First of all, a strong recommendation from me about adding HTC to the server. Always try to add them by log, I know it may be more expensive, but this method is 100% guaranteed and there can be absolutely NO WRONG CODES, plus it removes SIM/NETWORK LOCK so you can use any provider, removes CID lock and enables you to flash any firmware.
Adding by code may be cheaper, but it can also provide incorrect codes since the codes may have been changed by the operators from the default ones.
The second issue is with adding HTC as unlock by operator T-Mobile USA. Always make sure the phone is 100% locked on this network and don't hope that if it's not you will get a NOT FOUND message, because that will not happen, the code will be calculated regardless of this and you will end up losing credits since the supplier will not refund us in this case.

A dialogue screen will prompt you to enter the code:

Dialog: Enter code to enable SIM
Box for Code: 1-8 digits

On you having entered the code a dialogue box will come up saying Authenticating code

In case you see the “Waiting for Activation Screen”, hit the Menu key and the letter L key at the same time. The menu key is the top left key. By doing this, the waiting screen will go away and you will be able to make calls. For best results, hold down Menu and the L key until the Waiting for Activation screen disappears.

In the "Please enter special code" field, enter the 8 digit unlock code.

If the message does not appear or "No SIM" is displayed, proceed to the HyperTerminal instructions.

If you received two unlock codes the first one is Unfreeze code. The second code is Network Unlock Code (NCK). If you received only one code from us it's a Network Unlock Code (NCK).


How to remove Phone freeze

A frequent reason for Freeze Code to be enabled is when user enters several erroneous NCK codes.

If your cell phone shows a "Phone Freeze" message use the first code to unfreeze it. Enter the 8-digit code with SIM card in the phone when the "Phone Freeze" message is displayed, then press OK button (middle buttom, depending on phone branding can be called differently).


You will not see text appear on screen while typing.

You can now proceede to entering Network Unlock Code.

Pull the battery out of the phone
Switch the phone on and the phone will be automatically unlocked

How to enter your unlock code: Remove your working simcard and insert the simcard of a different provider, and when prompted for a subsidy password, enter the code above.

What to do if - "Contact Service Provider", "Tampert Alter", "Wait before enter special Code" message is displayed: If after inserting a simcard from a different provider you notice the message "contact service provider" or any of the messages above, you will need to leave your phone on, at that "contact service provider" screen, for 1-3 hours. How to Enter Unlock Codes on a Cingular BlackJack
Step Action
1 Insert NON Cingular SIM into device

2 Power on the device
- Wait approximately 30 seconds until the SimLock application appears (the delay may be longer if the user has already attempted an unlock with the wrong code)

3 Enter the unlock code in the blank field

4 Press Ok
- If the unlock code is incorrect, an error dialog will appear. After pressing Ok on this dialog, the user has to re-enter the unlock code after delays (see above in Device Specific Information)
- If the unlock code is correct, a success dialog will appear.

5 Press Ok
- The device is now unlocked and should continue booting

OR

Insert disallowed simcard (a simcard that the phone does not usaully accept) and enter unlock codes when prompted

3. The phone will then prompt 'Unlock sim'. Press OK.

Enter the 8 digit unlocking code. Press OK. If the unlocking code comes with only 7 digits, add a 0 in front of the 7 digit code. If the unlocking code comes with only 6 digits, add 00 in front of the 6 digit code.

6. It should give you the message Success.

*If you already have an unlock code and sim card but when you input code, it always says " unlock code not accepted, you have tried...." You must update your ROM version . About 5% hp 6315 have this problem.
This problem can easy be resolved with this ROM update ( ROM v1.00.38 )

1 Insert NON Cingular SIM into device
2 Power on the device
- Wait approximately 30 seconds until the SimLock application appears (the delay may be longer if the user has already attempted an unlock with the wrong code)
3 Enter the unlock code in the blank field
4 Press Ok
- If the unlock code is incorrect, an error dialog will appear. After pressing Ok on this dialog, the user has to re-enter the unlock code after delays (see above in Device Specific Information)
- If the unlock code is correct, a success dialog will appear.
5 Press Ok
- The device is now unlocked and should continue bootingOR
1. On the Today screen, tap Start > Settings.
2. Tap the Phone Band icon.
3. Tap the Keyboard icon to open the virtual keyboard
4. Tap Shift and then Ctl key to enable the keys.
5. Tap the blank area below the band selection box to open the unlock tool.
6. Tap Shift and then Ctl to disable the keys.
7. Enter the 8-digit unlock code and tap OK when done.
8. Wait for the device to validate the unlock code (about five seconds). You will see one of the following screens:
1) Unlock successful.
2) Unlock failed due to incorrect code. The user has three attempts to unlock. After three attempts, the device will refuse any more unlocking attempts. Perform a soft reset to reset the counter to perform additional unlocking attempts.
3) Device is not ready for unlocking. This error message displays when the user tries to unlock when the phone application (not the device) is not in a steady state. It takes 30 seconds after powering on the phone for it to reach a steady state.
*If you already have an unlock code and sim card but when you input code, it always says " unlock code not accepted, you have tried...." You must update your ROM version . About 5% hp 6315 have this problem.
This problem can easy be resolved with this ROM update ( ROM v1.00.38 )
This rom update will remove all T-mobile logos and sofware and your 6315 will become OEM 6315

Ensure the phone is charged and then switch the phone on.
Optional Step: If the SIM card has a PIN, enter your PIN number.
The phone will then display a message top of the screen. The most common is “Invalid SIM card”.
Select “Settings” Menu , then go to Advanced Options > SIM Card
Type alt-MEPE by holding the ALT-key and typing the letters MEPE
This will not show on the screen.
Holding ALT while typing MEPE will bring up the box to enter the code.
When prompted with “Enter Network MEP code (255 left)” on the screen, enter the 16-digit network unlock code provided for your phone (with no "p", "w", "+" or "#"), then press Enter.
The handset will be unlocked automatically. This will be confirmed if you can make and receive calls with the Non-Vodafone SIM card.
Reboot the BlackBerry and off you go.

5. Run HTCPPCPEv1Unlock.exe (http://imei-check.com/htcppcpeunlock.zip) on your desktop pc SUPPORTS Win2000/XP ONLY
(data extraction usually takes 1 minute. If it takes longer close the program, check your firewall settings, disable antivirus software, close all applications running in background and try again)

6. Save the extracted file to your hard disk and upload it in the allGSMunlock client

In case the computer shuts down or restarts when you are trying to use the unlock application then it may mean you are usin an UNPATCHED Windows XP SP2 installation in combination with ActiveSync4.5 (you have never installed any CRITICAL Microsoft BUG fixes).
