View Full Version : cloning Orange Romania SIms
Hi,
does anyone know if Orange Romania has the capability to detect cloned SIMs?
I got a weird call from them a couple of days ago, suggesting that I must change the SIM card, without saying why...
They also told me that "any change made to the SIm card is illegal"... !?!??
I am using a clone for a couple of months, never had any problems...

Hmm.. that's strange! I want to test something and i will tell you what happened. I'm using also cloned cards and had nothing received yet even if i've tryed to use both simcards in the same time. I sure admit that i've tryed it with 2 operators (not Orange) because i have no simcard from them yet. Maybe i'll try to fing a sim tonight.
Anyway.. guys.. :-)) head's up and my regards to you. They are dumb enough and have no idea how this things work. :p :p :p

i have tried to clone a prepaid but the phones can't read it anymore. i tried to read ky and IMSI with Dejan K.'s scan sim 1.33
(F5 i think) and after that the phone doesn't recognize it. did you succeeded in cloning the new prepaids?

did you get the .dat file ? I mean did you extract IMSI & KI ? Which card does not work? the cloned one? or the original prepaid?
I've never tried cloning prepaid cards, but I ca'nt imagine it beeing different from post pay... any other ideas ... ?

I have a pre-paid card by Italian OMNITEL (16k) and after a successful ki extraction stopped working on one of my two phones (I mean my samsung r210s doesn't read it anymore, while on my nokia 3315 the card works just fine).

No i couldn't get IMSI & KI and the original prepaid card doesn't work anymore. I didn't try to clone a post paid card because ....
But from what i know there are incompatibilities betwen some prepaid cards and some phones. (same models of SIMs but diferent manufacturers).

I need to explain you some things so you understand what's going on.
Well.. my friends this is how it goes..
When you try to clone this orange simcards you must try to clone the new cards.
Vendorgsm tryed to clone an old "Dialog" simcard and it was damaged. He used the F5-F3 option.
Now.. when he cloned the new "orange" simcard he used the F5-F1 option. I've tryed to clone it myself but my card is also a old "Dialog" simcard I don't have any new "Orange" but i've noticed this:
-If you use the F5-F1 (fast) option instead of F5-F3 (slow) if the counter has passed over 006000 and simscan hasn't displayed any info about the Ki then you must stop the process cause else the simcard will be damaged.
This is the explanation: If you have a card with a Ki that can be extracted then the first nr's of the ki will be displayed beetween 005000 and 006000. The whole Ki will be found beetween 008000 and 011000.
Don't try to crack the Ki if the counter went over 006000. It will not finish before the card will be damaged. ! :eek:
