motorola xx14xx does not unlock with 8 digit special code

I have a v50 with tamper alert on it. Was told that I can unlock it and get rid off Tamper Alert with special code.

IMEI is :- 449270100295375
code i received : - 76073848

Procedure : - Switch on phone, Wait 20 mins or so until phone stops beeping and aska for code. Enter code but it says wrong code.

Guy who i got the code off is sure that it is correct

What could i be doing wrong? Maybe tamper alerted phones require a different methos?

I have the same problem and tried to find someone who can give (sell) me special code from I-mei. I did not succeed.

Do you know someone who can do that for me?

Hi there,

I have just fixed my motorola v50 which said tampered on it.

I got a special code from: http://www.unlocking.net/

It cost me £10 you have to have a sim in the phone for about 1 hour it will give you a hedache beeping don't worry.

After that it will reset and ask for the special code enter the code and your up and running, phone will also be unlocked
