keygen which can be found on page 1 of this thread if you have not already got it: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=3606913&postcount=2
2) Then copy over all the camera files into the folder called "insert_meta_from_Map_here".
3) From your map folder copy over 2 files which will be called something like "Western_and_Central_Europe.pna" & "Western_and_Central_Europe-19.meta" (MAKE SURE IT IS NOT THE .meta.dct FILE!!!).
4) You will find a Notepad file called "DeviceID", in there enter your full Device ID all upper-case and with no spaces.
5) Then run the command program called "RunMeforDCT" and follow the options - (It will normally be option #1 then option #1 again but just re-check depending on which Navcore you have).
6) After that is done, from the "insert_meta_from_Map_here" folder, copy over all the camera files, NOT ANY OF YOUR MAP FILES!!!
7) Paste them into your map folder and your done!
PS. TO ALL OF YOU WHO KEEP ASKING WHY CAN'T (CAN@T) I SEE THEM ON THE MAP? YOU CAN'T SEE THESE CAMERA'S AS A NORMAL POI ON SOME NAVCORE'S SO PLEASE DON'T ASK WHY CAN'T I SEE THEM. IF YOU WANT TO TEST IF THEY WORK THEN BELOW IS A METHOD OF CHECKING.
Create a navigation and in the route summary, click on the "Route Demo" option (I would speed the % up to 500%. Also i would create a route on the correct side of the road where the camera is, and then as you get close to the camera it should warn you.
Hope this helps,
Mo.

Ok you know that old saying if it aint broke dont try to fix it.........
Well i have been running my One XL on v8.203 for ages with no problems really.
Lane images work and all other normal stuff.
only thing that doeasnt work is TTS but i can live without that......
So i keep seeing all these newer navcores appearing and thought today i have to change to a newer one...
Why did i start????
Firstly i have tried all kinds of versions but cannot seem to get them to work. A few seem to work but then freeze when going through menu.
So 2 questions, if i may.
What is my One XL? is it x20 or x30
IS there any point putting on a newer navcore and if so which do i install.
What i would really like is a version that will allow the lane images to work AND the TTS to work, does that exist?
Thanks
rytenuff

It's a widescreen ONE.
SE 8.204 v1.5 is the least problematic. It includes an older ttsserver ( note ttsserver not ttsystem) file which will enable use of the VocalizerTTS voices. if you are happy to listen to the US English accent.
The screen freezes when you touch it for most people with later Navs like 8.320 and 8.310.

Just replying to your Private Message you sent me on here because I couldn't fit it all on a PM, even though we do encourage new members to do some research, i'll help you out this time
Firstly With your 815.2022 you will not get ALG, Check this Chart I have made for compatible maps: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=4051827&postcount=1603
Secondly you will need a Keygen (Easytools) which can be found here: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...postcount=1876 (http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...postcount=1876)
The new NavCore can be found here, this will enable you to get new feature's but you can still use your 8.010 if you wish: http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/show...postcount=1773 (http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=4087872&postcount=1773)
North America 815 2019 can be found here: (Includes ALG & CSpeech)

------------------------------------
Make a Backup of your tomtom first incase.
Once you have downloaded the new NC, Delete all your file contents from your tomtom so you start fresh and copy over the new NC contents into the root of your tomtom card from the basicpack folder.
Then copy over the patched ttsystem file which is in one of the folders in the download link, over-write it with the one in your tomtom from the basickpack folder if there was one in there. If you don't do this then your map will not work.
Then copy over the Map folder into the root of your tomtom, NOT into any other folder!
From your map folder copy over 2 files which will be called something like "North_America_815_2019.pna" & "North_America_815_2019.meta" (MAKE SURE IT IS NOT THE .meta.dct FILE!!!), paste the 2 files into the Keygen folder called "insert_meta_from_Map_here".
If you get stuck then give me a shout bia PM or here should be fine, you may get a quicker response if I am not around. Good Luck,
Oh and please don't forget to say thanks wherever you get help and links, it takes a lot of effort and time from us.

I have TT GO 920. Can I use the latest maps 815.2022 for US posted on the previous page for TTone, or are the maps model-specific???
Thanks in advance.

Sorry guys, I only helped him cause he sounded in desperate need for the help, but I do agree that a bit more research would have been better.
His original message to me below.
"I am sorry to have to send you a private message like this but I am in desperate need of your assistance. I have read about 40 pages on the forum Maps v8 but can not tell what is going on. Some of the answers don't point to the particular question they are asking and I am overall just very lost, now my problem.
I am on a GO710 I have updated the firmware with the patched
App 8.010
USA and Canada v815.2022.
OS: 3024
Boot 5.50101
GPS v1.21
When I start up the TT it states that SE version run in SAFE RAM Mode.
I have the option for Advance Lane Guidance but when I select it is says it does not exist for my map.
I would like to have advance lane guidance working and if also possible TTS ability. I have download all sorts of Navcores I have 8.010.9369.dll I also have the NAVCORE8 rar from this forum that put 8 rar parts which broke down into any number of rar folders. I am just not sure what files need to be put on the TT to get advance lane guidance and/or TTS. If you could please please please assist me in figuring out this problem I would GREATLY appreciate your time and effort. THANK YOU!!!"
Sorry once again,
Kind Regards,
Mo.

