but cant use together Up arrow - "SIM-Location" and Right arrow - "Card-Explorer"

but one think i noticed is that you cannot access now the the PTT Button when keypad is locked....
is it possible to have this patch as well??? together with the screensaver???

If i long press * the sounds is turned OFF and ON - i know this, but then (when i turn OFF sound by long press * ) i dont feel a incoming calls.
If, when i turn sound OFF also vibra will be turned ON (and - if i turn sound ON, vibra also turned OFF) it will be beautifully. May be this method is more easy to implement for you, if you want?

I do not have a problem with turn ON and OFF the sounds and the vibra!!! I have read the maunal and i know how i can turn all this stuff OFF and ON!!!!
My problem is:
Every day i go to the work at morning. And at evening i go to home :) At work i use profile "Quiet" - because i DO NOT want that my phone is ringing by the speaker - only by the vibra - because at work my mobile is in my pocket and i can easy feel the incoming call. At home - my mobile lies at the desk, and use "Normal" profile - vibra is OFF, sounds is ON. And if i go to the another room i can heart the ring from speaker (i cannot hear the vibra if i in another room :)).... And my general problem - that every day (minimum - twice in a day) i must switch between "Norm" and "Quiet" profiles. For do this i must press a lot amount of buttons :): *, RigthSoftKey, UpKey (or DownKey), RigthSoftKey, RedKey. I.e - 5 keys. And therefore i ask RizaPN to help me to decrease amount of key to ONE LONG PRESS of some sey (for examlpe key8).

i love your midlet-screensaver-patch! the only thing, you can improve is the remove of the keylock. in this patch it suffices to press the red button for a short time. i think it will be more perfect, if i have to press the #button longly.

About "Screen Saver Midlet" patch:

That patch use a normal midlet. So, all midlet running habbit is present. There is *NO* possibility (as far as I know) to combine midlet with some standard phone function, just like : accessing main menu, displaying text message, or using VoiceCommand throught the PTT button. If we want to have *ALL* normal function, then we can not use midlet as a screen saver, we have to use the firmware built-in function to create a new screen saver function.

And about the midlet, if we want to use another button for exiting from midlet, we need to modify the midlet, not the patch. So, modify the midlet, or use another midlet, or ask about that midlet modification.

Thanks for your help. I think the better midlet to use during keylock would be your clock midlet and, as you told us before and if you can, the best solution to the "PTT problem" can be mapping PTT command as "RPNClock EXIT command " in your midlet(if it could be done).
Please,take this as a possible advice from someone with no midlet programming knowledge: i'm more than happy with your actual great job! ;o)

I think Minesweeper and Labyrinth are games in SL ;) (Surf-fun>Games) I have 6688>SL45i and i have it.
Unfortenly, only You have this games.. :) (Lucky Bastard :))

I play labyrinth with playing mp3 - with version 02 of that patch i havenīt seeking in music :D

You need to choice the midlet, then copy the midlet.jad file into the "S" directory and rename it"X.jad"
NOw, edit the midlet jar url in the x.jad file to point to your choosen midlet location.

i'm aware of the *** Modify MP3 Player's Fast Forward to become Skip or Quit Function *** patch but it's no good for me as i want to be able to fast forward.
i was just wondering if it's possbile to use the button on top of the volume buttons to skip to the next track. this will mean i can use it when the keypad is locked and still fast forward by holding the play button. as far as i know it has no function whilst in mp3 player mode and therefore is a "spare" button, ie no other function would be lost.

And about patch for displaying name and number of incoming call: i try to insert in the name in address book a symbol of new line (10, 0x0a) (i add this symbol to the key* by help of my prog v_klay :)) and this name in most cases is displayed in 2 rows: in address book (when view or edit), in detailed view of call missed, in other cases (in list of address book entries, in list of calls missed) in place where i insert a 0xa i see a dot (that mee what symbol is cannot be displayed) BUT in incoming call screen i see only one (first) row and without a dot. I think it meen that in incoming call screen you may use 0x0a symbol for make a new line, only what you need - increase the bottom boundary of rectangle for text in this screen. Or function, that draw the text on the screen do not take as his parameter a output rectangle?

I added the vkp file relating to the "midlet as screensaver" patch from the site valeraVi linked 2 threads below.
But there is no midlet if I excecute the keylock. only an empty screen and after a short time (2 minutes) the normal screen ist there again.
I saved the midlet (jad and jar file) on my MMC in this order: MMC\Java\s\midlet.jar or jad
But there is no function
Is anyboda able to help me?

