Greeting Engineers ...
Successfully unlock a Blackberry 8900, but when I try with another of the same model shows me the following:

Searching for usb device ...
Reading info ...
IMEI: 35948502XXXXXXX
Calculating ...

Unsupported simlock type ! Sorry but you must use slow method !
Time needed - 00:00:09

Could someone explain how the "Slow Method"
Where do I click?
What have to change?
What should show?

Please be grateful....

Thanks for your reply.

But in my case the version of software is very recent, this is the 4.6.1.168 for Blackberry 8900, the SFI did not even exist in Furious Download Area.
There are no models 9530 and 8900 9500...

I do in that case?

-----Download and install BackBerry Device software for your BlackBerry and remove vendor.xml.
-----Download JL_Cmder - Unzip > Double click extracted file to install (Google it)
-----Icon will appear on desktop confirming install.
-----Close BlackBerry Desktop Manager. Make sure not runing during nexts steps.
-----In windows click Start > Run > Type CMD
(or launch Command Prompt from the start menu = Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt)
----- Change the directory to: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
----- To do this simply type:
cd C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
Connect the USB between BlackBerry and your computer.
-----In the Command Prompt window and type:
loader.exe /nojvm

This might help?!?! Doesnt work for me

I copied it from a post on issues with 9500 slow unlocking issues,

Q: MY BLACKBERRY ONLY SUPPORTED BY SLOW METHOD UNLOCKING
BUT NO SUCH A SFI VER. ON SUPPORT AREA

1. download & install same FW ver. of your BLACKBERRY
2. find your SFI in 1 of these paths
e.g. 8310
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8310-v4.5.0.52_P2.7.0.66\GPRS
e.g. 9000
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9000-v4.6.0.144_P4.0.0.143\UMTS

furius is a **** tested only you cant use slow method on the 8220, 8900, 9500 & 9530. if you could then you would also be able to change imei/pin number remove branding etc..

currently can only do a fast code read and it always doesnt work

sorry i guess we are all waiting for a BlackBerry Smart Tool update