I did. I have tried installing v.8.310 for 940 navcore for my GO910 with the help of msudaber but that navcore didn't work 4 me. So I did searching for 8.204 navcore in this thread and all I found was 4 dead links.

Well as the message stated I searched over 40 pages of this thread for the answers and was unsuccessful I also have attempted at getting this to work for the last week, as well i successfully updated the map to 815.2022 and FW to 8.010 I just didn't know why I wasn't successful at the ALG or TTS, so I selected 3 who I felt highly qualified individuals to request help. They could have easily ignored me as 1 of the 3 did and complain. However they chose to take their time and good nature to help me out something I am GREATLY appreciative of.

Does anyone know how to succesfully transfer favourites from one map to another.....say for example when you add a new map???
I have transferred the mapsettings.cfg file but that only seems to transfer my home location and not my favourites.
i know i could do it the POI route but i prefer using favourites.
Does it matter if you are transferring from a UK map to a new Western Europe map for example? i.e. does it have to be same map for it to work?
any help appreciated.

You don't know anyone here (who provide any help). You don't ask complete strangers questions as if you have some entitlement to answers.
No. Instead you preface your request with something like, "I would be grateful..." or "Please can..."
and end with, "Thank you".

Lol, I had to try again this nc8.310.xxx and now it works! :D Thanks to you dsa8310. Probably the ttsystem seemed to be thing. If you algram want to try too here is what i did:
1. Download navcore_8.310.9760.go940.cab from here http://www.starbuck.com.au/wordpress/?p=380
2. Download ttsystem here http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/showpost.php?p=4160587&postcount=2152
3. Extract the navcore_8.310.9760.go940.cab file over the top of your TomTom
4. Change ttsystem
This dude behind link #1 said that he didn't update the bootloader to 5.5112 because he was still trying to confirm it will be ok with the older tomtom’s. He informed to "just delete the file called “system” located in the navcore_8.310.9760.go940.cab file and your bootloader will not be updated."
I did this and my go910 was updated. I tried to use 910 via tomtom Home, but when i try to use tt, tthome wants/needs to download some new software to get go910 work. I denied it. I put this homexxx.dll file to the TThome folder, but it seems like it won't work. I would be very happy if someone has solution to this, please. Thank you!

Requesting assistance if anyone would care to give it. I have read through 120 pages on here and I am still going to find the answer. I am running TomTom 710 8.310 map NA 815.2019 I have advance lane guidance although haven't tried it. Voice Recognition, although doesn't work the best. My only thing I have been unsuccessful at is the text to speech for streets. I do have LoquendoTTS folder in my root director on the TT but no voices and I have not been able to find the voices. I hear LoquendoTTS is the best (so i've read) but this is my final task to get my TT running just like I want. Anyone able to assist me in locating an ENGLISH Voice? I thank you in advance.

IQ & ALG are both part of NA 815.2019. To confirm that IQ is turned on, on your 710, go to Preferences, Planning preferences, Always plan fastest route, then click IQ Routes ans set it like you want it.

With your 710 on & connected to your puter, in TomTom Home, click on "Add Maps, Traffic, Voices etc", Voices, Computer Voices. There are 2 US English Voices & 2 UK English Voices. Click the ones you want & click "Add". They will be installed on your device.

No, when you unzip, you will have a bin folder, a data folder, a default7.session file & a LicenseCode7.txt file. Just paste them in the LoquendoTTS folder and say OK to any overwrites.

Ok Tendriver I followed your instructions but still no joy on hearing anything. Is it normal to not hear the voice until I actually need it? I test it and nothing I even tried to set it up to read tutorials but nothing. I will attempt to wipe and reload everything tomorrow. Is it possible that my TT Home not recognizing the software could also cause this. If I get Home to see the FW then maybe I could just add my own voices. I have reloaded the Navcore 8.310.9760@tomtom.com file from your earlier post, no joy there either. Any ideas on either fix?
Thank you for your time and efforts.

if you are using the Europe map, even if you're just interested in the UK, must you copy every camera to be patched?
or can you jyst use the Safety_Cam_UK_TomTom.ov2 & Safety_Cam_UK_TomTom.ver files on there own with the new .dct and replace the old ones in the map folder?

I see no reason why you can't just use the UK files with a new .dct. If you have the .ov2 & .ver files for the other countries in you map folder, you might as well delete them, since they won't work with the new .dct.

Explain "my TT Home not recognizing the software".
Sorry TT Home did not show the accurate map and would not allow me to download Cspeech voices because it didn't believe my device was capable.
Now I have an error that says: Error when contacting server: you have an invalid version of the TomTom application installed on your TomTom device. To use Home you need to install the correct version of the TomTom application.

You only need to have the relevant speedcam files in the map directory e.g. DE_AT_CH just requires the IT, DE and AT speedcam files, Southern Africa, just the ZA ones and so on.
Oh and thanks for posting here, I often forget to to do, spending more time on Russian and East European forums. Please also make a note that the speedcam files are directional now and do not show up unless on the same side of the road

If you have Vista, the correct & valid NC for you device should be here:
C:\Users\yourname\Documents\TomTom\HOME\Downloads\ complete\program
As long as you have a valid NC in that folder, TT HOME will not tell you that you have an invalid NC on your device.

