Motorola V547 display

Hi

I have a V547 which had no power to the LCD. I have replaced the ribbon which was broken and now have power to the screen but the display appears very 'Ghosty' with shadows and shapes appearing in the background.

Would this be a problem with the screen or should I be looking elsewhere ??

Any advice would be greatl appreciated.
