You need these files too. Copy them into your LoquendoTTS folder where your files from the Luca.cab are. Allow it to overwrite files if it wants to.

I would appreciate if you can post new links for v8.10 firmware and UK+ ROI 8.10 maps. I will keep a close watch to get hold of the links before they expire.
Can you also provide the step by step guide to upgrading the firmware on GO520.

1) I should copy the version 8 files on to the root directory of the go520 and by doing this will it replace all the exisitng files? or am I supposed to delete the exisitng files and then copy the V8 files.
2) Tomtom Home should be running or not.

i will upload a complete firmware pack for Go520 (Firmware V8.10) Patched all you need to do is download, extract and copy to your device, then copy the new v8 maps onto the device. run the keygen for the selected maps and have fun....:D
BuMobles,
Thanx again for the keygen link. If understand you correctly, after I have copied the 8.10 FW & NA 8.10 into my TT 720, ALL I have to do is run the keygen. There are several keygens in Keygen V2.3. Which one do I run? Thanx again!!!

The simplest method is to copy the META.file and PNA.file from the MAP (NOT from the meta.txt) into the folder called, "insert_meta_from_Map_here" (NOTE Bu has left an old META and PNA and a DCT file in there to show you which type of files to use but you will need to delete them out of there first)
Now click on the, "RunMeforDCT" command script.
Select 1. then,
Select 1. again.
Copy the newly created DCT file out of the "insert_meta_from_Map_here" folder and into your Map folder. ( and the META and PNA files if you dragged them in there instead of copying them)
Job done.
Incidently the files that Bu left in the "insert_meta_from_Map_here" don't have a meta.txt map entry.
You will get a "fake" message for these files if you try to create a DCT file for them. Ignore and delete them before running your North America map.

No worky is rather vague. go over these instructions and post where it fails.
Make a folder for your map and name it WITHOUT spaces. Like North_America_810_1907 and leave it on your PC for the moment.
Look inside that folder and locate the files called META and PNA
Copy both files to the folder "insert_meta_from_Map_here" ( remove the ones left there by Bu first)
Now click on the, "RunMeforDCT" command script.
You should see 3 options
Select number 1 which says Run it for Navcore 8.010 and higher.
You then get 2 options
Select 1 which says Run Keygen for insert_meta_from_Map_here.
You should see a DCT file appear in the insert_meta_from_Map_here folder.
Copy all the files in the insert_meta_from_Map_here into your map folder.
Place your map folder in the root of your TomTom i.e. NOT inside any other folder.

Make sure the meta.txt text document is in the folder called Progs.
There should be an entry in it which says:
; North_America_810_1907
E0 30 FA B1 C7 A7 65 FD 91 EF 13 A2 87 FB FC 46 North_America-15.meta

Rytenuff,
I carefully followed all of the directions above & successfully created a .dct file, which I copied to the map folder (North_America_2GB_v8.10)along with the .pna & .meta files.
I deleted the entire device internal memory and copied BuMoblies 8.10 firmware into it. Due to a lack of remaining space on the internal memory, I copied the map folder onto a 2GB SD. Shut down device & inserted SD card. Booted device and received the following: Problem with map You cannot use this map on this device: North_America :(

Rytenuff,
There APPEAR to be 2 different NA 8.10 maps. North America_ 2GB v8.10 for the TT730 device & North America v8.10 for the TT930 device. If this is correct, are the metas different?

Hi thanks for your reply. is there some good instructions as i seem to get confused what files to put were. What needs to be changed in the meta.txt, etc.
does the map have to be in the same folder as the keygen. i have tried using the ttsystem_Patcher but it says to old or already patched.
i have read through some instructions and ran the RunMeforAllAutomatic but i never seem to get the right combintion for this to work.
thanks

OK, so maybe this is my problem also. I have a 720. I "CUT" everything from the internal memory. I copied the 8.10 FW into the internal memory. I created the .dct file using the correct meta. The map folder has the .pna, .meta & created .dct file in it. Due to lack on internal memory space, I put the map folder on a 2 GB SD card. I get the infamous "can't use this map" red screen. I see both ttsystem files in the 8.10 FW. Which ttsystem do I use & which one do I delete? BTW, I sincerely appreciate everyone's efforts on this web site.
Cannot change car symbol ! My is 720
After install the patched system, I discovered that the car symbol cannot be changed.
Once when u press the car symbol button, the device hang and after a while , it reboot automatically, and the car symbol remain uncahged.

