I have changed my c55' firmware to v180101
Now "Data Exchange Software v 2.6.7" can't connect to
my phone (with a non original cable) why? :eek:
Just unlock Java with Java Unlocker By Sky...
i try to use it but can't unlock java who can tell me why i can't?
- i use windows XP
- i haven't dongle
- i use non original datacable

I unlocked my phone with skylord.. but DES doesn't works.
P.S.
The unlocker say me OK...
How can i see if the phone is really unlocked?
i see from another website (but i can't remember it) when he unlock he can use DES.

What FW version do you have? (i have v18)
When i execute the unlocker and press start button
it says scanning...
I press the red button on my phon and the unlocker says OK.
But DES still doesn' t work

No i haven't dongle
I have win NT 4.0, i think the problem is not the OS but the cell FW.
I have read a post (i don't remember where) that someone with
FW 10 use DES without problems

I think to unlock the phone you must have the positive pole
(pin 1) connected on the data cable...

Yes i read too fw10 work with DES but now i upgrade to fw18. and that person update by use skylord at fw10 and now fw18 he still can use DES.... from u pic ...... i think now i wait new software or new datacable is better for me

really unlocked my phone!!!!!!!
Now i can use DES 2.6.7 with v18 without open the phone!!!!!!!
Pin 1 e 2 must be connected look at images!

I add a procedure in italian /english to my site inside CABLE section.

It actually works to unlock a C55 with the original Siemens DCA-510 USB cable. My phone has version 18 of the software, which I flashed myself with the cable before unlocking it.
Here's how:
1. Switch off the phone
2. Switch on the "charge"-button on the cable to supply the phone with +5V on pins 1 and 2.
3. Run Skylord's Unlocker. I used version 1.3
First press the "Start" button of the unlocker program.
Then press the "red" (on) button on the phone for a short while. The program shall now say "Done" and display version and language.
4. Finished! Now turn on the phone and use the Data Exchange Software to access the data in the phone.

Hi guys, sorry t oask this newbie one, I'm new to the C55 and I'm still enjoy all his geatures, but how can I let DES to detect my Phone through not-original USB cable? the program on opening say it cannot find it, though it work with the software that came with.....already have the java enabler , can't wait to work with..

Actually, I do start java-enabler 1.3 but it just stay scanning and nothing else, what about com ports? how the about USB cable ?
all the program here mentioned are com related..please someone help me, only want to run DES 2.67............;)

Can the original Siemens Serial Data Cable be used for the skylord unlocker? (i.e. the non-USB one).
seems not to be working, I was able to make it work with the usb one at the end
on com3, NICE indeed!!!

(although I just got the serial one! I guess that wasn't so clever!) - I should send it back or do the modification to provide the +5V on pin1 (and -ve on pin2).
The only other questions would be about the C56. It comes with fw19.
1. Which skylord unlocker to use - 1.3 or 1.2?
2. How safe is the skylord unlocker - i.e. can damage be done to the phone?
3. Does the C56 even need it? I've googled 'C56' & 'skylord' but theres nothing - whereas with 'C55' and 'skylord' theres a few things.
