Hello Riza.

This feature was possible in very old firmware versions.

Is it possible to offer the "/" symbol, when archiving a SMS.
The symbol should appear, after pressing the "*" button several times. ( Or in any other way ).
This feature would make it possible to archive a SMS direct into sub-folders.

e.g. the filename archive name
joke/20030325 would archive a SMS direct in
%MMC_ROOT%/SMS/JOKE/20030325

Sorry for my poor english.

But thanks a lot in advance - Maybe there are more users, who think the patch is usefull.

Cool idea! :) I think this patch will be useful.
If you want to add symbol "/" to the list of symbols of keys you may use my program V_Klay (http://www.valeravi.tk). Use tab "Keyboard layout".
But i already check your idea, and add this symbol to the list of symbols of key 0 (dont try to add symbols to the key * or # - the layouts of this key changed only for SMS editor, but not for Card-Explorer) - the SL45i said that this is a writing error, if i add symbol "/" :(
RizaPN! We need you help!!! :)...

Yes! I found it! :)
Before use name like this:
joke/20030325
you must make JOKE folder in SMS folder with help of Card-Explorer. And then all will we OK! I tested it and its worked! :)

Full example:
1. You want add some SMS to the folder JOKE
2. With help of my program V_KLay (Tab "Keyboard layout") remove symbol "/" from list of symbols on key *, and add this symbol "/" to the list of symbols on key 0.
3. Run Card explorer, go to the SMS folder, and make there a folder JOKE. Exit explorer.
4. Now, when you want to save SMS messages to the folder JOKE write before the name string JOKE/ ex:
JOKE/20030325
5. the SMS will be saved to the path:
%MMC_ROOT%/SMS/JOKE/20030325
6. If you want to save some SMS to another folders - just make it with help of Card-Explorer, and then write it's name with "/" before name of SMS.

@ValeraVi

Hello. I have used your program very often and I like it very much. But when I assign the "/" to the "0" key, it is not possible to get that char, when creating the filename. The sign "/" is only available in the SMS Editor.
But thanks very much for your help. Maybe it will be possible soon, to fix the problem in another way.

Best regards,
Doktor M@buse.

@Doktor M@buse
Like i said - i fully tested this method and it is worked on my phone wit firmware v56! If you have a problem with my program - describe the problem more precisly and i try to help!

@robbiesl42
The .INI file lies in the folder "Keyboard Layouts". This folder lies in the folder where you install the V_KLay.

@ValeraVi

Your program is working 100%. That's no problem. I managed to fix the keypad "0" to generate "/" chars in the SMS Editor.
But when generating a filename, there are not the same chars on "0" like in the SMS Editor. But thanks for your support.

Best regards,

I have tested it and doesn´t run for me in 0 key. I have added the symbol "/" to 9 key and it runs perfectly. Maybe it depends the language selected.
Thank´s ValeraVi.

Can you tell me what .INI file you use?

@ValeraVi

Hello again.

I use
V_KLay_SL45i_fw5601_English.ini
to be exact ;-)
On "1" it doesn't work either.
I have assigned the "/" to key "9" now and it works fine.
Thanks to all of you, once again.

@Doktor M@buse
Thank's! :)
I know - for key 1,*,# and 0 - you can not change symbols for Card-Explorer :) Only for SMS. :)
Early i said that this working for my phone, but i forget, that i make some changes in my phone by hands - before i writting my program for that :) :).
If you want, i can remake .INI file and you can make same (in SMS editor and Card-Explorer) keyboard layouts for keys *, 0. (and maybe # and 1, but on this keys we have many symbols that we do not needed in CardExplorer).

I made new .INI file:
http://www.is.svitonline.com/valeravi/SiemensSL45i/V_KLay/Keyboard%20Layouts/V_KLay_SL45i_fw5601_English.ini
with this ini you can make same (in SMS editor and Card-Explorer) symbols list for 0 and * keys

Hello to all !

My question is: Is there a possibility to map on keys charakters (Polish) like ¹êæóœ³ñ¿Ÿ, maybe using ValeraVi's V_KLay.. I know that editing contacts on PC allows to make them use these characters, but it's impossible using only the mobile.. You're the masters, so tell me - is it possible to overwrite some characters to ¹êæóœ³ñ¿Ÿ..

Thanks
Phlnx

@ValeraVi

IT WORKS.
And I love it.

Thanks so much. I own a S55 also, but all the patches make the SL45i sooooooo beautiful.

@Phalanx
Yes! It is possible! Use V_KLay, tab "Keyboard layout"! I made this program for this! :)
If you have WinXP/2000 you may assign symbols by type it in the edit box. If you have Win9x/Me - you can type only codes of this symbols...

@Doktor M@buse
I agree :) - SL45i - rules! :)