IF you downloaded both parts to the same location, extracting part 1 SHOULD actually extract part 1 & part 2 at the same time. There should NOT be a need to extract part 2 seperately.

The latest release of TT 7 for Windows Mobile is 7.451 (9033). Currently there is no version 8.x available for the Windows Mobile platform, nor have I seen any announcements or rumours. Version 7. for Windows Mobile is not commercially available and has only surfaced due to it being 'ripped' from HTC's Diamond. TomTom's website has absolutely no information regarding TT 7 for WM.

Hello to all, my first post follows:
I recently purchased the TomTom Go 530T for my wife and decided to take it upon myself to install some extra maps as we were off to France. #
After some searching i managed to download the right maps from torrents, searched for using the ubiquitous pirate bay. (still seeding, ratio = 1.3)
I then did some reading and downloaded the easy use tools to create the necessary dct files that accompany the maps so they can be used on my TomTom.
I'm now up against my final hurdle and i can't quite clear it. After further research after the maps wouldn't work on my 530T, i discovered that you need a cracked version of the 'ttsystem' file as you can no longer patch the navcore 8.010 version.
I've scoured every forum i can find, and all the links are too old and TomTom have faithfully requested them to be removed from all the large upload sites. As such i would kindly request if someone could post another new link to a cracked version of the navcore 8.010 ttsystem file.
Thanks
As an aid to others who may happen upon this thread, below is a brief list of instructions to allow you get other maps working on your new TomTom Go Sat nav, it's not great but hopefully it's succinct and makes sense.
Search for and download the additional maps you want for your TomTom unit, for example visit the piratebay and search for TomTom Maps Europe.
Many of these downloads will come with the necessary keygen/patcher required, if not do a search for a TomTom map patcher at the same sorts of sites.
Using the 'easyusetools' you need to follow the instructions, with a little decoding. Essentially, you need to locate the *.Bif (eg ttgo.bif) file on the tomTom itself.
You can open this file (copied to your computer for safety) in notepad etc and you will need to note down the '[DeviceUniqueID]'.
Next copy the .meta file from your maps folder into the folder that says, 'insert_meta_from_map_here'. Relatively obvious.
Run the 'runmeforDCT.cmd' program and follow the instructions, using your device ID (which can also be written into the 'DeviceID.txt' file in that folder).
This will generate a DCT file associated with the map and ID of your TomTom. You need to copy that to the map folder which you will transfer to your TomTom (best to store it on an SD card as they're so cheap).
You also need to download a cracked version of the ttsystem file, also stored in the root directory of your TomTom if it is version 8.010 or above.
You can determine it's version by turning on your satnav, and in the driving screen, prod the bottom left corner, it will display it's version number.
Finally, make sure you never delete anything on you TomTom, only backup and rename file you no longer need. Much safer! Also, always backup your TomTOm using the TomTOm Home software before doing anything of this nature. You don't want to be left with a paperweight.
Hope this has been useful, and someone please post a fresh link to a cracked navcore 8.010 ttsystem file.
Thanks

Thanks
very useful! THANKS!

Minor correction, in step 9, you should prod the bottom RIGHT not the left as i said. Sorry for any confusion.
I have a TomTom Go 910
I downloaded the following components based on your suggestions:
TomTom Go 720 (FW 8.10)
TomTom_KeyGen_v2.3_(v6-7-8)
TomTomGO Map Western and Central Europe v720.1803 TTS incl working keygen
Removed everything from the hard drive, and upload everything from the TomTom Go 720 (FW 8.10) folder to the root.
After that the system started sometimes, but turned off automatically after few minutes.
From this morning this worts. I am not able to turn on my Go 910.
Even I RESET it at the back with a needle/pin.
Please help me what should I do.
It is a software issue or my hardware broken.
Cheers

Please tell me you did a backup before removing from the hard drive?
I think it sounds like you havent put the right files in the right place.
Best think to do is take a snapshot of the root folder of your system and post here so we can see what you have put where.

