8310 security code [Archive]

Hi,

My friend has a v5.57 8310 which ask's for security code on boot up.

I have tried many ways with various software and factory resets to read or reset security code back to 12345.

When using various software I get message - security reset to 12345, but when I put in sim card and type 12345 still says CODE ERROR.

I have left phone on for a long time (over night) but still wont accept 12345.

I even tried downgrading & reflashing etc, but still no joy!!

Can anyone advise what the problem may be??

I have tried just about every software available

What device do you use to flash?

I used MCU/PPM flasher box.

Even tried resetting security code with Nokia DCT Flasher 1.7

Also tried using .fia files and reset lock but no joy!!

I think someone must have tried to unlock and messed up!

Just found out it was bought cheaply in this condition because the previous owner could not get it fixed, so unsure what has happened to it previously.

Try using this! (http://users.net.yu/~dejan/download/sp_dct4.zip) and then after reset wait 20mins and type in 12345

I assume you have applied a full factory reset using:

Fbus by Maestro

That has never failed to reset the security code for me.

Hi,

I have tried the sp_dct4 by dejan and the fBus Maestro025 AND waited over 20 minutes before entering 12345, but still no joy!!

I cannot find any other software to try now!!

Any suggestions would be welcomed............

pls try this sugestion:
flash phone MCU and PPM...not disconnect phone..press imediatly buton"reset lock"...wait 20 mins...and try to enter 12345.
pls posted resultes.

Hi mate,

Have just tried doing exactly as you said, but still no work!!

Must be a faulty chip or something - looks like it going on Ebay auctions
