hi, i have a 8310 data cable and a dead nokia 8310. is it possible to flash this phone and see if that revives it? is there any software out there that i can use to do this? if so can somebody please point me in its direction.

There is no free software to flash the 8310. I need to buy the flasher software or find someone with a box.

DCT4 flasher software is free - schemes, flashfiles, loaders, etc... just take a look from the old post.

But the flasher dongle and cables are NOT FREE!

I'm afraid, nope. You can't use a cable for a serial/com port...

You need a flasher cable connected to your parallel/LPT port to flash dead DCT4 phones...