Hi BU,
i thought i would come to the right thread for my question rather than asking again on tomtom 7 software thread....
I have a tomtom one v1 but cannot get the navcore 8 and maps to work.
this was my last post about it
"I found a guide in one of my downloads and managed to get it to install but it does not look right.
It starts up then seems to freeze with weird areas of screen looking like a barcode?????/ then it freezes and i cant do anything until it just suddenly decides to restart."
Then you said to remove the folder "noFlash"
I dont have a folder on the root called NOFLASH, is it inside another folder?
Sorry to be a pain but i would love to get it working so i can stick v8 maps on.
Presumably its the same application i am using on my tomtom one v2?
so in theory i can copy that card over and then recrack the maps and it should work???
thanks

Hi All,
I have a Tomtom 720 with Firmware 810. I would like to have North America V8 map.
So I downloaded North.America.v8.10.1907 maps. I used TomTom KeyGen v2.3 (v6-7-8) to create a dct file.
I have this error :

And in my device Id, I have my tomtom device ID.
I copied North_America-15.meta and North_America.pna into insert_meta_from_Map_here.

Can someone help me to create the DCT File?
Thanks
David
Thank you for the quick answer.
I am afraid I will not be able to present anything from my root dir. Cause I can not turn on the device.
Even if I use the suggested official procedure (reset button (15 sec) on back, than connect, and try turn on.)
So firs of all I should turn on again than we can see what can be the next step.
Please help me how can I "turn on"
Cheers

Hi Bu,
I followed your instructions below
A few little tips on making your tomtom one xl work with a memory card
1, copy all data from internal memory to the sd card
2, download your new maps
3, copy the extracted maps to a folder on tomtom sd card
4, download the keygen and run it
5, patch the tomtom system file, meta and dct files
6, have fun...!
1- so i backed up everything before starting.
2- Copied contents from internal memory to 2GB SD card and deleted everything from the internal memory. I currently have USA and Canada. I didn't do anything else. I powered up the device and it worked from SD card. So far so good
3- Obtained UK and Ireland map v8.10.1870. it had the meta file, pna file and meta.txt. I used the Keygen and i generated the new DCT file (choose the manual way). I copied that to the UK and Ireland map folder and copied that folder (United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_v8.10.1870 ) to the 2GB SD card. When i powered up, i started getting a flashing picture of the SD card with a red cross on it (i.e. not accepting it)
I don't know what else to do. Here's the info on my Device:
DEVICE: AK8SN *****
APP 8.010 (9369/040301) OS:1000
GPS: v1.21 boot 1.0012
Map: USA_and_Canada v675.1409
Thanks in advance for your help. I need this maap badly. Hope you could help. Note that i have tomtom One XL.

Here's some additonal info.
I open the PNA file for both USA_and_Canada and UK_and _Ireland
ID=USA_and_Canada.pna
227689069

build=1409
id=79438
ID=United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland.pna

Not sure if this will help. Also i noticed that I didn't ptcch ttsystem (which I only found in the root directory and the map folders did have ttsystem) so my guess that ttsystem is unique. When i tried to patch it using ttsystem_Patcher, it did create an old ttsystem, but the note says that it doesn't work with 8.010. Is this my problem (not patching ttsystem) and how do i do that for v8.010 which is what i believe i have? and what about the meta file.txt do i have to do anything about that file which is located in the UK_and_Ireland folder?
Thank you

ok so here's my final update :)
I patched the ttsystem using ttsystem_patcher (even though the note says it won't work on 8.010). Anyway, the patcher gave me a ttsystem file and ttsystem.old (both files are the same size). I replaced the ttsystem file in the tomtom root directory with the "patched" ttsystem file.
The device booted, which is good so far. when i went to switch maps to the ireland map, i got a red screen (cannot use this map). I must be doing something wrong here. I feel that I'm close. please help me close the deal.
Thanks

if it's saying you can't use these maps (with the red screen)
it's because you need to patch the meta and dct files of the maps with the correct device id :D

Still no success (see below), So I ran the RunMeforAllAutomatic.cmd and i noticed a new DCT in the UK_and_Ireland map folder. Any other suggestions?

