The Nokia N78 is running on Symbian OS 9.3, S60 3rd Edition (as I recall it), and Garmin has a very good software solution for this.

I was just trying to google "n78" and "garmin", and apparently someone had some problems wit version 4, but I found this in a nokia forum (http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/discussions/board/message?board.id=smartphones&message.id=94930):
"I have n78 with garmin xt 5.00.00 and it works perfect.Voice navigation,route planing,even garmin weather and other garmin online features work well.It takes about 1 min to find satelites if you are not moving and i have a-gps turned off!So no, you dont need internet connection to use it,its completely free!"
