Hi,
I have contact service on my nokia 5130 and don't want to buy another phone, but can I flash this phone so it will work again? where can i find the correct software?
where can i find a diagram of the data cable (how to make)?
because I don't want to buy a data cable, i'll try to make it my own. Please help me

I'd recommend to use images/top_search.gif-function.
This problem has been discussed at lot of times for the 5110. It works the same way with 5130.
In short you'll need at least the following things to repair your phone:
MBUS or M2BUS cable to connect your phone to a COM port.
EEPROM Tools 3.1 and/or 4.0 to test why your phone is in Contact Service; maybe they can repair it, too.
Maybe Rolis Flasher 4.78 to flash your phone.
Maybe some flash files (http://www.gsmflashes.com).
Search the net for these resources, there are tons of locations to download (i.e. http://www.gsmschwantz.com/ ). Some of them are also mentioned in posts here again and again. Read through the board to gain knowledge. Play with your phone to gain experience. Ask for help here if you get stuck :) ...

thanx for your help, i've found very usefull information already on this forum and others on the internet (of course where would they be :) ) and I think it 'll work but i'll start building my datacable first, and than i'll gain more information about flashing, if i've more questions, i'll certainly ask on this forum

why dont u check before pt it is post for old dct3 handset. posted in 2003. so plz check right section before post.

bro if you have mxkey try this process
if your sim lock is valid do sx4 and write pm , if not solved update your simlock / repair. if not solved in these process, you have to erase , bro no other option than these at the moment
