LG 1200 unlock. [Archive]

Hi!

I'm interested in unlocking these phones.
I successfully made a cable and flashed it to upgrade version and language change.

If anybody can help me with unlocking I would be very thankful.

Unlocked it today but now all ringtones sound the same. Flashing not help.

Any advice?

Flash phone and make factory reset from service menu.
But you lost all ringtone. And name ringtone like TONE1, TONE2 .......

Simple way to unlock the LG B1200

1. First go to http://www.geocities.com/Pirata_GSM/ and download the Flasher program + Flash Files.

2. Flash your phone with one of the flashes.

3. After Flash, turn on your phone and press *6861# in the phone to update cheksums.

4. Turn off phone and when the phone off press # and on/off buttons together until you see light in the display and press keys 6 6 8.

5. Now you are in service menu. Just make factory reset and the phone is unlocked.

6. Don't forget to rate me ;)

PS : Until now after resetting the phone the ringtones are losted. But the phone are unlocked . :D

not very good. the pinout is not for LG B1200. For example, B1200 has only 14 pins.

And one question: Why do u think, that *6861# updates checksums?

Yes Junk you are right, the shematic is for LG 200 Series. I upload correct cable shematic later !!! ;)

Why you think that *6861# don't update cheksums ???

Sorry about that chris_ua but still many people asking for that. I'll give all of you the merits ( chris_ua / Demon_OK )but here we are helping eatch other ... :) Now we have to work in the ringtones problem. I post my results later :)

I don't really know what *6861# do. But I know that new flash works well without *6861# code entered.

SO I don't think, that there is a need to enter this code and name it like checksum corrector.

Tell why do u think that this code updates checksums?

Because some people mail me reporting after flashing the phone freezes sometimes ... after using *6861# and restart the phone the problems have gone ( not the ringtones problem ) so i assume this code correct some checksum. ;)

I download flash file from PirataGSM page, and my phone is unlocked, but only
with russia language:(

I have original hungary flash, but it is don't unlocked.

What can I make?

I make flash, after *6861#, so power and 668, but it is not OK, because in service menu is not factory reset, only factory settings.

Idea?

BTW, the "Simple way to unlock the LG B1200" by PirataGSM is not very good. With melodies you also loose Receiver/Transmitter calibration values, Battery calibration values and some more phones-private info... And you can't bring it back without Service Hardware. SO, think before do :)

Somebody please expain for me if he knows something about this:
My B-1200 is powering up every time when i'm pluging in the connector to unlock or for flashing but without pressing any button. In case of taking down the pin nr.1 from GND it's working. The flasher is not connecting just waiting for powering up. So if i'm pressing power up in case of taking down the nr.1 wire everything it's working okay without connecting.
Why ?!
Do you think something it's f.....d up ? i Mean Rx or Tx ?

disconnect pin 5 .... for GND use only pin 1. The phone will not power up any more.
If you are using Win2k or WinXP could be that flasher only waiting for connection... Better use Win98.

Junk just helped me to unlock an this LG phone by NCK.
It's worked very fine.

No flashing, no ringing problems after unlock everithing is just fine.

Thanks Junk for advice but i just tried the same thing without results. I mean i disconnected the pin Nr.5 from the ground no power up but the same waiting process. No response from the flasher just waiting for powering up. I don't know why for real. And i am using the monitor[b1200] with WIN 98.
That's it.
