Patch for Expanded Flexmem formatting

Patch for enabling phone to be able to format Standard Flexmem
(348KBytes) into Expanded Flexmem (393.5KBytes).

All addresses are based on full flash image file.
You may need to recalculate the CRC and re-MAP your phone.

Make sure you have the correct version of firmware.

After you applied the patch and turned on your phone, the Flexmem is still in original size.
You have to format it to make it in expanded size.

If your firmware is ME45, use the DES (Data Exchange Software) to format your Flexmem.
If your firmware is S45i, use can use DES or your phone to format it.

This is also my experience. Memory was expanded imediately after patch. When formated 348KBytes again.

Furthermore it seems that procedure below, to restore adressbook files does not work in expanded memory.

1. rename the backup copy in your hardrive to "address book1 "
2. copy the "address book1" to your phone
3. Now rename the address book in your phone to " address book2 "
4. Last of all rename the " address book 1" which is your backup copy to "address book"
5. Then delete the "Address book 2" the blank keep rebuilding copy away yay you got back your address book

I was not able to rename adress book folder.
After format, in 348kB mem. it works.

I've never successfull using that method.
Even when I haven't upgraded to ME45i or Flexmem.
I've never managed to successfuly rename the Addressbook files nor the directory.
The files is always in use by the phone.

actually this patch is working for S45i v04. btw, i think originally there's no S45i version 040701 =) S45i do not have lgpack version 07.

The patch should works fine no matter what your langpack is as long as you apply the correct patch.

exactly!! i use the same Swup! but what i mean is that the patches will be safer if we applied it into the ff taken from the v_klay. and maybe you should try to take fullflash with v_klay and compare it with mine! you should see that the content is different

You have to enable it first and use V_KLAY or S45i Activator!

This is how to use s45i activator :
1. run s45i activator
2. read patches and wait.
3. click all item on the left side
4. write patches... and wait!
5. exit service mode
6. remove mobile batere for a view second.
7. turn on your mobile!

Not yet, but i think that is normal... the device not original S45i.

the important think is "my mobile running well" network, gprs, send receive email, etc.... no problem.

my SIM is Matrix with gprs from satelindo.