One more thing i would add is the following:
1- In the root directory, there is no meta file or meta.txt (only ttsystem)
2- In the USA_and_Canada map folder, there is no meta.txt. Note that this is the map that the device came with
3- The new map folder that i added is the United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland_v8.10.1870 and this one has a DCT file, PNA file and META file. Should I put all of these files in the root directory where ttsystem is located?

Hi Bu,
Thanks for the files. I added them to the UK_and_Ireland folder. Rebooted the device and still no success.
I don't think I'm using a patched 8.010 firmware. How do i patch it? and where do i place the files when i patch it?
Thanks.

when you say firmware patch do you mean ttsystem file that is located in the root directory? If yes, i used the ttsystem_patcher (RunMe.bat) and got the ttsystem.old and a new ttsystem file (see below). If it wasn't for that "new" ttsystem file, i would've continued to get the card with the flashing red cross. With the new ttsystem file, the device booted but the UK and Ireland map don't work (red screen).
Is there another way of patching the firmware? By the way, when using system patcher it says that it doesn't work with v8.010 or higher. do you think this is my problem? If yes, where do i get the patched ttsystem file for v8.010?
------------------------
Can't find!

or a old Version, this works only with a V7 up to 8.002 Version
not more with 8.010 and higher

Thanks a million BU, this means that i can add any other map without issues except to generate a dct for that particular map and it should work.
By the way, the favorites were greyed out on my map, so i replaced the *.ctg file and got them back for the USA and Canada. However the ones for UK and Ireland are still greyed out (even when i put a generic *.ctg file in that map folder). Is this a software issue and nothing could be done about it?
Finally, I'd like to know what you used to patch the firmware v8.010?

If it is the fixed cameras for W&C Europe as supplied by TomTom , then they don't work with POI.The ones from PocketGPS do use POI.
TomTom supplied ones only require to be activated by placing them in the map folder and running the EasyUseTools keygen which will make a DCT for them.

Hi All,
Just a quick question: since patching my TomTom I don't connect it to TomTom home, (a) so it doesn't update it and overwrite the patch, and (b) so TT don't know what I'm doing with it.
Too cautious, or sensible?

I hope someone can help, i have tried everything and still cannot get this damn thing to work.
Im trying to get a m8's 720 working, it used to work but when he didnt use it for a long time, he turned it on and got the red X thingy, when i connect it to the computer i see the sd slot and the internal memory but if i try to see whats on the internal memory it says please insert disc, so this is no good.
I have put the 810 firmware on an sd card and the 810 uk map, all from these posts, but i keep getting the you cannot use this map on this device:
United_Kingdom_and_Republic_of_Ireland-15
I have tried version 7 maps etc and always get the same message, i have tried cracking the maps with the systems and advice on here but it never works, always get the same message.
Could it be the device is totally broke?
On my pda if i dont crack a map it comes up with the device code and wants me to enter the code for the map, if i dont crack the map on the 720 i dont get this option, just the normal you cannot use this map on this device, is this right? surely i should get the enter code screen?
Can anyone help. I got all this working fine on my go520.
I have used patched app 8.010 and western central europe 805.1801.
I was trying to install to my mates go 920 as a favour, backed up and deleted all the files off the main 4gb memory. installed the files above on it, ran gen all ok.
Then I noticed no pc connection with TT, tried reset 30sec, power button pressed. It will not reboot. Have I installed the wrong boot loader 5.5105.
Or is it just down to sod law?;)
Is there a fix a TT tool box? or is it back to TT for warranty repair.
Thanks for any help or idea's.
J:cool:
Anyone has "cnode.dat" from build 810.1907 for North America maps can upload please. Mine is corrupt. Thxs

