Hello,
first of all i want to say i've been reading this forum for a long time and it helped me alot.
I have nokia n95 8gb and using these forums i gave myself free navigation, (plus many other programs that worked just fine: iremote, trendcam, just to name a few)
So for some reason i started receiving a -45062 message popping up when i tried texting, and my stupid stupid idiot self thought it might go away if i update the Firmware, so i did now its v20.0.016 and now i have NO free navigation, or any of the other "hacked" programs i had before and to top it all off my i still can't send text messages.
Please help me get free navigation again and possible a way to have my previous programs working.
from my understanding there is no way to downgrade this F@$#ing Nokia firmware. i tried searching for a solution but i'm just so pissed off that i just need to vent. and possible get some help from the good people that write on these forums
sorry for the long rattle but i'm just angry and can't find a solution
thank you to all who reply
Andrew

AndrikoS,
It sounds like your phone is configured for use on a preset network. What you would have to do is change the phone's product code and then upgrade the phone's firmware again. Nemesis Service Suite and Nokia Software Updater should do the trick. I had a network problem with a colleague's phone where it only accessed Service Provider A's network but he was on Service Provider B's network. So we fixed it for him with the tools I mentioned. Also do a search for the universal product code for your phone on the forum pages. They are here somewhere.
Hope this helps.

AndrikoS,
Before I forget. If you do change the product code on your phone while it's still under warranty, the network service centre that would repair your phone might not do so under warranty. This is because of the changed product code (if something goes wrong with the phone). The best recourse is to take it to a Nokia Service Centre when it does break under warranty and you have changed the product code, as they won't (or shouldn't) have issues with "open" phones. If the phone is older than 2 years in your possession, then that is a bonus for you. Then warranties are not an issue.