Firs of all make the undo of the patch v02. Then go to the my page again and download v03 of this patch - sorry but i updated to v03 only at this moment :(.
Second - you must read the comments of RizaPN more careful. And then you can see that you must copy to the a:\Java\s\ only .jad file, then rename it to the "x.jad", then open it in notepad and correct the parameter MIDlet-Jar-URL: to the path where your's actual midlet jar file lies.

Please read all info inside each patch for minimizing the useless question.
You must check again, and ask this : "If somebody else could apply it without problem,
why do I got some strange problem? Did I put them correctly?" ... just before you
ask something.
SKIP or QUIT Function for MP3Player
That patch is only need to be applied if you want to *optimize you PTT button*.
If you do *NOT* use that button frequently, you do not need to (better if you
are not) apply that. All function is provided completely in the normal MP3 Player.
Different Game:
I have no idea. But for your info, some deleted game is really deleted from firmware.
We can not just enable it like NetMonitor, but we have to rewrite the whole byte-code.
My SL 'only' have these games : Super Mind, Move The Box, Wacko, Homerun, Reversi,
Quattropoli, and The Maze.

But, I already try that method. My problem is I still do not know the location of 'drawString' function in the firmware. If I found that, I think it will be more easy to check each parameter meaning, and hope there is X and Y parameter.

2. I did try them. The problem is : Load Screen Style function use EEPROM area to save the image. There is not enough EEPROM area to save the new size of images. There are only : 7 buffer to save WAIT icons (very small images), and 10 buffer for ON (full-screen) images. I did try to increase the size of WAIT image, but phone can not handle them (dead). So, I stop that 'test'.
Screen Saver Midlet:
I did post another version of that patch in the Sticky Posting only. Using that patch, the keylock function of long-pressing button # is still exist, and the midlet could be executed automatically only by "Auto Keylock" options.

a new sequence, to get this functions in the play-mode.
Is it possible to use another new sequence for the PTT-Function,
to skip the titles by longpressing ptt-button and the functions at the SL45 keep the same (at the old patch you couldn't play forward anymore after the patch!.
And to go out of the mp3-play-menu you perhaps can write a seqwuence with few close function to get the main menu!

I have one question for Ya for a long time...
Before I have added ***Operator Screen Logo v.4.0*** My midlets was worked allmost prrfect..
Now, many midlets don`t work, or mobile simply shutting down w\o Log Off animation..
Is it from that patch (I tryed to Deactivate Net Mon, but problem not gone) ??? Maybe You know some ways how we can extend, or clear a little bit more memory for upplets??

Fast forward when long press in play mode.
Next song when long press in pause mode.

i tried it before, and i had the same problem, it's not working, i think because the skip function is deactivated in the paused mode.

- About those games, as far as I know, yes, we need to rewrite all of them, not just activate them. If pctec said that he has another games in his SLIKv56, then perhaps he can upload his BIN to a server, so I can download it and compare it with mine (to make it faster to get the new games stuff).
- In my SL, that text is not "Send Ringtone" but "Send DTMF Tones". Send DTMF Tones is already used in Conversation Mode.
- I use Operator Logo v04 patch, and I have no problem with all midlets. Please recheck your patches.
MP3 Player:
- I don't want to play with MP3 Player button anymore, unless it give totally new. In my opinion, PTT button is used only in unusual condition (when we drive for example), not in a normal condition. If you can touch your phone button easily, why don't you just use a normal button to get your requested function? Again, in my opinion, PTT is better to use only for PAUSE (when we need to hear something else), and EXIT (when we want to use VoiceDial function), other than that, you can use all normal button.
- Like somebody else said in the very beginning of MP3Player discussion, if you don't like the song (so you need to SKIP it), why do you install it? Why don't you just delete it from your MMC to save the space?
- Yesterday, I found a location about 30 songs limit in the MP3Player. Unfortunately, there are so many byte-code need to be changed to get more than that. I can reduce it (for example to become just 5 songs, but of course who want to get less than that?) with very easy, but it is not so easy to increase it. My test is always failed.

Using with opportunity I thank for hitherto exists patche. I it had not opportunity yet.
Limitation in MP3Player is a bit burdensome, especially when (so as at me) is in telephone card 128MB. If I have on card more than 31 songs I do second playlist (playlist2) there now this it is not comfortable solution. If it would be successful to achieve something it - would be and when the opportunity occurs your stay in Poland great place cold beer :D It be owes anyway already more than one :D

And about MP§ Player, of cource you can delete the songs you don't want to here.
But not everybody is able to change his songs every day.
And sometimes you like to hear a special song, another day another song....
But if have not idea or time, to change it, it's OK

i don't understand what everyone's saying about the 30 song limit. when i play my mp3's, i can play all 40 using the next button.

