Many seem to be having no problems unlocking the CDMA/GSM Verizon 9530 Storm but here in Canada we are having some serious issues unlocking the CDMA/GSM 9530 Storm from Bell and Telus Mobility networks. It seems that there is no way to successfully unlock them even with the new version v.1.0.0.436. The firmware version that are on the Storms here is v4.7.0.76_P4.0.0.96. When I try to unlock using the fast way I get this error;

IMEI: 359483025XXXXXX
Calculating ...
Unsupported simlock type ! Sorry but you must use slow method !
Time needed - 00:00:10
When I try and use the slow method this is the message I get;
Searching for usb device ...
Booting usb device ...
ERR_MSG: Can't get phone id ! Unsupported model for current task !
Time needed - 00:00:04
I tried flashing the Storm with the Verizon's firmware version v.4.7.0.75 but it at well gives the same errors and cannot be unlocked. Can we get this updated so that these Canadian Storms can be unlocked? Thanks.

I was allready informed and ordered such pieces from US. Now all that remains is to wait them arrive.

Your getting Storms from Canadian providers Bell and Telus Mobility from the US? That's strange but if your getting them that's great then...thank you for the update.

I have the same problem with some south american units, i think its a new security address that rim applied when the free solution was leaked/released, so im guessing all the latest/newest manufactured units will have this type of simlock, im not sure tho...
but i really hope FT finds the solution because we desperately need a solution to unlock our phones.

first posted a month ago yet no rel;eased solution, and such phones kept coming and returned to customers at the end of the day saying not supported and they asked when to be supported ? we soon , soon, soon, 1 full month passed by still soon,
pleaase hack3r2k do something again and restore the pride of furious...

And also one month passed since customers said yeah ill help to buy a phone, will send a phone and nothing happened. Cant make myself such phone if i dont get one. So send one ! What u think ?

I also have blackberry vodafone 9500 i tried in fg dongle same error ike others, tried with 2 phones, as well as i tried with code also but with unlock code i waste money, phone showing code reader, for vodafone bold 9000 also got same problem, same error with vodafone india phones,

If u have any 9530 im interested. Or 9500 from vdf india or ireland. For 9000 bold must work with slow method.
