View Full Version : Present for RizaPN or Siemens Language Editor 1.3
Hello Guys from all over the world!!! Greetings from Latvia! Special greetings for RizaPN, realy cool Guy, from Latvian and Russian SL4x users, Your patches and programs are popular and known by every Siemens Mobile user ;)!!!
So here is the programm I want present to You, the author is russian guy ho names itself SkyLord, so fat thanks goes to him..

This program is for changing language packs in Siemens Mobile`s flash (many models) and to changing SL4x *lng files ;)
For example: You like to change names of buttons,texts etc. You can change ALL TEXT YOU SEE ON YOUR MOBILE`S DISPLAY
So if you want to make changes in *.lng You need to:
1.Copy from MMC that language In one folder with proggi,
2.Run slged.exe
3.Press "Decompile LGpack from flash"
4.In File type select "SL4x language file *.lng"
5.Save this file
6.Open saved file in text editor "MsWord or etc."
7.Make all changes as you like ;) Your mobile speak to You
8.Save file (Attention! Word saves it as *.txt file, just rename it to *.lgp)
9.Run Siemens Language Editor 1.3, and press "Compile LGpack to flash" select you changed *.lgp file,open it, and save it as SL4x language file *.lng
10.Copy back to MMC
Enjoy....
P.S. If some people like to change ENGLISH.LNG ,You need to open fullflash ;)

i think this soft does not support XP Pro... Because when try to execute it says "unexpected error"
i copied comctl32.ocx
Isn`t true!!! It must work under XP ;)
You just need some files, download these, and copy to WINNT/SYSTEM32/

what's mean of : <95> and <96> and .... in the string ? its seems that some unicode character still not display as it supposed , for example letter : ă ã . is it because of the use of those <95> <96> ... <xx> ?

<95> is Language code in ASC table, coz phone use not words, just code for display a function... It means that for every language is some <..> code table...
would you pleaes help me to find what <xx> to be for these characters ? :
ắ : U+1EAF latin small letter a with breve and acute
ệ : U+1EC7 latin small letter e with circumflex and dot below

edit : these characters are in the series just after arabic code table , the program decode the arabic table to : A0 , but it doesn't work for me when using A1 ( also A2 -> AF ) for upon characters . I'm a fool but I've tested from 90 -> FF but no code table suit for those characters - but it still in the unicode table indeed . I think it is still depend on another setting ( ex: langID , ... ) Any walkaround ( hex edit ) , info is appreciated .
DjCook i have downloaded the prog files and the files listed below and copied to win/system 32 , but the prog still doesn`t start . I have an error : System error &H800700C1 (-2147024703).
May You help me plz , maybe i did somethig wrong ?

same happenns to me it doesn't work.
it says it can't find the comctl32.ocx file after i put it in the system32 folder. i've tried registering it too but it doens't work.
....Don`t have any idea why it`s so...
Just now tryed on my PC... Work w\o problem...

i take it you're using win xp. do you have the service pack 1 installed?
!!!! Oh I forgot to say it!!! I use XP, without SP1..

perhaps it's something in teh service pack that makes it unusable becuas i have the service pack 1 installed. can anyone else confirm this?

You have added these files, right???
BUT!!!! Have you registered You files??? Huhh??
Ok, ok.. Just type in "Run" window: "regsvr32.exe COMDLG32.OCX"
And it`s gonna be allright!! Use it, enjoy it .. Never too late to learn ;)

yeah i tried that, it says COMDLG32.OCX is not an executable file and no registration helperis registered for this file type. same for all three files.
An mistake in previous post, try this!!! regsvr32.exe comctl32.ocx

it says the same thing. i have put all the three files in the windows/system32 folder and none of them register. i've tried moving them to another directory and putting the whole directory after the regsrv32.exe but it doesn't work.
have you tried this?

try this..
to register.. run >regsvr32.exe %windir%\system32\FILE NAME
unregister.. run >regsvr32.exe /u %windir%\system32\FILE NAME

i've tried using the exact directories, and have tried putitng them in quotes, and they all say the same thing.
i've tried unregistering them but still the same error.

okay may be windows cant locate the file..
log on as "Administrator" (not user with Administrators right)
copy the file to c:\windows\system32
then run >Regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\FILE NAME
and that's XP are on C: drive.
i dont see reason why you can not register file(s) for XP sp1
but you had very old version(outdated) of file(s)

WOOO HOOOO, finaly i've got it working. turns out it was the files at the link posted previously, they are corrupt apparently. i went to http://koti.mbnet.fi/~ilaripih/MPEHome/troubleshoot.htm#2
and it gives you decent files that work. maybe it's just my pc. oh well it works now. thanks for the help guys.
for winxp, maybe u can try this: put 2 ocx files (comctl32.ocx & comdlg32.ocx) into system dir and then set compatibility mode for hat EXE file.

You can change Thai language pack but it can't display becoz your mobile phone has no Thai font .
You can ask how to edit font from rizaPN

why every times i read full flash for x35 series the size is 4096, decompile in lgp and edit some of it, and compiling it back into bin format would effect in decreasing the file size, i can't upload it anymore to the phone, what the matter with it ? is it wrong with the editor i used ?

recompile LGP into exist fullflash (overwrite) ...
When you press Compile LGpack to flash,
a window jumps out , there you must select *.lgp file that you changed,
press Open and then another window jumps out,
there you must find the full flash file and press on it.
Then press Save.
PC will ask you: Do you want to replace the existing file?
You must select Yes.
Then your Full flash will be updated with your new Language!!! ;)

But there is another problem for me. I am Latvian and I want to place in latvian letters, like â ð ò ç û etc.
In another phone language pack (C55) I found that these letters must be placed in like that, for example:
k<97>â<95>rlis or kri<97>ð<95>j<97>â<95>nis , but In mobile phone I see these words like this:
k.rlis or kriðj.nis
What am I doing wrong? All these letters, with line on them (â,û,î,ç), display like dot (.)
BTW, I use Siemens ME45