Well do u play ur MP3's by pressing the side button on the fone? Or do u go down the list of songs and choose one manually?
If u make the fone play them automaticially in any order (or shuffle), it only plays the first 31 songs, then repeats them. It doesn't go onto the next however many...
I have a problem with this patch *** 43. Using midlet for Screen Saver when Keylocked v03 ***.
When I use it the phone always turns off. I have copied a file named x.jad inside a:/java/s and I have edited it to put in the MIDlet-Jar-URL: file://a:/java/jam/clock.jar
but never runs and the phone turns off when I wait a minute.
The patch for executing midlets with a number+ rigth key runs for me always. What I'm doing wrong?

sorry you're right. same here. don't know why i thought it played all of them, it justt went on for so long i assumed it was more than 30 songs.
i have a request for a patche.
when in mp3 player, when i select an mp3 from the list and play it, normally it stops when the song finishes and goes back to the list. it would be much better if it carried on playing the rest of the songs. the list is always accessbile with the red button.

Learn About Patching (and Find Entry-Point) :
1. I did wrote some guidance how to get the entry-point of each function using menu structure in the "GSM Programming" section (in this forum). Please search (by sender name in that section only) and read that. It was there, exist for very long time...
2. If we really want to learn about patching, then we must learn about C166 assembler. If we know that, then it is not so hard to get entry-point information directly from all existing patches already published (from their addresses and byte-codes). If we can not get it, then we should learn more about assembler...

graphic section: you must use program called ffmod for edit of .bin file from your phone. (my UFO/pin feature + end animation + better gfx in system at my page is created with ffmod too.)
Pictures at positions: 112,113,114,...123
INCREASE, DECREASE - I didnīt apply patch yet, but I think itīs function for jumping in menu - with first key to next entrypoint. with second key to next next entrypoint - so Itīs faster - this is only my idea.

Yes, it works - loOk at my NEW SITE (in signature)
Increase, decrease: when you are menu, where all 12 small icons on same display (T68i style) then you use increase/decrease for right navigation by -joystick- > up,left,down,right (it jumps to next icon in fw)
But I prefer style: right=menu, left=exit, up&down=navigate

As RizaPN said the gfx menu patch will overwite the "Right Arrow for card explorer".
Well, problems occur if smb has the "Right or Up Arrow for SIM-Access", as both of these include changes in the 0x3B0368.
hi! how about changing entry point in ***MP3 Multitasking *** patch whet pressing "*" button to *** GFX MENU***, and maybe someone knows what I have to change that when I press rightsoft key, it goes to *** GFX MENU ***, not to standard!

If using Andi_HUYVU's menu modify the first two E3 with E4 and everything will work great. Leave the rest as it is.

Is it possible to make a shortcut for turning ON/OFF Silent (vibro) function ?
Maybe it will be possible also to reassign any icon from another tool (handsfree or something else) on the top of the display to see the status of the vibro mode (active or not)

when a call receives in a normal profile you can turn the signal (vibra + ring) off by pressing * long
but in silent mode you can't stop vibrating with * - so i want this function there too.

I know there is a patch which removes _nnn_nnn when moving sms to archive.
However i would like to ask if it's possible to make such a patch which will add date from sms instead of that numbers.
Like "somename_yymmdd_01", "somename_yymmdd_02" and so on?

I use *** 49. Correction for Chronometer (Graphical Menu) *** - buf phone is still turn off when i go to the Surf/Fun (graph menu) -> Chronometer. BUT - if i then go to the chronometer again (when phote is turned of himself) - it's work ok, BUT if i go AGAIN to the chonometer its again turned off himself :). What i do wrong?
After one "wrong turn-off" by chronometer activation I turn my phone on WITHOUT check-PIN procedure, itīs interesting.
Solution: run it from normal menu ;) ehm... :)

Hi,
I wonder or time was alter with large problem after what in time of conversation telephone sound gives (by standards what 1 minute). This function came in handy more, telephone if would gave for example sound 10 seconds before full minute, which would permit on calm end of conversation before outflow of full minute. This means: 0:50, 1:50, 2:50, etc. This would add especially there where counting is what 60 or 30 seconds (so as in Poland). Would this was possible makable?
I hope that all understand about what me it walks despite weak acquaintance of English.
Hi, i have some problems with GFX menu patch
The help menu comes crazy, it goes to different positions . For example, if i go to the internet help section and i go out, when i come back to the help button it goes to internet section, not to help index, and some times the phone crashes.
Any sugesstion?

- After that, use zSiemenz to do Write Block for SL45.
- Click Read File, select eep_blk_profile_A.txt
- Click Write Phone, and then press ON ...
After that, you can rename and (need to) setup each Profile as you like.