Check you reset button, then press reset for 5 seconds, then hold the power button down for re-enable from power down mode wait until a boot loader screen appears and then let go of the power button (this should work fine for you)
if it doesn't boot, format the memory card / storage device via card reader and try again

GO X30 units must have a larger internal memory than X20 units. I have TRUE 8.01 FW with BuMobiles patched ttsystem file on my TT 720. I have deleted as much "junk" from the FW as I can, and I am stiill 104 MB short of having enuf room to put NA 8.10 in the internal memory. That having been said, NA 8.10 functions perfectly on a SD card, but it would be nice to have it on the internal memory.

Bless ya BuMobiles ;), tried all resets m8. Just doesnt want to know, also tried on 3 differant pc's TT is not seen as a usb device. So I carnt format it.
If I plug usb lead in all I get is green charge light, tried given it a good charge over night. It just doesnt want to play fair, lol.
If ya have anymore ideas would be greatly recieved.:D

it's your connection then, check your pins on your connection and re-solder them back to the pcb.
or check that you havent damaged your ac-dc converter which controls the power input on your device (it looks like a eight legged micro chip)

I can't get computer voices to work after applying updates, specifically Susan. They are stored in my flash drive, I can see them listed under folder LoquendoTTS but doesn not show up in my voice selection as an option. How do I repair? Human voices work fine.

Bu,,
It's still not working. I've tried several times to reintsal Susan and others computer voices but to no avail. I even went as far as deleting LoquendoTTS on the 2GC SD card, downloaded and reinstall Susan again. It still not recognizing any computer voices as a selectable option when I go to operate unit from TThome or from the handheld itself.
Sounds like a bug somewhere???

@JimVmax
If you are convinced that it is a bootloader problem it could be that the bootloader file (called system) that you tried to install was corrupt.
You cannot downgrade a bootloader (to a smaller number) but there is a later bootloader 5.5106 available. If you place the Nav and that bootloader on an SD card and attempt a bootup it just might, repeat might, work. you have nothing to lose.
The bootloader 5.5106 is available here:

Just a slight word of caution. I've got my TomTom One patched to a fairly latest version:-
App: 8.203
OS:232962
GPS v1.20
Boot 5.5106
UK_and Rep_of Ireland_810 v810.1870
and it works great.
But TomTom Home asks if you want to do an application upgrade when you connect your device. If you say yes then the TomTom doesn't pick up the maps.
It's easy to rectify - just wipe and reinstall everything but worth noting all the same. And if you don't select the upgarde you can still upgarde map corrections etc without any issues.

No, I was pointing to someone who had installed that particular Nav. apparently without problem.
If it works "perfectly" on a One which is a very basic model ( it's what I have) then I am sure it will work equally as well on your 720.

OK not quite true - I have found an 'issue' with this version of patching on a TomTom One - the speech stops working, both TTS and normal voices.
As such I have gone back to:-
App: 8.011
OS:190943
GPS v1.21
Boot 5.5106
UK_and Rep_of Ireland_810 v810.1870
and everything is fine Sad really because the new icons are far better.

Like I say Ryentuff it appeared to work ok. On boot up I selected a TTS voice which it accepted. But after a reboot I noticed all sound had gone and when I went in to select a voice again one of the two TTS voices that previously were preseent were not there and even selecting a 'native' voice was no good. I tried a journey albeit 'soundless' and everything else worked fine i.e. navigation, lane selection etc.

