The following files are included in the ZIP:

- SEF50s.hex is the Flash file in Spanish
- SEF50sEN.hex is the Flash file in English
- SEE50s.hex is the EEPROM file
- SE50sCFG.exe is the configuration program for SEF50s.hex and SEF50sEN.hex

Any other SEF50sXX.hex translated also can be configurated.

This version is identical to 5.00 with limitations in the number of ADN, SMS and FDN.
This values can be configurated with SE50sCFG.exe program with the following condition:

(ADN - 64) * 32 + SMS * 176 + FDN * 32 must be less than 6706

Where:
Minimum ADN is 64
Minimum SMS is 1
Minimum FDN is 1

The default values of SEF50s.hex and SEF50sEN.hex are:
ADN = 208
SMS = 10
FDN = 10

My Configurator can only handle 3 Diff configs
that is clearly viewed in the proggie I think.
3 Options only to set it with.

Yours is much more sofisticated when You can choose
any amount (within the total Byterange of course)

I used Your config-proggie and made 3 different files,
compared them and implemented the differences in my soft.

Don't patch in the 5.00 hex files the information of ADN, SMS and FDN. The bytes modified was thinked for 5.00s and not for 5.00.

Only use your 3 config while patching the 5.00s files.

Config of this data is only made for 5.00s .

!!! make sure it is Ver 5.7.0.0 !!!



Ver 5.5.0.0 changes Wrong bytes in Real 5.00
which may damage files !!!

Using My tool does not stop You to use SIMEMU´s
special one, his tool is much more Specified in it´s purpose.

First of all thanx simemu for great work
I`ve been using YOur emulator for some while and find it great.
I have pushed in two mine cards and wifes :). It makes life esyer.
second to Eurocrypt can YOu mail me the config prog to test.
I can not reach ftp. I used YOu old SE4Config fot simemu 4 and 4.10. I think YOu shuld coorporate both It wold bee good set for easy using.

The GreenCard 2 has 24c256 the twice EEPROM of the GreenCard, but from the moment, I don't use this extra space.
The next version will use it.

But i have one problem.
I tried to reconfigure number of SMS and ADN with Nokia 8310 and Samsung 2200 trough SimEmu menu. In both cases i could not change default values 10/208. Other functions like adding or deleting position are working.
Can you help me to solve this problem?

In the 5.00s version, you can only reduce these values from the menu mobile.

If you want to change this combination, you can use the configurator I include in the ZIP.

FDN means Fixed Dialling Number.
It is an special phonebook that is activated from the mobile menu using the PIN2 and works as a fixed list of numbers that it is possible to call. No other number can be called once activated.
It is a restricted outcoming number list.

For example, you want to let your phone to your son, but you don't want that he calls any number except the numbers of this list.

To modify this list it is necessary to know the PIN2 too.

Once deactivated, the normal phonebook appears again.

The Language suffix identify the language flash file to use in the configurator. This modified file must be written in the SilverCard.

It is not possible to use the unused positions for other things. Each position requires only 113 bytes.

2. The next version 6.00 comes with the flash protected to avoid writing code that allows read the internal EEPROM. The phonebook will be totally in the external EEPROM.
However, the ICProg and most of programmers, first make a full erase before begins the programming of the flash and for this reason, this is not a problem provided that we protect the internal EEPROM with the CPD bit.

3. In a future release I'll try to encrypt the contents of the external EEPROM. Thanks for suggestion.

4. At the moment, the SIM-EMU is not opensource, because I am making a little of comercial use with some shops.

5. That is a phone problem and cannot be solved from the emulator. The Refresh command requested from the SIM to phone, does not update this information when it shoud be. The last Ericsson models works fine and does not present this fail.

I have already scheduled that option for a future version, but I don't think that it should be used the PIN2 for security reasons. The PIN2 is for eventual configuring and not to use it frequently during change of number.

Perhaps deactivating the Sel# menu and use the Reset for change the position using PIN1 or something like that.

Yeah its working in belgium without any modifications just need to scan original Base or Mobistar cards, didnt tryed with Proximus yet , ;) so good luck

That depends of the mobile.
Some phones store this data in the SIM, but another never does it and when detect a change of the IMSI, erase this data.

Do you refer to management of Phonebook ?

I'd tested the 8310 V5.80 and works perfectly, but I'll try to test it again.

The reset in a sending of a message was a common problem of previous version of 8310.

When I try to download all 37 SMS from card with SIMEditor-Demo-RE03 I get only first 30 SMS OK, other 7 are empty.

Where is the problem in SIMEMU or IN SIMEditor-Demo-RE03?

Does anyone can help me to find full version of SIMEditor or CARDINAL or any other program which can help me to download and upload SMS from/on the card in TXT format.
(Win Explorer is good but save SMS in BIN format, how can I read and edit my SMS then?)

I have Nokia 6210

There is problem with script also, only first 30 SMS are stored.
Other 7 SMS (31-37) are emty.

(When I say "Win Explorer is good ..." I mean that is good to can download and upload SMS from/to card. With SIMEditor-Demo-RE03 I can only download SMS from card and save it in TXT file, but how to upload it back to the card? Is there full version of SIMEditor?)

Is it hard to modify script to save SMS in TXT format? (So I can read, edit and write back SMS)

The problem is in your phone, because that model can only manage until 30 SMS's, the remaining are inaccesible.
