Hi all,

Need to try and fix my girlfriends Samsung U900.. the screen is flickering and flashing black and white on close of the phone.

She had a Samsung D600 before this and something similar happened it. I replaced the flex cable in that, and everything worked except a few keys were slightly unresponsive. I fixed that by buying a flashing kit for the phone off EBay for £20 (I've since thrown it out, but it wouldn't fit the U900 anyways) and flashing the phone!

Will something similar happen when I replace the flex in the U900? Cos to be honest, I couldn't be arsed forking out another £20 for a flashing kit that'll be used once. Could have a professional do it for the same price I'm paying for all these items on EBay! :D

Many thanks in advance.

about the D600, i think phone have the keys problem before u change the flex, or it's repaired by chance.

anyway, u don't need any Flashing opration after u change the flex of U900, but if u have doubt in that, u can search forum about Flasher+Flash+How-to-Flash and u can still use original USB cable coming with phone.

Many thanks for the quick response BouRRi_GSM.

The keys were fine before I changed the flex though.. so it seems odd that some were not working after I changed it, but the flash definitely fixed it.

That's great news that I use the original cable to flash it..

Ordered the flex and screwdriver for it off EBay last week so should have it before the end of the week. Just found the Schematics for Samsung D900 (basically how to open it and the parts of the PCB, but that should be enough - as I have an idea where the flex cable is).

Don't know why the girlfriend keeps buying Samsung as it's my wallet that the money for repairs is coming out of! :D

Thanks again.