Interesting experiment. I too like the look of the new icons but my 8.011 is working very well with TTS, Vocalizer, normal voices and v8 maps right now to bother with what would be a cosmetic upgrade.
In saying that, most probably boredom will get the better of me one night. :)

If i have caught up on this correctly some people are having issues with v8.203???
I have installed it on my newly acquired TOMTOM one XL (4s00.000) and i still have normal voices working PERFECT.
I cannot for the life in me get the TTS voices working on either this or my TT1 v2 running 8.010.
Now could it be that i dont have the right map or files in it for them to work???
i am running UK and Ireland v805.1801 on both as when i tried v810.1870 i had issues (it would not allow me to enter any addresses or postcodes). i thought i might have got a corrupted download so gave up on it.
ANY ONE ELSE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS??
SO in conclusion.
this new v8.203 works ok with normal voices .....for me anyway.

i am running UK and Ireland v805.1801 on both as when i tried v810.1870 i had issues (it would not allow me to enter any addresses or postcodes). i thought i might have got a corrupted download so gave up on it.
ANY ONE ELSE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS??
SO in conclusion.
this new v8.203 works ok with normal voices .....for me anyway.
TTS is NOT dependent on the map. Somebody once posted a map with "no TTS " and many people copied it and it stuck. What they meant was no voice commands (ASR) with this map. EVERY map can use TTS.
With your One v2 running 8.10 you need to run it using TTUser's emulation "onettssdk". As I posted before, the big voices ( x30 voices) work best.
For your XL you need to use XLS emulation and x30 TTS voices.

I found when putting the later firmware on and then the additional stuff that gave you the 'onettssdk', 'switch x30' icons etc that you lost the nice new icons that the latest firmware gave you. I also tried these opins with the firmware but still no sound.

Spurred on by Pictopicto I decicded to have another stab at getting 8.203 working on a One V4.
(1) Made a full backup of the device
(2) wiped totally the SD card
(3) Copied the contents of Se_ttsystem.8203.9717 + navcore_SE_8.203.9717_basicpack + ASR (whatever that is) to the SDcard
(4) copied additional folders ZIP an voices
(5) copied UK_and_Rep_of_Ireland_810
(6) ran easytools.
(7) rebooted Tomtom
Apparent success. Could select nornal voice OK
(8) created VocalizerTTS and copied Samantha and Tom
(9) rebooted Tomtom
Once again apparent success, Could select either Samantha or Tom and they spoke!!!
But then switched off. When I came back to it ANY voice was now selectable but silent. Tried a full system reset, no joy.
So have wiped it all and gone back to my backup.
This must be something fairly simple though if it did work.

Here is a x30 "big" voice for use with TTS ( not Vocalizer)
http://www.anonym.to/?http://download.tomtom.com/sweet/tts/loquendo7/British_English-female-Kate.cab
BTW You can't use onettssdk emu. or "poweroff" file with 8203.9717 anymore.
ASR is only of use if your device can use spoken commands.

Rtenuff - sorry if I appear thick but what is the difference between TTS and Vocalizer. I use Male computer and it speaks the streets names etc etc plus any POI's like speed cameras.
I have OGG files in my map folder for the speed cameras - does it pick them up or does it TTS the cameras

Use this with the x30 voices
http://rapidshare.com/files/114353720/X30.LoquendoTTS.rar
The x20 voices won't work with the 8203 Nav.
The difference is in the quality of the pronunciation, they are different non-compatible systems and the fact that there are no British English voices available in Vocalizer only US English. The trade off is that the files are much larger in the TTS system.

Cheers for that. Beats the american pronunciation. I'll see how she gets on.
BTW do OGG files go in the map folder

Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to get the saftycamera's working on UK & Irelan map v8.10?
I have put the latest ones on my GO510 but it does not show the saftycams when I go passed them,
they work fine on the v7.25 maps.
Hope someone out there can help.....
Cheers
Is mapshare working for others running x20 w/Navcore 8.01 and 8.01 NA maps installed. It seems mapshare stuck on 12405 for the last week. Anyone with the same issue?

Rytenuff would I be right in saying that if you use TTUser's emulation "onettssdk" then the voices (including Vocalizer and Laquendo) work fine BUT you don't get such options as the lane change graphics. If you switch to X30 emulation then you lose the Laquendo functionaity butgain the lane changes.
That's what I found anyway.
rytenuff

That certainly holds true for 8.10 and 8.11 , but you can still use Vocalizer. I live in an are where there aren't any motorways ect. so lane graphics don't bother me much. As my One is not wide screen, I think the lane graphics would be compromised in any case.

