Hi,

I have just managed to unlock a Huawei e160G from 3 in the UK. Kulan Kendi worked fine.

As instructed, I changed the drivers for the ones provided, then it could detect the phone and unlock it.

Instead of the 3 firmware, which will not let me use a different network, I have installed Huawei's "Mobile partner" software, downloadable for another model, and that works :-)

My question to Kulan Kendi is this:

The modem has 3 firmware pre-installed, and it has an autorun that tries to install it on any computer I plug the usb modem into. How can I change this?

I would like it either to try to install nothing, or to try to install the program from Huawei, or a generic program.

Please let me know,

Thanks,

Joel

Every new huawei modem contain main firmware and application part. Is possible to use other operator firmware to update UR modem. If I understand correctly U want to change "3" software what U have on modem internal disk? Other operator firmware is protected agains flashing, software will ask U for unlock code what is not same as unlock code. If U want to make this send me imei of modem to PM and I'll provide U flashing code
