I was maked this topic specialy for SL4x midlets, so we can disquss about new and old ones :D
So i have one question for all people understanding in Java, I have SpruceFX clock midlet, that one is realy pretty, but I`d like to redo it just a little bit, I like to do thai it runs, and do not asking adout effects, snow, stars and rain... Its better to make 3 midlets from one, with different effect..
This midlet is wery comfortable, wery shot, runs wery quikly, shows date, time, month, year.. so it is possible to use it as screensaver..
Anydody have any ideas?? :)

Anybody know how to modify Rolek midlet so it skip intro without press any key?
I really like this midlet for screen saver, It has daydate, beep every hour and we can change the picture.

may you send me the stars 2d version? if it is not to complicate, can you try to modifi it in that way, that i have to press # to quit the program.
maybe you can tell me, how you did it (in german :) ) , so i haven't to ask every time i need st.

i don't know, how to change the picture at rolek!
Can somebody help?
just open the jar file with winzip, u can change all the png files.
i made the opening picture blank, now its like blank screen saver and if u press anykey it shows the clock.

I use PJCLOCK, itīs midlet with good loading, with good options, with good exiting.

Midlet as Screensaver - this is very cool :), but working time (time between rechargning the phone battery) of mobile phone decreases approximatly by half :(
Yes, I have same problem, since I have added this patch, my battery lives only 24 hours w\o recharging, I think, it`s because processor takes too much energy.. We can nothing to do with that problem..
yea, that because we force cpu to work in standby time & the screen must refresh more often for the effect.
i hope there is a patch for just blank screen saver, it would (really) save the screen lifetime & the battery too,
but not so cool. :)
Battery:
Yes, that is the disadvantage of using midlet. From what I hear, the CPU will run in the "maximum" speed when it is in the Java "mode" (consuming more battery power).
Blank Screen:
If we talk about that Screen Saver midlet patch, then you just need to rename your x.jad to become another name, such as a.jad or w.jad (as long as there is no x.jad in that a:/java/s/ directory), and activate your Auto KeyLock, then you will get Blank Screen as your screen saver. But, I'm not sure that it will save the battery life. It is still midlet.

I use animated operator logo and clock midlet I have activated by pressing key :) I think I have problems with battery but Iīm sending a lot of SMS, calls,... so I CHARGE MY BATTERY EVERY (maybe every second) DAY in MY OFFICE ;)
I bought cheap extra-capacity battery but itīs fat and finally in my case it looks as a brick so I donīt use it :)
I know that a lot of charging may destruct function of battery (about 1000x charge-cyclus), so when will be battery KO, Iīll buy a new one (cheap).
Moral of this article - donīt worry if you have place to charge :)
Look at two small midlets I wrote recently.

If u dont mind, can u change bitsaver midlet, so we can skip the picture by pressing arrows (for next/prev. picture) for new midlet: bitmap slideshow :)

...and I wish set-up of speed of animation, because when I use my favourite slideshow pictures is displayed for short time.
