how can i do this and install a car on my garmin xt

Hi anfield68,

Download the allvehicles.zip from Garmin and unzip to a folder on a PC. Copy the *.srf files in the folder to the \Garmin\Vehicles folder on the microSD card. Start GMXT and go to Tools | Settings | Map | Vehicle and choose the vehicle you want to use as a location indicator.