NOPE, that is where your Navcore.x.xxx.xxxx@tomtom.com (Navcore.x.xxx.xxxx@tomtom.com) dll folder is. That isn't what I'm referring to. You have a TomTom download folder. If you don't know where it is, start TT HOME, then Tools, Preferences, Folder Preferences and Downloads. Follow the route shown to the Download folder. In it is a "complete" folder, in which is a "program" folder, in which should be a TomTom application folder which is the last official NC for your device that you downloaded.

You are most welcome, tas81685.
(From my own experience, now you can remove unwanted voices with TTHome. However, you won't be able to put them back in place with TTHome. Adding (computer) voices can be done only manually, using the (free) TT computer voice cabs)
(Another tip, just in case: I think that the most straightforward way of patching any version of the "operate my TT" software is to let TTHome download it and then use yDGpatch to patch its (single) innermost .dll file)

For those having difficulty with cracking a map.
Start your TomTom. Touch on the clock usually bottom left. now touch on the word, "version"
Look for the device id. It will be something like AD4RT 2EHY4
Copy that down somewhere as you will need it later.
Make sure you write it all uppercase and omit the space like AD4RT2EHY4 (10 figures in all)
Take a note of the App you have installed (next line down) if that is the App you will be using e.g. App 7.903 etc.
.................................................. .................................................. .....
First get WinRAR and install it.
Depending on how large a map it is, it may have anywhere from 2 to 18 or more parts. If you place ALL the parts of your map into one folder, right click on any single part and select from the menu "Extract files", WinRAR will unRAR them all and join them all up into one folder.
Now get latest EasyUseTools as it will contain the latest codes (meta.txts) required to patch the map.
If it is zipped or RARed then UnRAR it as above.
Open it up but LEAVE IT EXACTLY LIKE IT IS! Don't go moving any folders or files about.
You will see a folder named, "Easyusetools_for Keygen_Mapcheck_Metacheck_ttsystempatcher"
Open it.
You will see a folder named, "insert_meta_from_Map_here".
Open it.
Once you have done that, open your MAP folder and look for two files named META and PNA.
Copy and paste them into the folder named, "insert_meta_from_Map_here".
Look for a text file named, "Device ID" and write into it the 10 figure device id you got at the beginning into it. (all uppercase and omit the space) NOW JUST LEAVE IT WHERE IT IS!
Click on the icon ( Windows NT Command Script ) "RunMeforDCT"
Read the prompts and press the number for the proper choice of the App (Navcore) you are using.
Usually 1.
Read the prompts and press the number for the proper choice .
1. again
A file named .DCT will be made in the "insert_meta_from_Map_here". folder.
Copy that .DCT file into your map folder and the map is now patched ( for YOUR) device.
Note. Pirated maps ( ones you have not bought for your device ) WILL NOT run unless your App (NAVCORE) is cracked.
EasyUseTools will NOT patch your later version App (NAVCORE) i.e. the ones you would want to use for the 815.xxxx maps.

Thanks,
Mo :)
Sorry been a while have tried the update as you told me and at 1st it did not work but have since tried again and now Navcore work fine on my Go510.
cheers fo all the help :)

@rytenuff #2233,
I think that you have eased the reading of the lead a lot for the newcomers.
I think all will appreciate it.
Cheers, Joseph

Hi guys
just got my new sd card for my go720. got the truck map 8.15 2112 installed NC 8.070. onto the sd card and it works great. :)
only thing i was wondering about ive tried the truck map with NC 8.204 as i prefer darker look of the 8.204 navcore as i work at night mostly . done all the patching etc but i get error no maps found when the tomtom's started.
take it that this map will not be compatible with v8.204 NC ?
is there anyway i can have 8.070 looking like the 8.204 dark look instead of the bright white lol or maybe another version of NC that will work with the truck map with the dark look ?
thanks in advance for any help

Hey, 8.204 is not a compatible NC for the TRUCK map. To change the colour scheme, connect your 720 to TT HOME & go to "Add Maps, Traffic, Voices etc" then click on More till you see the "Colour Schemes" option and try your luck with adding another colour scheme from there and set that as the new scheme in you 720 preferences, Hope this helps.

You are correct. Does NC 8.070 not have the option of changing the brightnes, both Day & Night, in Preferences, Brightness preferences??

yeah just tried it m8 and it only changes the map colour and not the menu.
yes it does have brightness and day and night but the menu's are still a grey color you know what i mean :) not like the near black color in NC 8.204. weird how you cant change that eh you would think you would be able to ?
if only it was as easy as copying some file from 8.204 to 8.070 for the menu colour eh ? :)

If you have "near black" menus in 8.204, it is because it is in "Night View".

Go to Change Preferences. In the upper left corner of page 1 of 8, if it says, "Use day colors", then it is in "Night View". Click on that icon to change to "Day View". You don't have to change your color scheme.
