I have an 8310 here that the keypad will not work on, I have swapped the screen with a known good one and the same fault occurs so this seems too be e board fault. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Read old posts... This problem already appear before.
You might have a volume key stucked...
Hi
Reflow/Replace Z301 emi filter , and check X303 B 2 B connector , and if still faulty its the UPP D400 thats probably at fault .
