View Full Version : tom tom stopped working
I dont know what to do anymore. I have tomtom go720 with wester and central europe maps , everything worked perfectly , but just yesterday something happend , it works but when i select a destination and it starts giving the route the screen does jam and nothing work , i cant turn it off neither pressing on the screen does change something.
I format my tomtom and restore all stuff again but still gives the same problem.

any advice guys !
Your (digitizer) touch panel has been damaged
check the connections on the main pcb and lcd ;)
are you sure, what do you advice , to open it and check if is attached properly?
i can see everything on the screen , it does also scroll through the menu, i can change settings, see routes , but when it comes up to see the routes in real time when there is a car symbol in the navigator and it does give you instructions, at that point it does jam

Then it's a software issue.
delete all content of the tomtom and start again ;)
thank you guys for the help that you are giving , however , i backupd all the files then fotmatted everthing in fat32 mode and then put all the files back, it does still give the same problem
cpu .... perhaps 1 or more of your files have become corrupted.
Probably best not to copy your old files back to the device, but try another fresh navcore together with another set of map files too.
It may work or it may not ......
yeah thank guys , now im going to restart again and install the maps 8.25,do u know which is latest navcore that does work with these maps on go 720