My links inside the mobile work fine, but something else is bothering me.
As i made a new GFX menu for which it's more suitable to use Up/Down for scrolling and Right/Left for enter/exit i entered that part of code Riza provided in his patch for GFX Menu. And really, i enter the GFX menu by pressing the Right arrow, but when i start scrolling down, it jums from first to 4th..7th.. position (4th, 7th.. image in the row) skipping those in between. Going Up, it it also skips 3 by 3 pictures.
What could be wrong? :)
P.S. Using the other way of entering and exiting from GFX menu (like right soft or red button) forks just fine.

The rest of the patch is useless, because you can't toggle illumination at the same time. If Vkay says you that original values are different it's normal because i had a copy paste error with the patch, but now itīs corrected.
Itīs possible to modify the operator logo patch to show a concrete image depending on the profile selected? For example, if normal profile is selected show image 648, if quiet profile show 649 e.t.c

Modify MultiLine Indicator to become Vibra Indicator and #[RightSoft] as Vibra Toggle runs perfectly. Perhaps you forgot some values to patch.
And if you want to change the vibra-shortcut you can modify the patches already made by riza, like
Toggling vibra with [0]+[RightSoft]

I need shortcut for Inbox SMS and for Profil (how change that patch to overwrite "IrDA" with Inbox SMS?? )
From the GFX menu I went to Time/Date and when pressed OK directly exits to the idle menu. Then pressed the right-soft key for normal Main-Menu > Red key > returns to Date/Time entry menu (This should be the position to exit after pressing the OK key to set the date & time).
Anyone got the same problem?

My mistake, its work :)
The same icon is for "phone" and "tel. office" And different for "tel. mobile" and "fax".
this patch (*** Show an icon "home/office/mobile" on incoming call ***) dont work if i have tel.number stored in addresbook!!
it works only!! if I have number in sim location!! but it show only one icon (small phon)!!

you must use trhw whole numbur with +49 for germany f.e.
and you muast put numbers under home, office etc.

yes I use the whole number (exmp. +48607334869 for mobile phon) and put number under mobile phon and this doesn't work!!
my phon show icon (only one - small "old" phon) only if I put number in sim location (but dont put in addresbook!!)) why??

Chaos maybe you can do it (RizaPN don't want to do this) . I want to asign a picture to a phone number (just like in siemens c35)
Its great but I can't use long press [+] for voice dialing. Can u change it to [-] button?

I'VE THE SAME PROBLEM FOR VIBRA INDICATOR !!! I've edited a nice icon for Image n°339 and I put it into my BIN. I've modified with the patch BUT THE ICON IS ALWAYS ON MY DISPLAY, WITH OR WITHOUT VIBRA ACTIVE!!! :confused: :eek: Why? There's a conflict with other patches? Or other? :rolleyes: :confused:
I had the same problem. It was solved when I applyed BOTH [0]+[right soft] for the change of the profile from Normal to Quiet mode AND [#]+[right soft] for a vibra toggle.

JUST READ RIZA'S INSTRUCTIONS TO MODIFY THE PATCHES
Can somebody patch it so, to invert the Last and First name in Addressbook? I would like First name to be in the first position and last name to be in the second position.
(I hope the search function will be unaffected and will search from the begining of the line, in that case by the first name).
And probably coma can be removed from between the names with the same patch?

at missed calls menu: >names near to icon can display max 12signs and it`s ok BUT
when we turn off and turn on phone the same names are cutted to 10signs...
why if 12 signs is possible to display names are cutted? it`s looks stupid when name lose 2signs

I got an request for two patches, if you got time and interest in it.
1. The calender highlighting in the sl45i is kinda strange, would be better if the days with an alarm would be highlighted (like in the S/ME45)
2. The status report when sending a message, is it possible that it would show name instead of number, so you would see who you sent the message to.

is it possible to make it so that when you press the red button and the sim card's not in, the phone doesn't switch off? but just goes back to the please insert sim scren.
I just don't understand it 100%!! :( I've changed nr 112 to 123 with the good bmp pictures with ffmod, and saved it as a .bin file. But i am not able to upload it to my phone with Unisiemens!! It just sais comport error and something, but nothing's wrong with my comport, and my phone is good connected! Is there any other program to upload my .bin file to my sl45i? Or what to do?

And I got few asks concerning SMS Inbox...
1. Is it possible to display scrollbar in SMS Inbox as on standard menus ? I'm getting lot of messages from the same numbers... and some time I'm not sure if i'm scrolling or not. (Coz of lags).
2. Is it possible to display oldest unread SMS instead of newest unread SMS when clicking Envelope sign in left menu key shortcut when received new SMSes? (WWW -> SMS split messages would be displayed then from the beginning 1st SMS).
3. Is it possible to make a shortcut in SMS reading window (mode) like: [4] previous SMS [6] next SMS... to jump to next sms reading on the fly instea