I have Nav 8.01, NA 7.20 & NA 8.10. Mapshare on both maps update every week or so, not daily like they used to. I suspect it might be a change to save cost.

Just want to say a big thank you to the forum. I now have the 810 NA maps on my 720 and they work flawlessly. Even the ALG is working.
Installation was extremely easy. I was a bit worried after reading the readme instructions in easyusetools, but it was almost as easy as jailbreaking my iPhone.
Quick question. With the hacked maps, can I still connect it to TT Home and get the mapshare updates?
Thanks again.

You should be ok romulus. Mine works fine and I can happily receive map updates fro tomtom home. Have a look through this thread for some info from rytenuff and/or bumobiles who have published downloads making Home compatible with different firmware versions.
Also make sure you back up your full TomTom device. There currently is a system upgrade being 'offered' when I connect my TomTom to Home which if installed jiggers the device up (presumable because the version of the o/s etc that is on the One shoudln't be on general release for that device). At least if you have a full backup you can simply wipe the TomTom memory and recopy it all back on.
Hello,
can someone give me a link for navcore 8 for One V2 please ?
I installed the one for 520 and the one for V1 on my One V2 but i can't use v8 maps.
It says "can't use the map with this device".
As far as i read in the previous posts, it must be due to an uncorrect patch as
said by BU.
By the way a GREAT THANKS TO BU MOBILES !
But i patched everything correctly, i must have missed something but what ... ?
Thank you all dudes !

check a few pages back for a link to firmware 8.0.10 (this is already patched)
all you need to do is run the keygen for the selected maps

Hi,
it works now thanks to BuMobiles who's Magic ! ;)
Actually i was using an old version of the keygen.
To Somm-up, you can either use Navcore 810 (or 811) with v8 maps for Tomtom One and One XL.
The navcore 811 can be found here :

Is IQ routes automatically embedded within the software or does it need enabling. My happily patched ONE in 'X30' mode displays lane guidance OK but all I have seen is a little message occasionally flash up on the display saying IQ not enabled (or something like that). Does that mean it is working?
OK - just answered my own question afetr looking into it a bit further. Within Planning preferences there is an option for IQ routes. Although it did have 'Enabled' selected teh software still thought it was disabled. Selecting disable then saving then going back in and selecting Enable fixes it.

I do have a query though about IQ routes an dhow they update.
How do the IQ routes get updated. Are they downloaded automatically with the Mapshare stuff or does Home know that despite me having a V8 patched ONE (including maps) the device officially does not support it and does not download the info?

Cheers rytenuff - but the TomTom manure (straight from the horses ****) doesn't confirm how the IQ data is updated.
Is it done as party of the MapShare updates or is it a seperate download and is Home clever enough to think 'ahh well that's actually a TomTom One attached and it doesn't share IQ so I won't update it's data'.

HI bumobiles ,rytenuff,
I got the 8.10 versions working on tommie device and tomtom home. So wanted to try out the Navcore.8.203.9717 version. Downloaded the navcore installed. and patched the home file with already patched folder from http://squidoogle.blogspot.com/2008/11/ready-made-folders.html .
Tomtom device is working fine, however i cant find the icon of show lanes in this 8.20 version which was very much there in 8.10 version.
Tom tom home asks for downloading a file and strangely it downloads a 7.163.8493@tomtom.com folder.
ANy ideas what is going wrong?
thanks,

Yes in the ttgo.bak file there was this line:
ApplicationVersionVersionNumber=7162 ApplicationVersion=8492
I changed that to 7163 and 8493 as told in the readmenot. :
"With a File ttgo.bak, with your latest official Device-Navcore-Numbers, in root see Home not more the wrong Version. Need you only if your Device has official NOT this Version here.
You can create alone a ttgo.bak with correct Numbers or use inbuild auto Creation.
Use version.txt in root or /Config with your needed Numbers.
Current for:
x10,x00,one
A:7162
B:8492
GO
A:7163
B:8493
Rider
A:7541
B:9313
x20,x30,onexl,one3
A:8010
B:9369"
Though it is still not solved.
